I purchased an IP.Board license on Saturday, I tried sending a support ticket on how to get customer status for my forum account, but the tickets aren't showing in my client area, are they supposed to?

Yeah. Make sure you're submitting the ticket properly - it loads another page of Knowledge Base articles, you need to scroll to the bottom of there and submit it again. :)
I do believe that the the week-ends are the days off for the staff so today you will get for sure an answer. Only make sure that the ticket went through
