I don't like current behaviour of highlighting because it works for every posts, does not matter if this post important or not (i.e. "official staff answer" or "staff member's comment on kittens photo"). I'd prefer to move such kind of articles in separate section from News & Updates

Could you post only News&Updates in News&Updates section? Please stop bother(with useless notifications) people who subscribed to this section in order to follow news and updates, not QOTW/Obvious things about moderation, etc.

I'm sorry, but it looks like you are misunderstood my question. I'll try to explain it in more detail.   So, for example i have 1 forum with 3 names in 3 different languages.   And we have some topics in all that languages collected in this one forum.   If user will be able to specify his language in the editor(when he starts a new topic), we will get one more field for filters and sorting. Then all other users will able to show/hide only topics with a specific language (or not indicated).   Sorry for my English.

Imho, there are tons of much more serious and common problems in IPS. Very few people really need this, but the effort to implement it was probably very high.

What about login via vk.com and embedding of posts and videos from it?
It's №1 social network in Russia, Latvia, Urkaine, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, and much more other european countries.
It's also fast-growing in a global scope. From the global perspective vk.com already is much more popular than Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, e.t.c.

I also recommend you use it as an inspiration source for new features and GUI in IPS, because it's very user-friendly resource, with a lot of features which are we can only dream of while using a lot of websites, including facebook.
It also has a well documented API which is very easy to use in any projects.
