Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted April 22, 201014 yr I know this has been done for IP.Chat already and was implemented to differentiate between the old legacy chat interfaces and IPS's chat interface however it would be logical to rename the other applications on the basis that IP.Content is already using the IP.name convention. Rename all IPS applications to conform with naming convention of IP.Content and soon to be IP.Chat. Download Manager > IP.Downloads Gallery > IP.Gallery Blog > IP.Blog They are described as such in "Purchase Additional Applications" area of the same screen.
April 22, 201014 yr I don't get your point. They are named IP.Downloads, IP.Blog, etc already...

April 22, 201014 yr Author For the purposes of those who don't follow what I'm talking about I'm attaching a SS. I marked this topic as ACP - Admin Control Panel so this was where I was referring to the issue.
April 22, 201014 yr Ah I see I do not yet use IPB 3 so was not aware they were not consistant. So why did you comment on it then
April 22, 201014 yr Go to the ACP Default is System, if not selected, choose now Select Manage Applications & Modules Find Chat Services, find the down arrow to the right of the green check mark and choose edit application details change the Application Title from Chat Services to IP.Chat repeat with the others no need to wait till 3.1 :shifty:
April 22, 201014 yr Go to the ACP Default is System, if not selected, choose now Find Chat Services, find the down arrow[img] [/img] and choose edit application details change the Application Title from Chat Services to IP.Chat Don't forget to change "Forums" to "IP.Board" while you're at it.
April 22, 201014 yr Don't forget to change "Forums" to "IP.Board" while you're at it. No, because Forums is just another IP.Board application. IP.Board is the framework. Think of it as being less of a bulletin board and more of a cork board you can attach other stuff to. System is more analagous to IP.Board these days.

April 23, 201014 yr FWIW, I tend to agree we should keep the naming consistent, if nothing else for brand purposes.
