Whether or not you decide to continue with it, only you can answer 3) Yes, you can. You would certainly need review for that. There is a link on how to do this here.     There simply isnt a facility for that at present. Generally patches will not tend to be critical in this manner. I can bring that up internally however

    You actually had no default theme there. All your themes are customised. If I create a new theme (a new default), this shows no such issues

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

    There is no notification for patches that go out. If you go to Support within your admin CP, you will see patches there below the version number

    I think you are mistaking "iCalendar" for being something only iPhone. It isnt. It's a standard of calendar feed, and works also on Android devices
