This button is missing for my member usergroup:

But available to my administrator usergroup

Any idea why? Both groups can still remove bookmarks directly from the post. I can't find a per usergroup permission for the "remove bookmark" option.

    EDIT:
Sorry @Fosters, nevermind. This has been resolved. I found the permission. Instead of deleting this post I'll post what I missed in case anyone else has this issue.
I got confused because when I tried to edit the permissions for "Bookmarks" in the Applications section, I got a message that said: "You can control which groups have access to the application by changing the permissions on the modules within the application."  I didn't see that from here, there was an additional dropdown with the bookmark module inside where I could edit the permissions. I created a new usergroup since I initially installed the application, and I didn't realize I needed to grant access there as well as in the main usergroup section.

    Some options:
If it's not too difficult to manage, you may want to think about using secondary membergroups.   Customize the blog block and simply list the users in the block for reference
This is a bug.  Please document your steps and submit a ticket to Support.

I wouldn't count on it.  Such a massive issue would have been mentioned by now for 4.3.
It's caused me to move away from certain third-party themes, not because of flaws on their part  but because IPS seems unwilling to address what is by all accounts a critical flaw in their coding from a cosmetic point of view.  This seems to be one of those instances where IPS's non-commitment to fixing an issue is costing third-party developers money.

I'm another of ehren's customers who would love to see a fix for this. It's the one flaw that keeps the otherwise beautiful templates from being perfect, and unfortunately it's a pretty big flaw.

The issue existed in 4.1 and likely 4.0 too, it's not unique to 4.2. The guide which you linked to isn't related to the issue's we've mentioned, so adding a background colour to the entire site wrapper isn't the solution we're after unfortunately.
We don't need the entire #ipsLayout_contentWrapper area styled, we need the individual content areas correctly wrapped with ipsBox. The HTML structure is correct on most pages, but other pages are broken (shown in all of the screenshots above) since they lack any form of structure. If you need to reproduce this on your own site, simply change the Page Background theme setting to a dark colour such as #3c3c3c and visit any of the affected pages. It'll become quite obvious
Additionally, the headers which are deliberately outside of the ipsBox elements should at least have a class wrapped around them which can give themers the opportunity to easily style them.

When upgrading my themes to 4.2, I have been intentionally trying to avoid HTML modifications in an attempt to make my themes "upgrade friendly". In some cases, template modifications are necessary - however based on my own experience and customer bug reports, it has become increasingly apparent that there are design issues with the Default IPS theme.
Many pages lack the .ipsBox class which should be used to wrap content. Failure to use this class means text is displayed on the body background which is rarely intended. Every theme which uses an image for the background (or even a dark hex colour) will suffer from this. A screenshot of the Rules confirmation screen from a customers website is shown below.

This is easily fixed by wrapping the area with: <div class='ipsBox ipsPad'> however I don't feel as though this is something I should be doing myself - firstly because it means my templates will be modified and secondly because all theme designers can benefit from this. If there could be a conscious effort to go through the suite and apply these classes to the appropriate areas, that would be perfect.

Nevermind, I got it. There was originally an issue with the entire membergroup that was fixed through the permissions but the particular test account I was using to check it happened to have a moderation restriction applied at the account level that I'd forgotten about.

So I find the club widgets lacking! I feel to really engage someone to participate in their club these widgets should be implemented. SO here I go to start to explain widgets that I think are needed:
The Club activity should be a widget that you can drag and drop anywhere so you can have that on more than the club page. Who's online in my clubs. Similar to the who's online list but has a list of members online that are in the members clubs only. Possibly with the number of clubs they have in common in parenthesis afterward so they can know how many clubs they have in common. Gallery, blog, downloads etc widgets that will only show recent club items. With this I think that the member should have options on what clubs show up in these feeds from some clubs settings in their account settings. So if I'm a part of 30 clubs (for an example) but I really need to see what's new in 1-3 of them I can control that is all I see in these widgets.
Yes I'm aware we can use an activity stream (which is fabulous) but I'm looking for something more in your face and (for images and whatnot) more visually appealing than an activity stream.

No. It moves what you requested to move, locked (?) or not. Anyway, go to MANAGE FEATURES and convert it again to a forum. It’s a new feature in this version.

