Let's say you are building a database of all the cars in the world. This is a huge database and you are entering possibly a thousand names in a day as separate db records. This floods the streams. Admins/Editors need a quick way to prevent these from showing in streams, including All Activity. With certain databases you don't need the record to show in the streams. Especially when doing bulk data entry as the building process. We just want to build it and when users want to look a record up they will look it up alphabetically and by category. Currently, if you want to view content that you've posted, you have to click your picture (or, on this site, click your name then click profile), then view your activity. It would make sense to have My Content or My Activity or something like that in the user dropdown menu that you get when clicking your username, so you can access it at a later date.

I don't often write messages irrespective of how I feel (good or bad) but I have to say I had lost my confidence in IPS recently where I felt the support was not great, often fobbed off with a response of "have you run the support tool" and anything else that could be dreamt up in order to provide an initial response to put the ticket back on my toes and then as it was not the first submission when I replied it took days to get a response. I had become quite disappointed in the support that IPS were providing and this practice was frustrating. It'd be nice if admins could set up certain activity streams in the ACP and link them to a certain page. So for example I'd use this to make a News activity stream, which would pull from my 4 different News forums (I have one for news [basic announcements], updates [change logs for our game server's plugins], events [in-game events], and reports [monthly reports]). I have a button under "More" on my nav bar which is titled "News" and takes them to the main forum for that. But it'd be useful if I could for example define an activity stream in the ACP that pulls from all 4, and put it on a Page I make with Pages @ /news of my website. We have an off-topic forum which on 3.4 we currently disable the ability for members to post images (external links are OK) as we don't want our server clogged up with non-Forum related posts. There doesn't seem an option for enabling/disabling the ability to post images on a per Forum basis. Also, we use the 'Default date cut off for topic display' to automatically remove inactive posts after a selected number of days. We use it for the off-topic forum as well as a couple of others such as our birthday greetings and classifieds sections but the majority of our forums retain all their posts. Hello in my board we have thousands of unapproved posts. It will be useful when mod/admin click on unapproved posts icon, and see all the posts that are unapproved to have "Select all" button. Now i have to click posts one by one, that is very time consuming.

Any word that is defined as a full-text stop word in MySQL I was told will fail in search. This is a pretty big list of common words. My users have searched for a few of them and found search to be of poor quality. They don't accept , "well that's a full-text stop word, so you can't search for it". They simply assume "search doesn't seem to work" (to quote some feedback from my users) Surely there is a better way to do this. I know other search's for competing frameworks can search these words. I'm not sure if anyone else has brought this up, but as I customize the language on my own site it occurs to me that future versions of Gallery should have language that is perhaps more general? I've been re-tailoring my Gallery as a "Media Gallery" because as we all know it can serve both images and video clips. So having everything read "X images" seems inaccurate and less than graceful. And while you can change a lot of the software's language using the translation tools, maybe it's a good idea to generalize the app as more "media" oriented than "image" oriented? Which would involve some updated language as well as changing the camera icon to something a little…

Granted the Mark Site read i really wish would be relegated to the footer but i digress. The former Default Stream and Mark Read links ONLY appear in the Forums App on this site, they are missing from the market place. I would really like to see each app have it's own custom streams and "default streams" so if i were in say the marketplace and clicked the unread it would default the settings to only show content FROM the app I am currently IN.

I can't stress how important it is for IPB to update their URL structure to today's standards. The current URLs are redundant, confusing and bordering on anti-SEO. So we have just spotted something. We are using articles on our homepage and having the article use the forum for discussion (creates forum posts automatically) however an issue we have spotted is when we lock a thread, it doesn't lock the comments on the article and thus allows users to keep posting and also updating the closed thread. This is a MUST in needed functionality.

Dear support, I would like to have a payment gateway which has been used by the Dutchmen to pay online. This gateway 'Ideal' is not present at this moment on Nexus. Companies like Mollie and Pay.nl are offering a very simple api which can be integrated with Nexus. Are you able to implement this payment method?

To make the site clean and to reduce wasted bandwidth, I don't allow any images in signatures. However, that also means that emojis aren't allowed in signatures, because all your check does is look for <img> tags. I think emojis should be allowed in signatures, or at least be a separate setting, because they work very differently to regular images.

This leads to a 404 because we don't have it setup. Just like the setting to disable RSS on the activity streams in 4.1.10, it would be nice to have the option here too.

Would be nice if the Topic Feed or Recently Updated Topics had the option to show the recently updated date instead of the topic started date. An end user may think that the thread is very old when in fact is just had a new reply. I attached a screen grab of the area that should have the option. The topic was updated today (4/5/2016) but a user may think the last activity was on March 30.

When uploading from phone (primarily), I'd like to just upload and not worry about renaming first, but I like to name my files for searching later for posting existing attachments. You can do this in Gallery by editing the image and changing "caption" (the searchable name) but not with attachments. Would be great if you could just click on the file name in My Attachments and change. I would never worry about uploading 234737473.jpg, knowing I could change it later. Sidenote: Please add search ability to My Attachments. Thanks!

When clicking on Marketplace at the top you have the options in the second menu: Manage Purchases Orders Addresses Account Credit However if you click on them the entire context shifts in this Navigation to "Our Community" with the default 2nd level menubar. For consistency the hierarchy should be maintained along with each item.

Hello, I think it would be really useful to be able to request the new member to enter the email address twice, and to make the two values match. I'm receiving too many emails with errors because the registration email couldn't be delivered and this makes it difficult for new users to register. I use to have this check enabled in phpbb and I didn't get this deliver error emails. Could you add this feature in the adminCP so it can be enabled or leave disabled if somebody doesn't want it ? Thanks.

The Q&A forums thing is a neat idea and pretty useful. However it does lack a feature which most things like that have- the ability to reply to individual answers. So for example, someone might comment with an answer, but someone else finds a problem with that answer. As is they have to comment on the topic itself, which should be for answers to the question, instead of just replying to the answer. Something like a little reply button and then indenting the replies slightly (see: stackoverflow) would make sense.

It seems like i must be the only one who would love this feature to be put into IPS4 :/ The latest lost info on the forum index has always been a huge thing for me as it has content that might grab my eye without me having the search through forums for something that may interest me. Is there a way to enable this feature for IPS4 or would it have to be a custom modification?

When uploading images it's impossible to see which image is which with similar ones, and similar names, because they are truncated leaving off the identifying part of the name. For example, all of these look the same. If I could hover the truncated name and see the full name I would see which is which and know where to place it in the post (or hover anywhere over thumb).
