Wolf got a reaction from Invision Board France in 2FA: WebAuthN/U2F Support
With WebAuthN now being an established standard, and with Apple finally including support for it in iOS13, it is now supported by all major browser vendors. It is also more secure than existing 2FA measures within the IPS Suite. I propose that IPS introduce official support for WebAuthN and U2F keys as a form of two factor authentication

U2F is more secure, and is supported by the security paranoid (such as myself)... I use it on my Google account too.

It would be nice to see official support for Universal Second Factor (HW Security keys) as a 2FA option.

@SoftwareFactory
There is a visual breadcrumb bug. Please fix the bread crumbs so that "Invites" and the magic invite name are separated.
eg.
There should be another ">" after invites.

Wolf got a reaction from Lycanth in Members Shop ( Support Topic )
This functionality is very common, and is also desired by my community. It is provided for in Xenforo's shop add-on, as well as many prior shop add-ons over IPS lifetime. Basically, graphical items for the post bit and profile. They can be purchased and traded. Users absolutely love them. The ability to re-arrange the display of these items, and to pick between, say, the top 10 of them to display in post-bit is lovely.
I have also requested, multiple times, as have many other users, the ability to buy access to additional usergroups. We like to maintain one primary group (member or staff level) and do other privs as additionals.
Finally, @TheJackal84, members shop is completely broken on my board and results in a Error: Call to a member function url() on array (0) error. I provided more information in PM to you yesterday.

Hi,
I'll look into this, but won't make any promises right now.
Can already be done by editing the permissions for each marker group.

Uninstalled RC2 and then installed RC3. Will try again to see if it wasn't the result of some weird caching.
Edit: @Fosters sent me a version in PM which resolved my issues!

New Member Shop user, need little support/guidance to start:
How can admin add/remove any members points? How can I show the points on the left side of the profile, then only on the profile page? How can I automatically deduct 100 points from each member every month? I have rules installed Bug report
While using referral points, the system is awarding referral points to every user by referring himself Points don't show well on profile page if you are using apps or plugin that fills the profile header I have to disable two plugins - members effectiveness and member country so that point display Feature request
Love to have a bulk (global) point assigning/editing feature for all forums and albums in gallery Need an email notification trigger for every donation made? Need a feature to disable all members with zero balance to post/participate Transform this app from just a fancy point system to incentivize the participating members and penalizing the hit and run members -
Wolf got a reaction from Sonya* in Mail Bouncer - Automated Bounce Management
Are there any plans to allow the setting and checking of an on-server bounce address? This was a feature that Xenforo had that I miss. I don't wish to use an external service, but I would at least like to flag and send bad emails to the validation queue. If you are able to implement this, I will purchase.

Wolf reacted to Vikestart in Reactions +2 reputation?
It'd be nice if we could input our own value as for how we'd like a reaction to affect reputation, instead of being restricted to -1, 0 and +1.
I'd like "Thanks" to give +2 reputation.

Wolf reacted to Cyboman in Dangerous group promotion option in IP.Commerce
I just detected, that the "group promotion options" in any IP.Commerce product offers group promotions to the "Administrator" or "Moderator" group.
This shouldn't be.
For my IP.Commerce shop, I appoint third party shop managers (with ACP access) to add new products to the shop. That's the only permission they get via the ACP.
But it's a very high security risk, as they are able to configure any new product (f.e. promote to admin group, for 1 USD), and then, after buying it for 1 USD, they will be promoted to the "administrators" group with full access to the community. I found no way how to prevent or restrict this.
Admin groups should be excluded from the group promotion settings in Commerce products. In any way.
The only product I can think of where this option is useful, is if you want to sell your community...

Wolf got a reaction from Brad Eden in Fake a few members on new boards
I'm going to be very blunt here. This method is extremely controversial, and perhaps (no offense) one of the worst "old tricks" to make your board appear populated. Members aren't dumb, they'll either catch on that the fake accounts have suddenly stopped posting, or will see through the accounts and notice that it's all one person. The falsely generated discussions don't appear nearly as fluid as true discussions. Deceiving your members or potential members is no way to build a community. It will earn you a bad reputation, and make you seem like you simply want the power of being the administrator of a large forum. Do you know what's just as easy, and a much better way of getting posts and members to your board? Starting a community about a topic you and your friends are passionate about, and having them join in on the fun! I'm absolutely appalled at the recommendations to "Create Controversy"! Deceiving your members is no way to build a community.
