Jelly Belly™ reacted to WebCMS in Pasted text background color using themes
Hello Team,
When rich text is pasted into the editor, the text has style attributes like so (taken this example from this IC site and pasted into editor using color themes):
<p style="background-color:#ffffff; color:#2f3d4b; font-size:14px; text-align:start"> The pasted rich text displays fine on a white theme due to matching colors. However, on a dark theme, the pasted text displays in black on a white background (opaque).
To make this transparent and display pasted content as expected on any color theme using current theme's colors, we just have to get rid of the background, background-color and color attributes from the HTML.
Please eliminate the background, background-color and color attributes from the HTML of the pasted rich text which would resolve the issue and users will be able to paste rich text as-is on any color theme which will be a HUGE breakthrough! Eliminating these color attributes will retain all other formatting and displays text in current theme colors. Forcing to paste as plain text results in a bad UX as the users would be required to reformat the text all over if the formatting like headers, tabular data, bullet lists, font-sizes, bolds, italics, etc. are important.
Even if only the attribute "keys" are removed (background-color: , background: and color:), it results in markup like below and it works fine too.
<p style="#ffffff; #2f3d4b; font-size:14px; text-align:start">
Please confirm if this is added to your roadmap..

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Max in My site is slow or down, again. And so is this site, again.
I have users hammering me over the same thing. They say the temporarily unavailable message happens regularly for them.

Same story, again. This is getting beyond frustrating.

Thanks to Support for dealing with this issue. As a bit of a digital dunce I can’t help but wonder exactly what happened? Anyhow, everything seems to be back to normal on my Board. I’m sure the Support team understands Board owners/admins and moderators frustration when they go down. These Discussion Forums/Suites etc are very important to the owners and as much if not more so to the Members. Mine was launched in 2002. And I still have charter Members who have been active for 22 years. Many freak out when they can’t get on Board.

Jelly Belly™ reacted to marklcfc in Spam post / possible hack?
Last week a new member signed up and posted a spam link to a dating site, then today a member with 15k+ posts made the exact same post. Something not right with this

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Max in Site was offline yesterday
We run a site that is NFL related and I have so many people telling me they couldn't access it yesterday during the NFL draft. This is our biggest day(s) of the year. I noticed the forums were offline this morning. I saw another thread and cleared my cache. But I had people reaching out saying they couldn't get in.
Two questions:
1. Is whatever issue it was, fixed?
2. Can everyone get on now without clearing cache?
Our posts counts were much lower than expected yesterday, this is very disappointing. We didn't have problems like this when we were self hosted.

I am writing from mobile. Your community invisioncommunity.com is not accessable from my desktop chrome right now. The same error, redirecting to admin/install.
No issues with incognito mode.

Jelly Belly™ got a reaction from Sonya* in link filter not being honoured
That's what I thought, but it doesn't work
already done 👍
because blocking them doesn't really block them, it allows the post and the link as text and it doesn't notify the moderators

Is someone from Support going to chime in here with what’s going on?
I understand it’s the weekend but my Board and apparently others are down with a blank screen and a redirected URL to some Admin/Install URL.

Jelly Belly™ reacted to My Sharona in My site (and this site) are slow, about 10 seconds to see a topic?
Just had a look and while not hundreds of pages, there are redis, template, javascript, and datastore errors. I also experienced other issues with this as well, which can be found here.

I see the same, yes.
What does that mean when my site is down but there's no incident listed at https://status.invisioncommunity.com/ ?

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Grant_B in My site (and this site) are slow, about 10 seconds to see a topic?
We have 100's of pages of errors in our system log from around 4:45pm yesterday to around 6:33pm (UK time) which seems to coincide with this issue - do other see the same?
The errors relate to redis, mysql and template errors so I just wanted to check these all relate to the cloud issues.

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Adriano Faria in IPS5 and new embedded videos
I don't remember reading anything about it. Today we need to use hooks to allow new videos to be embedded on the site. How IPS5 will handle that?

I have not seen this happen on your community in over 10 minutes now. I will keep my eye on it but it looks like it has been resolved.

Jelly Belly™ got a reaction from teraßyte in Members profile in acp
When looking at a members profile in acp and selecting the gallery tab it's handy to be able to see their gallery stats but it would also be helpful to see a list of all of their galleries on the same page too, it would make administering galleries and their contents so much easier
Any chance this could be considered in the future ?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Abo Doha in It's time to integrate a payment gateway that supports crypto
Digital currencies began in the beginning of 2009, and over time they gained wide popularity
Now, 15 years after its establishment, it has become almost the first in online transactions
Most large companies have started using it as a means of payment
So isn't it time for the IC community to integrate it as a payment gateway with PayPal and Stripe?
I would like to suggest integrating the NOWPayments payment gateway, as it is currently the best payment gateway for accepting digital currencies.

Jelly Belly™ reacted to Matt in Buying new self hosted licence - how to choose few applications?
We did an analysis of all our customers to work out the average renewal cost and buying habits. We made sure that the renewal price point was as close to the average as possible (we actually went under).
We discussed the pricing at length and shared it with a handful of customers in a focus group to get thoughts and feedback, and tweaked accordingly.
We have been as fair as we possibly can throughout this process. Undoubtably some may need to pay a bit more to unlock all that new functionality, but most will pay a bit less. We've found a pricing model that ensures the self-hosting version is viable for years to come.
Invision Community v5 is the start of the next evolution for our community platform bringing in many features to help publish content, monetise the community and more. Just selling a forum app is a market in a serious decline.
But you do not have to do anything. You can stick with your v4 license for as long as you wish. This is not a choice you need to make now, or even this year. Wait until v5 is out and then decide what is right for you. If it's not right for you, then be assured that v4 will remain supported for years to come.
