  1. There is no way in which to temporarily pause background tasks unfortunately. Removing them entirely may be an option if its needed, but we would usually recommend resolving the initial issue and letting them run through, as you are doing at present with your host
  2. It will indeed very much be related to that. The issue there is that there were changes in the tasks to use items that would only work in PHP 8. So switching that was the correct course of action
  3. It was very likely cache, which will have caused issues as you only partially restored, which we would usually recommend
  4. Very glad to hear you got to the bottom of the issue there, John 🙂
  5. I have created a ticket on this, so we can take a closer look and see what is happening there for you
  6. Disregard that. It wasn't your site with that was affected by high numbers of those. It is however in our queue to be looked at
  7. Glad to hear you have that resolved 🙂
  8. Its being looked into. From what can gather it looks like its related to the extremely high number of moderators and forums on there, but we are looking into it.
  9. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.
  10. have you checked the items themselves, to make sure you are not following them?
  11. This is something you would add yourself. Its not something we would do on your behalf. Please take a look through the following topic to see if this has any of the answers you are looking for If it doesnt, and there is private information you need to discuss, I can open a ticket for you. Note however, this is not something we set up for you on your behalf
  12. That certainly should not happen, no.You can create as many groups as you need. Are you using any level of caching on your server?
  13. Lets get a ticket created for you, and we can see what is causing the issues. Someone will be in contact as soon as possible
  14. It sounds like you have had to manually upload files because the auto upgrader hasnt been able to write to disk. What you have done there however is uploaded a fresh set of files and replaced folders, rather than merged. So you have replaced the uploads folder (removing all its contents in the process).
  15. I have created a ticket on this for you, so we can get it resolved
  16. The above is correct. Also, if in this instance you have just set up the cron for the first time, bear in mind you would dismiss that notice yourself, and it shouldn't then return. It wont disappear itself instantly until it has had chance to run all the tasks.
  17. If this is happening on the next upgrade, please let us know. It sounds likely this was an issue in the version you were upgrading from, and the upgrader itself would correct any database issues. Therefore its unlikely you will see this on the next upgrade.
  18. Its not something we can resolve, as its not ourselves blocking your connection. Its your host that is having problems with connecting
  19. If you do not have support for your hosting services, you would need to employ someone who can investigate this for you on your hosting, unfortunately. As randy mentioned, it could be that you are not using at least TLS 1.2, but its unlikely if you have been using it previously. Have you perhaps considered our cloud solution? This may suit you better if you wish not to deal with hosting at all.
  20. Either way, glad to see you resolved the problem.
  21. That does sound odd, and I have tagged our developers to see if they can shed any insight
  22. This being the case, I can get this sent on to our developers, however note it does say the service itself is still active. Its just not supported at present. What issue is it you are having when you try to use this?
  23. This may well simply be cache. Is it staying that way, or does it eventually show read?
  24. We do not provide old versions of the product unfortunately. However this is not needed to upgrade. You would do the following Update to PHP 8 Run the requirement checker to ensure you have everything set correctly on that PHP versionhttps://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/ Upload a fresh set of files from your client area Run the upgrader from /admin/upgrade directly
