We've just tried out the new "Live Topics" feature that was added last year, but we didn't manage to get the live video stream working. What did we do? I have set up a new "test live topic" and entered a random currently running live stream from YT, e.g. that one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV8_nx_QpQM Also tried the URL vom YT's embed code: https://www.youtube.com/embed/nV8_nx_QpQM?si=QzsBwgEESYpC4Gcc The result for all browsers (except one, more below) is an empty black rectangle. You folks have been soooo helpful I'll ask for even more help. Our main page, shown below, is messy. This was a conversion from Nabble and the description info makes the page longer than it needs to be. We need to keep the descriptions, but is there a way to prevent them from showing on the main page? Just show when you click on them? I've tried several things but haven't found the right switch yet. We just got our community up and running and loving it. However, I cannot seem to get the group promotions to work. In this example, our goal is to promote members of certain secondary groups to other secondary groups. For instance, we want to add anyone in the following groups to a specific secondary group: I want to be added to the secondary group "Old World." I have tested this with a member, and they have logged in, but it doesn't work. What am I missing here? Do I have to do something else to trigger the promotion? The promotion is on, and this seems simple enough, but I can't get it to work.

I'm a newbie at this since my 2300+ member Nabble forum was just converted yesterday. But I'm surprised that each member has to choose whether or not to follow content they've created or replied to. It would seem that it would be automatic that a member would follow his/her content, but it looks like "Automatically follow content" is set to off. Is there a way to set it to on and then let them turn it off if they want?

Hey all, I did some searches and came up empty, so I apologize if I missed something there (I probably did). What does it mean when a banned user is showing up in the online users list? I checked to verify they are banned, and they are (it wasn't recent). My guess is they are just seeing a message saying they are banned and can't do much else. I thought it was an admin online thing at first, but I checked logged out and can see them online, too. I'd prefer they be excluded from the online users list, but I guess I'd need some customization for that, and it's probably not worth it. 🙂 Thanks for your time! Patrick

My users must purchase a subscription plan to access my forum. I want to create coupon codes to allow some users a discount. I see I can create coupons with no restrictions that can then be used on Subscriptions. This method only gives a discount on the first payment—is there a way to have the coupon code apply to every recurring payments?

I apologize but I apparently did a setting change somewhere that now requires the user has to log in to see the site. Any guest sees only a login page. Could someone help me find the setting to change it back? I validated the page is available to everyone including guests, menu is available to guests but you can't see any of it unless you log into the site.

Suddenly, the Articles on our site are disabled without any notice. In Client Area, our plan shows as active until Oct 31. However, the last purchase was made on November 28, 2023 for a year and it should be active until Nov 27, 2024. In the ACP, it says - This feature isn't available This feature isn't currently available on your current plan. Ideally, there should be some 2 weeks of advanced notice instead of turning off features like this abruptly. Please advise...

Nowadays, photos from smartphones often weigh several Megabytes. My iPhone 11 pro gives standard 3,6 Mo pics and 4032x3034 pixels In Invision, we can set the maximum weight of each photo, the space allocated to each, it's very good We can also set the default display dimension in forums. Hi all, I already have an subscription running, but how do I sell next to that or free from that subscription, for example a zipfile with a 3D model on my site? I know physical sales are going the way of the dodo, but ^that's pure digital, 1's and 0's. I don't want to redirect to yet another site, pay extra commission etc. etc. just offer it for sale through Invision, is that even possible? I once had this complex setup, where people donating got added to another group that got access to the zipfile, but that appeared to be anything but practical if I want to sell more digital goods. In a few days our Nabble forum is to be converted to Invision. And while we go through the conversion and sort some things out we'd like to be able to turn posting off. I know we could do that via editing group permissions, but that seems like a lot of work that will take time and be a source of problems if we don't get it put back like it should be. So is there an easy way to turn posting off? One button to make it visible but not usable? I'm sure I'm missing the obvious somewhere.

I'm looking to add some new rules to my robots.txt, and currently have it set so that Invision Community manages optimized rules for me via the setting: AdminCP > Search Engine Optimisation > Crawl Management > Invision Community optimized I'm not interested in losing any of the optimized rules provided by this setting.
