   There are a few small things I'd like to request/suggest for the next major release of IPB. First off, showing which profile a person is viewing in the Online List, exactly how "Viewing Topic:"/"Viewing Forum:" works. Next up, a yes/no permission for each group under "Moderation Permissions" for viewing anonymous members. Having only ROOT admins viewing them has become a pain on our forum to the point that we've considered turning off the entire invisible system. Next, more control over the "Moderator Tools" in the My Controls page. One of our non-global moderator groups needs to have access to the IP Tools there, and currently they have to contact a global mod or a…

   I'd like to see a total overhaul of the "User-Group Permissions" in version 3.0, so that forum administrators can more easily control which "features" are available to each different user-group. Access to individual forums can be restricted by assigning relevant permission sets. However, forum administrators don't currently have enough control over who can or can't use the various features (such as PMs, custom avatars, signatures, email and the skin selector, etc.) that are available in IP.Board.    Ok I ordered Invision Community Hosting, I used PayPal as my source of funding because its easier then typing in my credit card over and over. It created to payments and 2 subscriptions. I got billed 60$ for a 10$ monthly payment and a 20$ startup fee. The client center also says I have 1 un-payed invoice of 30$, so now I have 2 payments, and no product. I also put in a Trouble Ticket, which has been sitting there for 2 hours un-touched. I hope this isnt what is to come with IP Support, or I'm going to be a very very shortlived customer.

   Hi, I recently purchased a copy of IPB, and paid for it with Paypal. When I clicked "Return to Merchant" I just got error pages about things that couldn't be found. On my invoice history it said it's unpaid :@. So, I go to register and things get even worse. It says my email address is already used, so I figure I should reset my password but this says I am not a member. I had to get my friend to register so I could use his account.    I've noticed when you create a thread, another member can quote your post without having to write a reply. And I cannot find any settings in the admin cp were you can for example require so many characters have to be typed in a reply. Is there an option to make replies to posts that are quoted, have to have a reply (so many characters entered). So they cannot just quote the previous post, and post it without entering any text in the reply themselves

    Hi, Why is the admin part not allowed to be translated to other language? And also there are two items 'Inbox' and 'Sent items' - they're not included in the language files so after translation these two remain english. Why is that?

    RSS feed should optionally output posts, instead of only topics

    Currently, the IPB RSS exporter only lists topics. I have been using the RSS Post Exporter modification and really like it -- it allows the RSS export to output individual posts. This allows forum users to more closely monitor discussions within topics. I have just updated this modification to IPB 2.2.0. Thanks for listening.

    Captcha problems

    Greetings The Captcha system needs some enhancements to work better. I hope the developers take the following in consideration: When GD library images are selected, the system accepts capital letters only. It would be more convenient to accept both capital and small letters, like other software do. Or at least make it an option for admin to select from ACP.If we disable the images and use normal fonts, in many cases the images do not appear. Instead, only 2 lines of the ALT 'Code Bit Code Bit Code Bit' show. I don't know why this happens, but I've seen that in several sites that use IPB software.Many thanks.

    Suggestion - Mass prune attachments

    Is it me or is there no easy way to mass prune old attachments? I would like to mass prune old attachments in a similar manner to mass pruning inactive members. Currently I use the search criteria and list attachments over 12 months old and then manually have to click on the check box to delete them. Takes ages when there's up 1000 attachments to delete.     Bypass Calendar Moderation?

    I've noticed that whenever we create a new event in the Calendar, the event will not be approved immedaitely. Instead it was being queued up just like any other topics. I wish IPB had a setting in User Groups which is "Bypass Calendar Moderation Queue", so that whenever we post an event in the calendar, we won't have to see the event and manually approve it(make it visible)

    Caching improvement suggestion

    Hey guys. I've recently noticed the style caching feature. It caches stylesheet to separate file, reducing page size. It's nice. But browser caches are buggy sometimes, and it's a pain, when you change something, and users can't see it immediately. Espescially when you change css and template together. CSS is cached in style_images/css_{skinid}.css Why not cache it into style_images/css_{skinid}-{a_couple_of_random_chars}.css and store a new adress in a template bit or something? The same goes with avatars. Filenames are stored in database, why not add random chars to them, so the changes will be visible immediately? thanks

    Title explains it, are any mods on this board able to support me? I cant login to my account on the client side to download the forum software. I tried to change my email address, it logged me out and then complained I was trying to login with an incorrect password, i have sent 2 emails to support and sales within over a week and no reply. I have paid for this software for over a year, I seem to just be getting no support what so ever.

    Get rid of case-sensitivity with CAPTCHA

    Right now, letters in CAPTCHA images all have to be typed in the correct case or they won't be recognized. Since there are never any lowercase characters anyway (as far as I know), it doesn't help against bots and just makes it harder for humans to enter the correct code, so why not remove the requirement?
