A user is distributing a product similar to mine on the marketplace. My product is free, while he has 8 of them all for a fee.
The user inaccurately entered in the product description:
This is real defamation and denigration of the work of other users. and this is not the first time the user has behaved this way.
Every time I release an update of my translation, the user magically releases an update for all his translations, thus hiding mine.
In the description of my translation:
This is really bad and it would be correct for you from the IPS staff to check this user!

Could you add a downloads tab in the user profile ?

I have some non-English projects, where I have made some changes to the language strings. These changes should be permanent. There is also a language pack in Marketplace. When I upgrade the project, I have to make many steps to keep my custom translations. This is how I do it:
Download the custom language as XML (Custom package) Download Marketplace package as XML (Marketplace package) Copy Marketplace package (Merged package) Upload a new version (Custom package) on Merged package Change the name of the package back to Merged Set Merged package as Default Disable other language packages When I'd like to change some strings in my project, I have to go this way
Make changes in my Custom package Download Custom package as XML Upload a new version (Custom package) on Merged package Change the name of the package back to Merged When there is an upgrade for Marketplace package:
Upgrade Marketplace package Download Marketplace package as XML (Marketplace package) Upload a new version (Marketplace package) on Merged package Upload a new version (Custom package) on Merged package Change the name of the package back to Merged This is quite time-consuming. I wish parent/child construction (like themes), where my custom changes just overload the Marketplace package. Additionally, a filter where I can see what translations differ from parent version. This would help to prevent all these steps above, keep my custom translations and still use Marketplace updates without loosing my custom changes.

It would be cool if the user could choose Telegram for two-factor identification, instead of Google and other paid services.

I honestly don't like to take users out of the community, already with the arrival of Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Telegram, the life of the forums is increasingly difficult.
However, the implementation of Telegram with IPS could be useful to notify users in the case of new messages, using it as a sort of push notification, perhaps via an IPS bot.

You can control this via module permissions

Is there a CLI script which can install or upgrade IPBoard from the server instead of calling it from the browser url ? We usually have a release process dealing with live/production server. If we cut a trunk for ipboard and use it to release on the production server what are the things to consider?

I am surprised there has not been more momentum behind this request. 
Individually checking out for every download item surely reduces the chances of bulk buying. 
An 'add to cart' button would be incredibly useful.

Could you allow developers to put TAGs because it's not very easy to find a specific product for blogs or forums? Or maybe add a multiple choice so that the developer can say that his product is for blogs IP-Downloads,... , that it offers an admin interface...
 

You're right, I've seen now and it allows, unfortunately though it doesn't indicate if this is a video or an image, at this point it would be cute/better to have the “play” icon to indicate a media content.
Yes, I know, but I never understood why a user should care about the name of the image. I think that goes to break the beauty of the design. Also if one uploads 50 images together, changing name to every single image becomes a huge job, for something that in my opinion shouldn't appear there, at least. In my opinion that be inserted just above “Taken with”, in the lightbox.  Or they include the function for “rename all to:” a bit like when setting copyright in on mass.
It's a bit like in the attachments of images in posts, rightly the name of the attachment (if image) is not shown because it's not of interest.
Moreover I am not a developer of the IPS scene, so I do not know if it is true, and I ask you. Is it true that plugins can't include elements in lightboxes?
I hope you improve this application that really has so much potential.
 

I honestly believe that IP.Board is one of the most complete platforms, but unfortunately its additional content (Downloads aside) needs more attention.
In Gallery you can also upload videos as well as images, but in every button there is “Insert image”, wouldn't it be better to put “insert media”? (obviously where video content is allowed to load) Whenever a person uploads a video, the video doesn't have any thumbnails, I have no idea if with php you can extrapolate a frame from the video, but I sincerely believe it would take too much. Why not allow a custom thumb to be loaded? Maybe with FFmpeg? YouTube style, 3/5 thumbnails where the user chooses the best one.
When a blank album is created, a blank thumb is created, in the list, wouldn't it be better a written with: “There are no images in this album yet”?
File name in the gallery, why? in albums me and my users upload lots of screnshots, it's hard to edit every single name... But why make it appear in “ipsPhotoPanel”?
An edit I asked for a few times, and I tried to make it custom, spoiler images. Now every community has the possibility to hide images, because they have spoiler or NFSW content, such as the method used by Reddit or Steam. And finally, a secondary thing but definitely nice and appreciable in a gallery, a personalized video player, and not the classic HTML5. A video player that allows you to put the logo of the site and other customizations, example: VideoJS, JWPlayer or Plyr.

I have a suggestion I think IPS is in need of. While adding a product, you're given the flexibility of choosing any subscription term (renewal) you'd like - well, all except one. Lifetime purchases should be added a feature to the product feature instead of limiting it to only subscription plans. It's a huge flaw in my opinion. @bfarber suggested to make a new product that copies the main product, with the exception that it is appended with '(Lifetime)' - this won't work for me for many reasons, and it also seems like a band-aid fix; it'll look very out of place and hacky. I'd like to do this properly by having the lifetime option added natively into the product system instead.

All my members have migrated to Telegram since the change of WhatsApp policy. So it would be interesting to have two-factor authentication by Telegram SMS code or QRCode.

Solved! I disabled the English language pack to use the Italian one, but it wasn't fully working.
I reactivated the English pack and installed the Italian pack from the marketplace (the free one) and everything is working now 😉

Is there any news? My clients always contact me to tell me that the button to change author has disappeared...

Another useful thing for us would be the ability, as file owners, to download (the tar or XML) from our resources. 

I think we need to include this functionality as well.

I don't think that number of views is a particularly useful metric and doesn't reflect how beneficial the topic may be.

Also, which guest page caching, the topic view isn't entirely accurate and will only accurately count member (logged in) views.
