For micro galleries where each photo is individually curated, IP.Gallery is fine. But for large-scale galleries with hundreds or thousands of photos, the current process of adding information to every photo is too time-consuming. Nobody has time to add the same tags and the same description and the same copyright and the same credits to every photo. - During initial image uploading, add option to add same information across every image. - After image uploaded, add options to mass edit same information across every image.

In Pages with Reviews on, there is no way for the author to leave a rating. They have to reply to the record under the Reviews tab. There are review type sites where the author leaves a review for a product, then the public leaves reviews. Not possible here. And that's how I run some review sections. So is the idea here they have to leave a reply to actually rate the product, when the original record body is the review? That is not the best. It would look something like "Replying just to add my star rating." No good. All you need is the "star" ratings available to the author, and next to it, it would say "Author's Rating," as to not confuse for the overall rating. Since r…

Could be totally on my own here but thought I'd put it out there, on my site we get some really really long posts which members quote sometimes 2 or 3 times on the same page, when you are on your mobile especially your thumb gets a good old workout. Idea stolen from Xenforo but click to expand quote or anything similar which limits the chars in quotes is something I really would love to see on IPB and I know my thumb would really appreciate it as well. Might even be a simple CSS trick some lovely member will put forward.....

You offer the option to define extra fields for IP.Downloads. It makes a lot of sense in IP.Galley as well. For example: - For most of my galleries, I only need EITHER credit or copyrights, not both. - For certain categories, I may use fields like 'Studios' 'Publication Dates' 'Model Name' etc.

Thank you, I love IPB 4 and once those pesky editor bugs are fixed you guys are on to something special here, no other forum software comes close. Customer service is also right up there with the best, so helpful keeping me updated on where you are with bugs and fixing issues I've had through the later RC's. Can I also say that not only are you all super clever and amazingly talented but what handsome men you all are having seen the staff pic in the off topic forum. When a user creates an album: Need to add expanded privacy options to include membergroups. For example, I have albums that I'd like registered members to see, but not guests. That's not possible right now.Need to add expanded collaboration options to include membergroups. For example, I have albums in which I'd like all members of a certain member group can add. This is different from categories, which are predefined by the admin -- I need user-created albums for collaborative work. Right now, each user needs to create their OWN album, even if it's the same subject.

Something I'm not sure how feasible it would be, but would be very useful, how about with the different blocks available, have a comments block you can put on any page, that way you could have a comments section on any part of any page. It would look similar to the comments section on database pages.

I noticed you can have virtually limitless amount of characters in a status comment (A reply made to a Status) however say if a reply is over 10 paragraphs long this can be quite screen filling. Especially for those that have already read it. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE this new feature and I don't want it to go but is there any possibility either as part of the core or by a hook that something could be done about this? Like... Put this into the future ideas bucket - I suggest something like how owncloud provides a single PHP script where all you need to do is put one file on the server and then go to that url and then it will pull the latest version from the server and proceed to uncompress and install the files - server to server. https://owncloud.org/install/#instructions-server download the setup-owncloud.php and glimpse the php script seems pretty straight forward?! would eliminate some steps for first timers using their own system. Would like to see it extended to do the same thing for della upgrades.

Hi, Tech Support are great, but please can someone escalate or look at my ticket 914522, my site is crippled with white blank pages in several places after upgrading from 4.0.2 to 4.0.4. I can't view Gallery, switch themes, view my profile, use Support page or view Members in my AdminCP. Previous ticket took a while to fix so would appreciate anything that can be done as I need to have my site working due to increased local publicity in my town and local media. Many thanks!

I'd like to see support for per blog permissions, ability to rate and comment in IPS4, currently its only per group. I'm a bit surprised such functionality is not there unless i'm missing something? Other modules have equivalent functionality so why not blogs? It significantly limits IPS4 capability in my setup.

I don't know where else to post this, or if it has be brought up before, but I noticed that if another user has their Status Feed disabled, it says "Your status feed is disabled and hidden from other users. Enable". Maybe it should say "<Username>'s status feed is disabled and hidden from other users." Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/M183mTz.png If I click enable while on a users profile that has the status feed disabled I get thrown an obvious error "You are not allowed to edit this profile" Sorry if I am missing something, but I know that when we switch to IPB, some of our users will bring this up. I am also sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

If I can make a request re: the address field in Pages....I would like to have a toggle to allow users to upload multiple addresses if they wish. This is especially useful for a business directory where a particular business might have multiple locations.

Is there any? I've spent three days trying to figure out how to do anything in pages (templates, databases, etc) and I'm completely baffled and frustrated. As a non-programmer everything about the system is pretty much noise to me and since I cannot find a single bit of documentation (all searches to date have turned up IP.Content results) I'm pretty much at wits end. Can anyone point in me the right direction to at least try and get my head around this?

When you want to tag someone, even on these forums which are presumably well powered, the drop-down user box can still take a long time to pop-up. I just tried to tag @Andy Millne and typed in his name, but because of the lag for the pop-up, it now won't get tagged to him and there is no parsing to fix it. I know this has been raised before and that it's a hard thing to crack, but users will find it annoying having to type @And... then wait for 5-10 seconds just to tag one person? PS. @Andy Millne

This is more of a request to get this back in the ACP but as far as I can tell, outside of the Calendar app which does have date format settings, we are stuck with the datetime function default with no way to change them (i.e. after we go through hours and the past week the format defaults to "day month-abbr.' So 20 May. 3 March. Etc.) On the template side we can add in dateonly="true" after the initial function call to return a format of 4/14/15, etc. but that's it unless there are some more undocumented vars to pass through. Still limiting to end users though without an ACP setting. Apologies if this was already asked for. Just noticed it myself now strangely enough.

I noticed Xenforo had a neat feature where you can paste in an image that was copied to a clipboard. So if someone uses a snipping tool or screenshot, they can just CTRL-V and it pasted it into the reply box. Does IPB have that functionality?

Would like to suggest that Questions & Answers should be separate when viewing a user's content. Right now it just mixed with Topics & Posts. For example, when viewing Lindy's content, in the sidebar there should be: Questions and AnswersQuestionsAnswers

when looking at the blog list the users font formatting bleeds thru to the top level. Since you are looking at an 'INDEX' of blogs for different individuals and these blogs may be manually posted or import via RSS - i would like to see a unified styling on the blog index - once the user goes into the blog then the original style could be displayed. by way of example: two blogs the fonts don't make the index cohesive also recent entries on the right should eliminate hyphenation and just use the ellipsis "…" when the article title is too long for the side bar. The text wrapping creates vertical height

I see that the databases for cms comments tracks ip's. I would like it to be made available in the comments for staff. As it is not right now. It would really help track down and stop guest comments that are abusive from the same person over and over. And help stop abuse. (guest posting is a must for my site)
