PatrickRQ got a reaction from Ibai in Sidebar width, config?
    Hi IPS,
Can you add in upcoming updates ability to modify sidebar width per device type (under theme/settings)? Current layout design does not allow to override that particular CSS. Read why

As said, it was issue of mine I fixed, however there is no way to override sidebar width because of what I described, so would be great if you could add setting for that under theme settings.
About IPS5. I even do not think about it now.. as for me it is future of 2-3 year until I upgrade ^^

I talked about treated updates on crucial areas with more care, e.g. I had same problem.. now when I update such areas I extend tests period and do not care about monthly schedule. My customers like it as I get nearly 0 negative feedback.

    HI IPS,
I personally do not like this type topics when my Customers post it, and to be honest I have a feeling  just I want to click DELETE button, however every time I see such I try to understand them.
I noticed that for last few updates you started creating many new issues while fixing other. If you will search forums you will notice that recent updates generated many problems where some were/are related to important areas.. e.g. payments (PayPal), login session.. and many many smaller ones.
If you are unsure of quality of specific update, maybe reconsider not pushing update just because you are at the end of your monthly schedule? maybe split updates into 2 smaller ones, to twice a month? as if you will create new issues, your customers must wait a month for next update (since you stopped pushing hotfix releases for a while already).
I honestly can understand you often do your best, check things million times, you are happy all is working where at the end some updates are total fail - I know it from autopsy, but if things start to happen for 1-2-3.. updates.. that means some procedure requires correction. Discuss it internally. Thanks.

We were able to see some other logs and identified the issue. It's specifically related to a customer having their card/payment declined by PayPal then trying to execute the same transaction again.
We'll make some changes for a future release, but they still won't be able to purchase if their payment is being declined.

PatrickRQ got a reaction from Afrodude in [Suggestion] Please add group-based options to enable/disable pii data requests and account deletion
Too many configs is not good as well, however there is few types of configs IPS @Matt should always consider when designing a system. One of them is per group permission to display or use something. In past, at times of IPB 3x they were adding more of such, starting from IPB4 they somehow stopped doing that.

IPS should finally learn after all the years, that every time they add new feature they should ask themselves a question: "is per group permission required?" personally I miss it in many areas.

Thank you for your feedback. Of course, we do indeed try to ensure the quality of our releases, however there will be times where there are unexpected issues that occur, such as in the latest release. However, generally, we are seeing less issues raised, rather than more, as a general trend. This is not to say there haven't been a few issues, which have indeed been patched. What I would say is that when there are issues in a release, these are not something we ignore even after the patch or release has gone out to resolve them. We are constantly improving processes in order to try and minimise these. 🙂

    Hi IPS,
Since last 2-3 updates where you touched PayPal/MaxMind code, many customers is unable to pay using their usual PayPal accounts. In logs I find plenty of such:
    IPS\nexus\Gateway\PayPal\Exception::400
{"name":"INSTRUMENT_DECLINED","message":"The instrument presented  was either declined by the processor or bank, or it can't be used for this payment.","information_link":"https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/orders/v1/#error-INSTRUMENT_DECLINED","debug_id":"82948bc189e09"} Your payment was refused by the payment processor. Please try a different payment method, or contact us for further assistance. Backtrace
    #0 /srv/www/public_html/applications/nexus/interface/gateways/paypal.php(164): IPS\nexus\Gateway\_PayPal->api() #1 {main} And customers see that

Also, logs in the ACP show issue happened to Guest where I am sure, tested it with our client, issue happened to logged it member

How come so many PayPal accounts started being refused? Also, in past you printed better information to end-user instead what we see above. You printed actual reason for being unable to pay instead general one that raises questions to us as admins.
    Hoping for some quick resolution.

    Hi IPS,
As per title, can you add setting to define what groups of users can see specific widget? Now we can set only visibility per device type. It is useful to display different content to e.g. guests, regular members and premium users.

Another example is pagination in certain places of ACP. This time pagination in Support Tickets main page:

Coming as result of this CSS
.ipsPagination:not( .ipsPagination_mini ) a { color: inherit; position: relative; Particularly the color attribute.

PatrickRQ got a reaction from SeNioR- in Unexpected space after printing a date using {$value|raw} in Pages
    Hello IPS,
Tiny issue but always something to fix.
    1. Add custom field of date and allow to define time for the field
    2. Add a record and set the above field
    3. Print it using {$value|raw}.
In result at the end, after the date/time you will have extra space. It is visible when you use it in the middle or at the end of sentence, example:

PatrickRQ got a reaction from Princess Celestia in [Suggestion] Revolut Pay gateway for Commerce
    Hi,
Revolut becoming very popular way of getting pay. It is beating alternative for PayPal in aspect of fees while keeping even better Customer experience because it is very simple way of paying. While PayPal is only financial institution, Revolut is a bank already, so you have real bank account that allows you to take card payments, wired payments, payments on @nickname, or payment for mobile number. It is a way quicker than PayPal and way more modern for now days. IPS, @Matt, @Lindy, please consider a gateway for Revolut Pay: https://developer.revolut.com/

    Hello IPS,
In Dark Mode the quote looks a bit wrong. Happens for long time, always forgetting to report. Quote Panel color could be better in Dark Mode + text could be visible at all 🙂
