The 'price vs quality' of apps in the Marketplace is obviously a very important matter in the minds of your customers, if you go off the popularity and strong opinions found in Gerry5509's thread about boycotting paid apps: http://community.inv...__fromsearch__1 I, like many other IPS customers are not overly concerned with the existance of Paid Apps, just those that are over-priced for what they are. From what I can see there is no price regulating to ensure a 'fair price' is charged. Every item in the Marketplace could have a "Value for Money" voting option, so anyone who views the mod can determine if it looks over-priced and vote between 1-10 (5 being fair price)…

This is something I've requested in the past, and I still think it would be a very good thing to have in IPB. There is now a mod for this which is done in a way that I think would fit pefectly into the IPB standard. All it does is adding a 'Resend Validation Email to theses Accounts' option in the dropdown list in ACP - Manage Validating. :thumbsup:

I suppose this a suggestion as well as an "What the heck?" sort of deal. If you would, take a look at this modification. 0 purchases, but 4 ratings for 1 star? The logic here is at least somewhat flawed. How can an item be rated if it's never been purchased or downloaded. I think that the whole rating system should require someone first to at least purchase and/or download the file before being able to rate or comment, that way ratings/comments aren't skewed by people who never actually use the hook/modification/skin or otherwise. Right now, the error messages displayed for the original recipient and the additional recipients not having PM access are different, which points to separate entries in the language files. It would be a small improvement for localization if the error message for both original and additional recipients called on the same entry, it would also reduce file size a few bits. :lol:

Please allow users with the permissions to add prefixes via subgroup add prefixes. As it stands, they can add tags but not prefixes. (Yes, I have the global setting to allow all with permission to set prefixes).

Hi, Why is this board sometimes very slow? Sometimes it takes a few minutes to open thread, or when the thread is reloading after a reply. Is it your hosting or IPB 3.2? Thank you.

I was really surprised to learn that local moderators were unable to edit tags in topics within their assigned areas. It seems like a big oversight in my opinion. A simple allow toggle in the moderators permission would be a welcome improvement to 3.2 IMHO.

I've come up with an idea that would enable IPS to enjoy the popularity of free applications while benefiting from the income of a commercial app. IP.Board Standard could be encoded and come with the basic feature set such as posting topics and PM's but very limited extras (like no quick reply or ability to post HTML, for example), but still have a hook system in place for people to create add-ons for the product. IP.Board Professional could be an unencoded version that allows greater flexibility of modification as well as a package of IPS developed hooks to be available for adding into the community either altogether or piecemeal as the admin wishes so it can be tail…

I was going through my board looking at topics that I wanted to "Tag" Being an admin and owner of my community its easy to add tags. But what if I was a member and wanted to add tags to a topic. This would help on SEO and help out a community if a topic can be tagged by other members

If IPS would like IPB to be more streamlined, I would suggest the following revamp to upload permissions: Drop upload permissions (on a per-forum basis) and manage upload capabilities via quota under the "Global Options" tab. This will get rid of a column in the permissions matrix. I'm aware that the Global Options quota affects the ability to upload to PM's as well, but it's the member's quota, the space is being used whether it's via PM or post anyway, and if it's really important, there's still the option to use Allow attachments in PMs? If keeping PM and forum quotas/permissions are important, then forum upload permission can be granted under the "Forum" tab.

In forums where members are restricted from viewing other member topics, I'd like to see pinned topics visible to all the members within that forum. :) There's really no other reason to pin a topic in that kind of forum as it exists right now.

We run a UK board, so it'd be nice if we had the option for all date acronyms in the boards to follow the European format of DD/MM/YYYY when the board is localised. I know it's a minor niggle but this happens in quite a few places across the board (example attached from [forum]index.php?app=forums&module=post§ion=post&do=new_post)

Hi, http://guildravenguard.com/forum/ We've moved the forum to a different server by installing the forum and uploading database. The problem now is the login and even the registration is not working. It returns that "Sorry, we could not find a member using those log in details." but using the forgot password it actually is working(sends email). Please help if you've ecncountered this. Thanks

I've had it since final was released, but finally got it up and running and now I'm finished. My opinion now is 3.2 is awfully good. I hate it when I'm wrong, but my initial feeling about the changes were not positive. No more! Now that I have launched a new community using 3.2 I'm pretty well sold on it. Congrats IPB, you've managed to turn this stubborn old goat around............

I'd like to see more options for our sitemaps: Side note, should I have created a separate topic for each of these? [*]Not sure how IceLabz pulled it off but for their sitemap, they could include all threads. I don't see why IP.SEO can't do that without having to manually run queries. A solution should be found IMO. [*]IceLabz also had the ability for you to break up the sitemaps to include however many links you want in them. One thing that I get a lot of errors for is duplicate meta tags and titles (in Google Webmaster Tools). It would be nice if IP.SEO could make my life easier and have an option for me to pull up the duplicates, and change their meta information on the fly in the ACP. This could also be a good moderation tool as some of my users like to post the same exact thread (same titles and message) in different sections so this would allow us to either combine the 2 or delete one. Hello, I may have been taking the wrong approach to use other user's topics to request that the user agent for Windows Phone is added to this site for the mobile skin so I will create my own topic. :) Would you guys please add the Windows Phone user agent? Please, please. My user agent is (this is the Mango developer release): Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows Phone OS 7.5; Trident/5.0; IEMobile/9.0; HTC; T7575) I think the only difference with the current Windows Phone version is that it would be "Windows Phone OS 7.0" and "IEMobile/7.0". Obviously the HTC and T7575 are specific to my model.

I thought I read somewhere that we would be able to manage the tabs to set them in the order we want? If I misread I think this would be a good addon for the next IPBoard release .I know you can sorta do it in the applications but that doesn't help when you move one app and it messes up the entire navigation system on the board and then you have to find out what you have moved to move stuff back to the way it was. This also effects the "Other Apps" menu and moves the IPB native apps below the third party apps It would be nice to see an option to where we can move our tabs to the way we want them

Would be good when admin in ACP could see last 5 sessions used of every member in his ACP profile. Some users can use old browser and they can have some problems with features, skins etc. I cannot know why they can have problems, but when I'll see in their session that they use old browsers I can recommend what they could do.
