Square Wheels got a reaction from The Old Man in core_output_cache
Thank you. It's currently set to 30 seconds.
Yesterday that table was over 4GB, as of right now, it's at 177MB. So far this month I've user about 45GB of bandwidth. It's a small site. https://www.pathlabtalk.com/forum/
Is it normal for that table to vary so wildly?
Thank you again

Yes, it's impossible to tell you how big it "should" be. There are several factors:
How long you cache guest pages for (you already said 30 seconds). How big your site is - is there a lot to cache? How much guest traffic you get - if you don't allow guests to access your site, that page will stay small by the nature of your traffic patterns. If you don't get much activity in general and aren't using cron, the task that clears the table may not be running enough. You get the idea. Note that you can also store guest cached pages in Redis or in a remote MySQL database, or turn the feature off entirely. That said, it can improve performance quite dramatically for sites with any significant amount of guest traffic, especially during "surges" in traffic.

The size will of course vary with guest traffic. I guess you'll see an increase when a crawler is accessing your site.
I've never monitored the size of that table, so can't tell you if what you're seeing is normal.

yes i have it in testing with a few sites, to make sure it is working properly as it was broken in subtle and unsubtle ways, like it was causing like little words to disappear too and images in some cases, things are so far so good, no one has reported any thing major.
I am unfamiliar with this error, googling it says its a file/folder permission error on the OS and i can't reproduce it on my dev and a few of my live servers. are there anything like in the system log in IPS or your error log for the server, cause this error doesn't really tell me anything. the comments table is a pretty standard table setup from IPS documentation.

I want to apologize for my lack of interest in this. it wasn't intentional, i started work on fixing it, got caught up in work and other projects and just kept back burner'ing the fix, to the point i honestly just forgot about it. I'll honestly start working on it again tonight, and hopefully will have these issues fixed ASAP. I'll see about getting any one who has been affected by keywords renewal period extended for the last 3 months, if i can't, i can offer credit on my site for purchases or renewals on my site.
again, i am sorry that its been so long and a show of no interest from me.

it was a leftover debug call that my clean up script didn't catch (it usually converts the \IPS\Log::debug()). i've uploaded a new version that has fixed this.

Just an update that's I've updated my dev board and I'm working on this mod (in my spare free time >.<). I'm currently looking into the activity stream issue and I also need to recode a portion of it to adhere to the new marketplace rules about no colums in the default tables.
As far as I can remember I fixed that bug quite a while ago, but for the fix to work you first need to re-install the last version available and then uninstall it. If that still doesn't work let me know.

You need the “error_log” file in the root of your domain/forum. You need to access it via FTP or via cPanel's "File Manager". It's a text file but has no file type as such, you can open it with a plain text editor. This error_log shows PHP errors, but not necessarily every single one.
The "Errors" area in cPanel is different, it shows you errors relating to URLs, eg: bad urls, often due to bots or wannabe hackers trying to find a non-existent URL, hence "File not found".
If you have shell access (which I don't), you may be able to view other error logs in apache?

Another suggestion, this came from a member. How about displaying state / province flags?

I added this to my custom.css as I only display ads that I control the size of, it works for me.
#ipsLayout_sidebar {
min-width: 275px;
max-width: 275px;
}

I turned it on, set myself as away, it showed the away icon, and I was able to click it and see my message.
Appears to be working.
Thanks

I agree with @opentype.
Btw, new version will have a new ACP module with a list of members (filters) who confirmed or not the email. You will be able to set a specific member as unconfirmed.
