Hi, the date field as it is on the IP databases is quite useless. Why putting a date field if it can't be filtered on the databse filters? Please allow it to be filtered on the listing view (ex filter: between two dates) I'm putting this here, but i suspect nobody from IPS will answer me as it usually happens here. Just for reference:

A very needed admin feature is missing .. to reset or delete number of uses restriction per customer .. Removing the invoice/transaction/etc doesn't make any difference .. Specially if the payment failed and the coupon is used, if was limited to only use 1 coupon per customer (normal) .. customer didn't even had a choice to retry, coupon is not valid anymore .. It's partially a bug if this happens with the invoicing ..

Hi, IPS 4.1.x has the option to sort items by "Most Replies." See screenshot. I was wondering if you guys could add an option of "Less Replies." Our users want this option, as an easy way to see which topics haven't been replied yet and deserve their attention. Many thanks!

I suggest a function that marks the highest voted post the best answer instead if it having to be marked manually. So the (optional) acp forum setting would be something like: Answer with most votes is marked Best Answer - This only applies after there are 5 answers with votes. or An answer with 20+ votes is marked Best Answer (Numbers determined by admin) You may ask why, since you can see the highest voted at the top. But that is not marked best, and you may have manual marking off for the user and staff. And then you just have a dead looking forum because you still see all the Best Answer language and filters but no best answers. If you hover the question mark…

I wanted to see if there has been any movement on integrating SMS as part of the registration process (in addition to email verification), and to further expand to see if it would be possible to have SMS verification for particular user groups posting to certain forums, for their first X amount of posts. We recently had a scammer take 3 of our users for a ride, to the tune of $2k each, and would like to take additional steps to help keep that from happening (can never stop scammers, but you can sure make it more difficult).

Seriously... How does this get past basic user experience review? How is this useful spending of valuable mobile screen space? Am I supposed to read the activity feeds while 80-90% of my screen space is taken up by filters as I scroll down? I'm sick, sorry of my tone and lack of motivation to see if there is already feedack on this or not. Image attached.

Hello All, I have a suggestion to be introduced in a future version of IPSuite 4. Please add in forum creation an option, along with possibility of upload a custom icon for each forum to be able to add or select a Font Awesome icon. Kind of an example (can also be a Unicode icon text like /f309):

It should be possible to make an activity stream of new topics, in order that the topic is started, rather than just a stream of topics ordered by last updated. This is how I would expect "content items only" to work, but it doesn't, and I do understand that there is a use case for the existing content items only, so this should probably be a third filter option. It would be even better if you could choose to display the content items only independently of how they're sorted, so it can be a topic feed, sorted by last updated like forum listings are (so you can make a stream that acts as a forum listing for multiple forums), with the ability to choose whether to previ…

For RPGs, fan fiction forums and even world building or collaboration type forums it is extremely common to use multiple accounts. It is so common now that the largest IPB 1.3 hosts added fast account switch. ProBoards as well. phpBB is discussing making it a core feature. The other paid software: XenForo, vBulletin and other major software such as MyBB and SMF allow the same email to be used for multiple accounts. I'm only naming them to show the status that IPB is now pretty much the only one that doesn't even have it as an admin option which most others do. Please give a possibility to see new threads in forums also in mobile view, if you're on the main forum start page. Our users complain massively about the fact, that new threads aren't displayed there any more, so for now they can't easily scroll through what's going on. Concerning this, they mention, that the activity streams - though they have their legitimate functionality - are several clicks away, and activity content looks a bit lost without being able to overview the forum structure. Hi With the validating group being removed and it now being a flag to differentiate between validated and non-validated members of the members group, there is no way to select only validated members for bulk mails This is potentially a big problem. Every non-validated address could be false represented or non-existant. With sites like Yahoo already being on a hair trigger to prevent spamming websites it is important that admins can select not to send bulk mails to members who are not validated. Cheers John

Right now we can set up forums which are redirects and take you to a specified link. It'd be neat if we could do the same on a thread. Edit: I was tired when I made this... re-written to make more sense, lol.

When I first ran into the need for a description to elaborate on the purpose of a theme setting, I didn't think much of the functionality being missing, making an invalid assumption that providing custom code changing the field name would work fine. Yeah.... umm... no, that breaks copying theme settings and even installing defaults - the example code provided is provided for a reason. That's all well and good, but... can we please have support of _desc language strings here?

Our Forums use a number of custom member profile fields. A large part of our site revolves around the Member Profiles providing a detailed description of that member and their interests with all our members being able to browse/search the member list. As we have close to 10,000 members it is essential that it is possible to restrict or narrow a search of the member list to certain specific criteria such as Suburb – Interest or one of or a combination of any of the other member profile fields we use. I think moderators & Admins who can see " (see edit history) " Should be able to see a "restore" button next to each of the saved versions. I see a few posts that have been deleted that I would like to resurrect. It's easy if it's just text but in this case there are many attachments in the post. I wish I could just restore back to that edit.
