Couple thinks I noticed about Facebook connect: 1) Getting this message on FB popup: Invision Power Services Community requires your email address. This should really be optional to a user. I usually alwasy say "Don't allow" to this question. But it appears that if I don't allow the access to my email address, then the whole Facebook connect fails. This is not right, especially during the initial signin to site. basically many people will click on "Dont' allow" and they will just not join the site then. No error messages, just failed signup process. Same thing when I try to connect my existing account with Facebook account - if I refuse to share the email address,…

I know this has been done for IP.Chat already and was implemented to differentiate between the old legacy chat interfaces and IPS's chat interface however it would be logical to rename the other applications on the basis that IP.Content is already using the IP.name convention. Rename all IPS applications to conform with naming convention of IP.Content and soon to be IP.Chat. Download Manager > IP.Downloads Gallery > IP.Gallery Blog > IP.Blog They are described as such in "Purchase Additional Applications" area of the same screen.

Not sure how much of a strain this would be on the IPS servers but here it is. If the license holder wants it, it would be nice to have a copy of the chat log emailed to them. Or perhaps have the chat log archived (zip format) and a link to the log emailed, where the file would remain available until the next archive (if the logs are cleared out monthly). I know that I can go into the Client Area and view the chat logs, but the problem is when the logs get purged, they're gone. So the idea is to be able to download an old log (or logs), at least for up to a couple of months. A site owner wanting to keep copies of the chats could download a copy each month for their…

How come there is no option to resize an uploaded image on a post? It comes in handy since people are uploading huge image files... OK, I think that having a feature that resizes the ORIGINAL image would be a very good idea. It would save space, bandwidth on the server. Also, when users upload large images and using lightbox to display it is very awkward to see the image...

IP.Board>System>Applications & Modules Not sure whether to report this as a bug or whether it is deliberate. Normally when you don't have an IPS application installed it obviously gives you the option to purchase them at the top of the page. Now when you install one of the apps it disappears from the purchase additional applications section. The issues comes when you disable one of the apps,(not removing, just turning it off) the app then reappears in the purchase section. Surely if you have it installed irrespective of whether you have it on or off it shouldn't show you the purchase options.

Blogs and Gallery should have displayed own version in footer, not board's version. When I find bug I don't know what version do you use here and then some reports can be confusing. Damn it.

Very simple really, I just want to be able to make it so that several strings can make the same emoticon appear. Right now, I can only set one string. E.g. :) :) I want to be able to set several different things for that smiley without having to upload it a dozen times. E.g. :-) :) :-) :)

When in the Look & Feel panel of the ACP, if you try to navigate away without having saved, a warning appears as such: Regardless of what option is selected, the page navigates away. This is extremely frustrating for having worked on something for a long time, only to accidentally mouse away. I use Safari 4.0.5 for Snow Leopard. Edit: Oh, darn. I just found the section for bugs. Move, please. :)

Okay, I'm a mother of two, admittedly, and I have the brain the size of a pea *lets be honest I'm over exaggerating here, it's more like an atom* and sometimes I don't always remember when I've reported a post and I know I'm already a nuisance, ask Michael, Matt, Brandon, AndyF, and just about anyone that helps me out when I ask for it so I was curious if this was possible or if it was just pointless? OK, this idea just crossed my mind, and it is hard to explain, so I will let images talk... So, basically an option to add additional "tabs" to the navigation in the ACP, which you can use to call up a URL which is then displayed in a frame. I find that useful for server monitoring, I like to have stuff in one place. But that might be just me. I dunno how hard it would be to implement, I dunno if it would cause any security problems or if anyone else likes the idea at all. Just happened to come up with it, feel free to comment.

I manually approve memberships on my forum. I would like to see an option when an application is denied, that a message can be sent to the applicant with a reason for denial that I can either manually input or choose from a drop-down box. Right now, the only option I see is to delete the applicant that is in the validating queue. Thanks!

Is their anyway to implement topic rating/score like this: 1. Numerical display of topic score: 2. Option to short topic based on topic score and also they can be ignored if needed. It would be much useful to users to check all good rated post easily.

Currently I just can't see what any modification is like before using it, and clicking the image to bring up the lightbox somehow makes it smaller. It's not a software issue, because my own downloads install using your software works fine for the screenshots, so possibly allow larger screens of add ons and what not?

Hi there! Just one suggestion: If a member want to set an avatar, he has two choices: Upload an image from computer to the board server or Enter a URL to an online avatar image Some board admins doesn't allow upload user photo because they doesn't have too much disc space in server, so they disable some features. With avatar there is an option that disable image uploads to server, but as I said, you can use avatar images hosted in any free image host (tinypic, photobucket, imageshack, etc.) Why not do the same with "User Photo"? Allow user to enter URL to an online image for use as "User Photo"? I really would like this. Thanks for your time =)

Not sure if it ever has been brought up, but another thing that crossed my mind... When using the "Send PM to User" while in Topic View, it would be nice if it automatically included a quote of the post the user made. Because most of the time when you use the "PM Member" from Topic View you would want to reference it to the particular post, or maybe that is just me.

I don't really like the feature to add score to individual post. I mean, it's fine, but not very useful. A much more useful feature would be to rate a post up or down. Then such feature can be used for setting up a very common "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" pattern but can also be used to setup the "Was this answer helpful: Yes/NO" pattern. The admin will just have to configure the text of buttons to either use thumbs up/down or to use text "Yes/No" The total number of up and down votes can also be shown next to the options. An extra check has to be added to make sure user can only vote once. Do you think something like this will be added in the near future?

Was wondereing if Admins are supposed to be able to give their own posts rep? On my custom and default styles it allows. Shouldn't it be disallowed? Also, was wondering if this was the same for other usergroups/mods.
