   Customer status on account?

   I purchased an IP.Board license on Saturday, I tried sending a support ticket on how to get customer status for my forum account, but the tickets aren't showing in my client area, are they supposed to? Sorry, I'm a bit of a n00b at this... ^^;;;

   It would be great if the Next Newest and Next Oldest buttons at the bottom of each thread would take you to the first unread post instead of to the beginning of the thread.

   Well in my forum I have this spoiler MOD This acts like a quote tag except the content within won't be shown until you click "Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide..." and the content expand. Sample (I changed the above message to "Hidden..." It is convenient and can be used to hide everything: big pictures, big signatures and etc. So it has a lot of uses more tan just hide text that you want to have them shown instantly. What happened with spoiler tag included in 2.2? Just hightlight text with black color. Not collapse so it has no use to shorten long content. And, sorry, it looks ugly. I can use this instead.    I've been wondering when we may see this built in to IPB as a standard or option. Since this isn't in IPB as of yet, can anyone recommend a SEO/FURL mod to apply to IPB? It'd be nice if it's free because I prefer to donate to those who take the time to write their mods, rather than those who sell them at outrageous prices for profit.

   You can search for just about everything listed in users profile in the members search area. Some of these search boxes are probably never used. Messengers being a prime example. The one thing missing is the ability to search members interests. In 2.1.7 I had to hire a modder to program this for me. People should have the ability to put a keyword in search for members interest. In the newest upgrade this has been left out again. (Search in members interest). Could you add this to 3.0?     Here would be a feature that would clean the boards up tremendously. If a user does not have permission to start a new topic (or add a reply) in a forum. Don't have the buttons appear to do this. This would cut down on end users getting error message when clicking these buttons. Bottom line is if someone is allowed to post or add a reply, the buttons would show. If they don't have permission, buttons won't show. Simple and squeaky clean. :) The other thing is that if a forum is read only, take the buttons out from this forum also, clean and no confusion. The question is? How possible is it to add this feature? :blink:

    Custom Fields in Profile and Shortname length

    Profile Fields View - Just like Topic View have an option for Profile Fields view so that we are not having to copy and paste links or do a million <if> statements in our skin to get it to appear as we would want it to appear in the profile (links, images and normal text are some examples) this also means that if there is a View setup that it doesn't take into account the wordwrap number and break the link (I had to remove this to use if statements to get mine to work). Choose Shortname length - I'd like to disable shortnames altogether on my site but a way to change the length or disable it would be nice because I hate seeing "longusernametwe..." instead of "longu…

    Hi, I just upgraded to 2.3.5 and have seen the About Me section. It's great how you can edit your own signature there, but if you're a moderator/super mod/admin/etc. who can edit signatures, it'd be nice to be able to edit them from there. Kind regards, Tarun http://lunarsoft.net

    As per Keith's reminder, I just wanted to post this in a separate topic so it stands a better chance of being read. :D ------------------------------------------------------------- I know I've raved on about this somewhere before: LANGUAGE FILE MODS. I would really love an interface where we could manage our customized language updates and keep them INTACT between updates!! :( I really don't look forward to updating Forums and then having to go back and edit the English language mod and correct all the shortcomings in the language.     It would be great if there is this new feature in version 3.0 . Under tools and settings > option something like this Enter keywords for your forum , so that spiders can index the forus better. It would also get invision many more happy users :)

    I'd like to make Poll Questions have bigger/bolder text, not just the choices for answers, especially since I would like to explain something in the question and people may not scroll down to the actual post until after they have voted in the topic which defeats the purpose to me. Either a way to put Polls below the post until the member votes or a way to use BBCode in the Question would be a great change. ;)

    I run a sports forum and we were going to code a skin that we got and for every skin when we go onto the site it says this Fatal error: Call to undefined method skin_boards_23::online_today() in /home/themogul/public_html/sports/sources/lib/func_boardstats.php on line 264 When ever we make a new skin set on the board it says the same thing. Any idea on how to fix it or what it could be? We use IPB 2.3.4

    Ok, maybe I've overlooked it (though I've read Admin Doc cover to cover), but HOW do you ban someone without having to open up half a dozen screens to accomplish it?!?!?! For god's sake, IPB 1.3.1 had that feature, and it's as old as dirt! It was a button in the ACP, that lets you ban by IP, Name, or email. IPS, you have a wonderful product, but HOW could you have left off this feature? *sigh* A "Ban Button" is needed badly. OR, if some can point out a mod for 2.3.4 that does the SAME thing, that'd be fine too. Either way.... HELP!

    Startin in 2.3.4, I think.. This code has been added to /sources/action_public/forums.php $topic['topic_icon'] = $topic['pinned'] ? '<{B_PIN}>' : $topic['topic_icon']; I've gotten several tickets about this.. It replaces the post icon with a "Pinned" post icon.. Overriding anything that was set by the user.. Seems to annoy some folks and.. Honestly.. It's rather redundant.. 20 pixels to the right it prefixes the post with "Pinned"... I can understand it putting it there if there is no post icon assigned.. But if there is.. Keep what they set. Don't really classify this as a bug... Just one of those things.
