Hello, I'm trying my hand at setting up google tag manager and I wish to return as many useful values as possible.

I had success with this code to determine member group by putting this

{expression="\IPS\Member::loggedIn()->member_group_id"}

I tried looking in templates for other things to gather using this way but I was only able to find rank score. That's it.

Does anyone know any other values like rank title. Registration date and similar?

using {expression="\IPS\Member::loggedIn()->some_value"}

I'd take these variables that are returned and put them as variables in the dataLayer part of google tag manager script.

Its been years since I posted this and would like to draw attention to this once again.

We had a talk with a client. He has a huge forum but has no idea how to directly target his members with bulk mail/nexus ads.

There are many things that his forum has discussions about and these range from website creation, advertising, seo, classifieds and so on.

How is he supposed to target members that engage let's say in advertising discussions? He can't at least I have no idea how. Why it is not possible to filter members in bulk mail let's say by profile fields/interests? Can this be done what do you think?

That looks bad. I don't think it was addressed yet. Why not make it so that the entire forums list in sidebar could be expanded/collapsed? If you have a lot of sections sidebar becomes a huge mess.

Yeah perhaps its even better.

But dont you think Im right suggesting a more essential app to be put above others? :)

hi, I noticed throughout the years that you have Forums app pushed down below here on company forums and it gets annoying to access my own posts and topics - you have to scroll down to the very bottom of profile. How about pushing it a bit to the top, huh?

Well do you plan to introduce package upgrade/downgrade functionality? It would make all the sense in the world to include it. Imagine people constantly selling their items/services and once they decided to upgrade they loose all the positive reviews/comments of the add. Major bummer.

I absolutely agree with you here mate!

Imagine this:

• you add a whole bunch of website news RSS feeds to import to Pages app which are relevant to your niche and in english language.
• IPS automatically pulls the feed image and text and imports to pages database
• and then runs the text translation automatically lets say thru the translation service of www.deepL.com (much better than google translate from what I noticed) and leaves the entry for approval.
• staff member looks at the text, makes minimal corrections and hits publish

Would love a tut on how you made this mega menu too!

I got an important question. here is scenario:

for example I make 3 packages. free, silver and gold.

I create an advert and choose free package.

after its time runs out I want to renew it and I ONLY can renew it as a free package. I CANT UPGRADE the same advert to silver or gold.

This is bad because 1. I would loose all my reviews and comments of the advert. 2. I would need to waste time and post same advert again and choose another package. Why package can't be changed more easily? This seems like a fundamental flaw.

- also can expired classifieds can be reached only with a direct link and not be publically listed?

Anyhow google pagespeed / lighthouse is giving me extra hard time because of these full size images on my homepage.

I guess it would be a block design. I mean I'd use it in some pages article databases and custom pages to display a few accordions here and there. In short ability to add a FAQ via a CK editor.

Couple of years went by. Still no accordion Faq in IPS.

Does threadstarter mod use lazy load? I mean for widgets.

Google page speed score gives me hard time when the widget is full of full-size images from the source. its essential to make smaller thumbnails and also take advantage of lazyload (if it doesnt yet, I dont know how to check if it does).

Same goes for THREADSTARTER GAMES.
