Hi, after checking chrome realised that an update was available. After update  everything works fine. Is that could be the problem ( older version of chrome) ?

Do you have any plugins on that browser? IF so, please disable those. Also ensure you are using a default theme with no 3rd party items enabled on your site. If you still cannot find the issue, please let us know.

Edjazoli reacted to SeNioR- in Lazy loading for Category Icons
I just tested the page in PageSpeed Insights and Google suggested to add lazy loading to category icons.
    <img src="{file="$forum->icon" extension="forums_Icons"}" alt='' class='ipsItemStatus ipsItemStatus_custom {{if !\IPS\forums\Topic::containerUnread( $forum ) && !$forum->redirect_on}}ipsItemStatus_read{{endif}}'> The icons also don't have width and height attributes.
What do you think about it?

You are right and I agree.
If a guest uses a nickname, eg "tom", another user cannot use it during registration. The "Post Before Registering" option only works if a new post is added, not a new topic.

Hi. Today, one of the guests, after creating a topic and getting a few answers, decided to register, however he texted me that he could not choose the name for his  profile that he used in the guest post/topic, "username not available"  (he added an extra letter to complete the registration of course)
So the question for you guys.
Are there any chance to add an option /setting for guests to be able to use their username when registering as they did in the question without registering? And then after registration the post will count as theirs and not a guest so they can have reputation points, chance to choose best answer etc?

V11LeMans.com is a worldwide forum running on InvisionBoard for 20 years. It's members are mainly english speaking, but I would like to reach a bigger audience. Therefore I've been searching here for a plugin that can translate member posts with a click (like on Facebook) and integrates nicely.
Is there such a thing? Could be a interesting for other forum admins too.

    Hello everyone,
I have a question about possibly updating the search we use on our forum.
We currently use the default MySQL as search engine and we noticed that whenever we use for something the results are not like we want, our forum members even resorted to searching what they want in google plus the name of our forum, which have gotten them a lot better results.
Now I was wondering if there were maybe plugins, settings or other things I can do to improve the search?
    Thanks,

As the title suggests, would love for the cacheExpiration value (defaulted to 24 hours) on the forum statistics widget to be configurable by an administrator in a future release, just like it was prior to 4.6.0.
The current 24 hour default setting rather renders the Forum Statistics widget a bit pointless if it's not percieved to update in "real time". I can just imagine the PM's from my users... "Why don't my posts count towards the site total?"

Edjazoli reacted to Dexter_X in Improve achievements system : repeatable rules
There is a good Idea I got from another post to improve achievements system : allow a milestoned rule to be repeatable.
    What does it mean ?
Let's do it through an example :
Consider you've a standard (current system) milestoned rule giving points and a badge to a user creating 20 topics. The user will get points and badge once the milestone is reached an it is over.
It is a good behavior from my point of view. But if you want to award users every 20 created topics, you'll need to create a rule for the 40th topic, the 60th topic and so on...
    Now let's consider a "repeatable" rule :
If you take the same rule and "check the repeatable checkbox in the rule" (don't be afraid  this does not exist - yet -), the rule will give a badge and the points each time the user reach 20 new topics. (and not each time the user creates a new topic from its 20th one because 21 > 20). In other words : once the 20 created topics reached, the user get awarded and an internal counter is reset to 0 until the user creates 20 new topics (so until the users creates 40 topics, and so on).

Of course the principle could be applied to any milestoned rule and it may even reduce the amount of rules we'll need to define.
One last thing : when a user gets twice the same - repeatable - badge, it should be displayed twice in his profile awarded badges list.
