When a user makes a private message with content of 3 characters or less an error pops up then your message disappears. This minimum text limitation could be improved by not causing the original message to disappear after the error pops up, so a user can finish typing his message.

is there any place to find documentation on using LDAP configuration on Active Directory? I need to more a Board in to a global set up using our authorizations in the Active Directory. If I cannot use this then it kills the platform for us. Is this documented anywhere? I cannot find it and this this should documented somewhere. I'm getting settled in our vB->IPB conversion, and I'm starting to take advantage of the Report Center. Back in vB, all reports had their own thread in a private forum; we'd discuss problem members, decide what to do in threads, and so on. It was useful. Since the reports were in threads, they showed up in the Get New Posts search. In IPB, they're in their own center, and I get a notification when a new report is made -- but I get no notification when a moderator replies to one, and I have no easy way to check if there are new replies at all. When I view New Content I get TITLE TO NEW CONTENT Clicking on the Icon AND the title SEEM to do the same thing. It would be great if we could have the icon take us to the first unread while clicking on the title would take us to the first page. It doesn't make sense if both the icon and the title takes you to the same place. In watched content this behaviour should be duplicated (even more so under watched content) . Right now you only get a linked title and that never takes you to your first unread post. Also, I find clicking through search results to be frustrating. I noticed the sharing button is in a weird position in the forum. I think it would allow more room to fit other buttons up top of the thread if it was positioned more over to the left. (Maybe down where the buttons are on the Y-axis, and the X-axis towards the left top corner) Thanks, Helladen

I wasn't sure where to post this, but the count for Total Posts at the bottom of the forum counts both posts and topics together. So if you could put the text to posts and topics or fix the formula that will work. I know this because I seen the admin panel's calculation and seen the forum's calculation and one was around 1300 where the other was 1900. Thanks, Helladen

The ability to enter a reason when banning/suspending someone and they will see the reason as a part of their ban message. Also the ability to display their unban date/time. Also, revamp the Moderating Team page. Allow us to chose if X group is staff. If we chose to do so, their group will show in the moderating team page. The groups with the most permission can be shown up top, or give us the option to re-arrange them. hi there , my upgrade from ipb 2.3.5 to 3.1.1 was like moving from earth to the moon with the all difficulties anyone can face and it has millions of errors , if ican suggest to offer a manual upgrade commands applied to phpmyadmin to make it more faster and easier and also to avoid the errors and if it is available please provide me with the link , thanks

Hello, IPB has a great skinning system. However, as time goes by, our skins at Skinbox become more and more complex and we feel limited on some points. I may have other suggestions in a very near future but here are a few ones. 1. I18n Some of our skins include some additional text which is hard-coded because we have no choice. What I would like is the ability to embed a language pack in the skin set file which would be automatically installed. There is an option in the admin panel where i can make the groups that I want to watch all the forum, with out them having to subscribe. 1.How can i have the same setting but for every post? Is there such a plugin? 2. How can I make this option 'Allow emails from the administrators' to be permanent, and hidden from the members options? Thanks for any help :thumbsup:

I'm into consistency and user experience. The current sidebar (on the forum listing and blog home) are a good start, but sooooo much more could be done to really improve this area. Why? Because sidebars help drive traffic and user attention without interrupting page flow. It is also a SUPERB area for ads (so much better than flow interrupting banners between posts). Think of how amazing the world would be with contextual (configurable by app maybe) sidebar(s) built into IPB. I am right this minute. And it is giving me a warm feeling inside. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently running 3.0.3 and using one of the old Classic (Pro) skins. In the not so distant future, I will be upgrading, which will also result in me reverting back to the default skin so I don't have to wait for skins to be updated, etc... when new versions are released. One of the MAIN problems my members had with the default skin (apart from the fonts/icons being a lot bigger than previously) was signing in. They didn't like the idea of having to click on the Sign In button, which then took them to another screen and to sign in there. Is there any reason why there can't be a "quick log in" feature where members can click a drop down box to sign in from the bo…

Okay I know it would be hard but well worth it! What you could do is have an ID number on each PM Notification Email and then just have the system search for it. If it matches a PM have it post it for the user. It would make everything allot easier and I would be able to get rid of the old noreply@My-Domain.com!!!! Thanks!

Okay once a upon a time I got a link to error codes look up on the resource page from IPB staff, now I go their to look it up and it all gone. Hard to find were the information is. I love when things are move and their is no link to were it goes, so I go do a search for error codes. I get nothing in my return results. So I put "error codes" still get nothing but error is over 1000 so it not going to use the word. Lovely even the system say ha ha. So to allow posting HTML in a thread there are 3 things that must happen (and one too many): 1. Allow HTML for the desired user group (makes sense) 2. Allow HTML in the settings for each forum (makes sense) Ok so now I've turned on HTML for my admin users, and I have allowed it in the particular forums where I want to post it but we aren't done yet we must still...... I can see checkboxes and toolbox in search. But my normal moderators can't see them. My moderators can edit any forums, they are like super mods, but i don't want to make them smods. How can i make them to see this menus?

I sometimes have to copy the entire code to paste into word so more easily find the code and change ... I personally recommend IPS allow license transfers again. Someone is interested in buying one of mine and I'm not too sure I even need it. However without transfers I have no way to sell it because first off I'm not going to give someone this account and second even if I did want to it would mean giving them ALL licenses. I personally don't see a reason for not allowing it other than to try to get new licenses sold and then people who don't need all of their current ones are stuck. Age requirements to join and age requirements in certain forums. Both minimum and maximum limits. Then I guess ability to turn off birthday changing where peoople don't get around it openly.