Just chiming in as another customer with demand for this. I bought Commerce over the weekend explicitly for the purpose of creating a points reward shop. I was able to get virtual currency to work with a third party application from the marketplace. Sure it gets the job done, but native support would be better and feel more simple to me.

Fair enough. But I can argue whether this is rather niche. Point systems have been around since forever as an option to improve dedication and reward members for their contributions. But what can you do if you collect zillion points? Almost nothing, you get the warm feeling that you are on top of some leaderboard and thats it.  At the same time we have Commerce, whose integration with downloads can provide excellent options to exchange those points for something valuable - it might be digital download or physical product, you name it. But no, you can't do it.
We have the various point/awards systems, which are very good at providing the members with virtual points, we have commerce which is very good at providing products, but it is impossible to link them together. If I am the only one that can see the enormous potential of such integration (much bigger potential then reputation and the leaderboard), so be it. If the ability to reward your good members with something meaningful is niche, I have nothing to add.
Obviously my suggestion is not applicable for paypal, stripe, 2checkout, etc. The solution here is that if I disable the address field, then commerce will disable these payment gateways. Problem solved - no chargebacks, no support work for you and integrity of the software is not compromised as this way we won't be able to use the popular gateways. You already do that, if I add a currency, which Paypal does not support, it is not available as a payment gateway. Please consider doing the same for when we ignore the address field.
You argue that again this is very niche, but in-store pick up is very popular in USA as well, while cash on delivery is most popular in many countries and I am not speaking about third world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash_on_delivery
Thanks for the offer, I will probably post another topic, I don't think you will be able to give me useful suggestions considering my store is not in English and there are various workarounds I had to implement to get around the restrictions we are discussing here. But really appreciate it.

Hezeber got a reaction from Cyrem in Reports need more streamlining
Although IPS supports setting up subforum moderators, the report UI is a big problem for them. Currently, moderators see all reports whether they can deal with them or not. On an active forum that has, say, over 20 subforums and gets a lot of reports on a daily basis, a moderator who can only deal with one subforum has to wade through a lot of useless content. Since they're constantly seeing a stream of alerts for reports whether they can deal with them or not, they start tuning out the alerts for incoming reports since it's probably not for them anyway. All this makes it more likely that a subforum mod will take longer to see the reports that are actually for them.
We should be able to have the option to filter the reports so moderators can only see reports they have permissions to take action on. I'd prefer this to be the default, but if there's a reason some admins want their subforum moderators to see absolutely everything it should be optional.

When you have the report open, the line under the title is a clickable link to the post. The line with the speech bubble icon that says "Post in Subforum Name". It didn't immediately register as a link for me either because it looks the same as the line on the report index that isn't a clickable link.
InvsionPower's report system is so bad that we ended up making a plugin that sends reports to subforums, and we manage them from there instead. This allows mods to only see and get notifications for reports in their assigned subforums, sort and filter reports in all kinds of other ways, flag them for other people, and search the archives for past issues. I would much prefer to use the report section from the Site Moderation area, but it needs a complete overhaul before it could be usable for my setup.

I agree. We just upgraded to 4.x.
The usability of Reports is a step backward from 3.x, where the interface and flow was very barebones but we could see what we were doing. There are many low-utility doodads on the 4.x version that do nothing to further usability, and some features that were useful in the 3.x version have disappeared.
I have 17 moderators. We coordinate using Reports to track problem posts. A mod (or, very rarely, a member), will report a post we'll have a discussion in the Mod CP Reports -- which might take several weeks -- then make decisions that everyone understands.
At any one time, there might be a dozen reports under discussion. Reports is our customer service system.
In 3.x, there was a flag on a reported post. This marker is necessary, or the next mod to come along may report it again. In the 4.x version, this flag does not exist.

The admincp menu was not created for "ACP->Community->Discord->Settings" at all. I'm not sure if this is only an issue with the menu creation or if the options page is missing altogether. Unless you know of a quick fix, you give me a url I can try navigating to manually?
The installation did not have any errors, the application is enabled, and I do see the discord options under "ACP->Members->Groups" and "ACP->Community->Forums".

They do if one of your admin goes crazy and decides to abuse power by flagging all the members as spammers while you're offline. You'd have to spend days to unhide all the posts of all the members. A tool to unhide all posts made by a member would be quite useful.
