Group Collaboration

I've done an import from the abandoned original Social groups app. I have all the groups and it suggests content (see screenshot) but there seems no way to access it ? I assume I've missed something simple, but am at a loss to see where ?

Now in the case shown If I click on the 'forum' jokes not too bad there is nothing produced. (I've admin rights) even if it's a group I belong too fully nothing appears ?

Is there anyway to move posts or thread into or out of a collab ?

The moderator action as is does not seem to allow this to happen ?

You can move forums into and out of a collab using the dropdown menu on the forums management. You can only move topics between foroms that are in the same context (either in the same collab or outside of a collab).

Maybe a feature idea to allow moderators to move content into a collab from the main forum. We see off topic content in the main body of the forum that would be best in a collab but there is no way to get the content there.

oh  I see you dont have these anymore??  what happened?

We lost activity quite significantly because at the time it was just missing integration with the site fully particuarly in our mobile BYO tapatalk app which meant that unless using the full site people were not seeing the content.

Its a real shame because personally I love the app and think it as loads of plus points but every community is different and ours struggled despite giving it 12 months to try to convert people.

so i need to find a site where the collabs work and are also fully integrated into the rest of the site somehow.

Times moved on with this app so Im hoping that all the little bugs etc have been ironed out by now.   I do have a plan to use the app now whereas early days even thought I though it a great idea I couldnt think how my site might benefit from different groups.

Good luck Karen and report back here as I would be interested to see what you have done with it. Happy to help if you need it also with anything.

Tapatalk support is pretty essential tbh. We strongly need that to make use of this app.

Hello @Kevin Carwile

Is there a way for us to present the collabs as part of the main forum categories / discussions?

As nice as it is to organize the collabs in their own homes, they feel somewhat secluded from the rest of our forums sitting in a "Collaborations" Category. I'd like to have an option to have their forums show as their own category on the main forums page or a choice of setting up categories / discussions that lead to the collab itself.

I'm not saying the collabs have to be shown in a special container or anything, just that I'd like to either make it toggleable or build out categories with their icons and discussions leading to the collab to show on the main forum page. If this needs to be paid for I can look into commission if needed. Thanks!

You can just add a new redirect forum with the link to a collab category or an individual collab and it will be displayed like a regular forum with the latest post or collab.

I do that currently, however I have a few issues.

1) Redirects do not allow for custom icons to be placed on the forum main page

2) Redirects link to the collab, but we wanted to show engagement by having the collabs forum container show on the main page. Otherwise they have to click on the redirect to see all the forums / subforums.

Is there something I'm missing or would that be a feature needing to be implemented?
