Hello forum, I have just tried to make a reply and upload images and also insert those images into the post. There is no preview of images and also when I try to insert images into the post I only get blue squares. When I submit the post, there are no images in it.. What am I doing wrong. I am using latest version of Chrome browser. Hmm, strange. it is actually normally working in this new post, but not when create a reply in this topic:

Users are experiencing the inability to log in. They have to click login 2-3 times with their info for it to take., According to IPB staff, its a Google adsense issue and I agree. Anyone else having this challenge? I have the ad to display on the footer of the main page which also seems to include the login area.

Using 4.0.1: On a mobile device when I multiquote, the quotes end up "stuck together" in the editor. That is, there is no line between them. I cannot figure out how to add text in between the quotes. Is this a bug or am I missing some trick?

Im currently testing ip.commerce demo and... I created 2 departments, one with a checkbox set (3 options) and 2 severity status (normal and critical) when trying to submit from a department that does not have any checkboxes and checking the critical severity it wont submit, it will load but it will stay at the submit form. But, when choosing the department with the checkboxes configured it will submit but it wont save the severity as critical for some reason. Any solution? Thank you

I created a custom navigation for my forums. I want to be able to set an 'active' class on my Members link if you are on the Members page. How would I go about doing this? I was hoping to do something like if (on the member_page) { set the 'active' class }; I have tried with PHP, but I couldn't get this to work within the template file.

I haven't seen any topic or post on this yet so I want to ask how you are storing your emoticons using the new IPS4 storage settings? On my test board I have created emoticons uploads subdirectory where the emoticons are placed by the system in monthly based folders. But I'm not sure if the monthly based folders for emoticons is practical. I'm thinking if it would be better to: place them all in the emoticons directoryand even have custom ones in their own folderI also would like to know: how I change the monthly naming to something different so they are all placed together in the emoticon subdirectory.

I wonder why Downloas starting a new hidden thread when uploading new files. These hidden thread shows in search result and can not be view. Getting this message: Sorry, there is a problem You do not have permission to view this content. Error code: 2F173/H I dont want these hidden threads to view in search.

Someone from IPS please correct me if I am wrong. I was using the File > Storage Settings > Configurations to move some things into a sub director inside uploads. /home/mySite/public_html/uploads/store Basically moving all 'store' related attachments in to this directory - and after doing this of course the system goes in to 'background process' moving stuff But that completed about 2 days ago - currently in the files settings there is a message: I think from another ticket that there actually still is some "move process" going on - because looking at the FTP of the directories things are not in a "normal" state. Suggestion: If indeed these things are tasks…

what is the best option to rebuild all content after upgrade to IPS4? I am on a shared hosting, it will take ages, should I simply download the databases to a local system and run the upgrade and the rebuild ? or should the full uploads directory be there as well ? Will it be ok for the actual paths to differ on local system to whats on the server, eg /home/test/www/site (local) vs /chroot/www/site (onserver). Please help with these answers

Is there a tool to scan the database and identify tables and fields that are not "native" to the suite I would like to remove the flotsam and jetsam from the database of old add ons as i'd prefer to reset them up with current version vs 'upgrading'

Is it possible to sign up for one site, and share the log in with other Suites? All would be 4 (eventually) This would also be on the hosted IPS service. I remember reading something in a company blog post some time ago about Federation, but I am not sure this is what it meant. Thanks,

4.x looks very nice so I created a new domain, I installed 4.x, transferred my license and now I would like to import all the data that was on my 3.x IPB board. Does anyone see any issues? I imagine everything is different. If I try and import the 3.x DB will 4.x bark at it or will it put everything where it is suppose to go. Is there a Import DB option like there was on 3.x under Support Tools (not seeing it on 4.x) If you could let me know the best way to do this it would be great.

In 3 we had the Template Merge Centre, in 4 I'm not seeing anything like that. Can anyone explain how it works now with template changes after an upgrade? I only have Adsense JS and custom locations added to the templates but I've been recreating my theme after every upgrade just to be sure. Right thing to do? Or is 4 super clever now and I'm wasting my time?

Hay, Just ran the latest update and got - MISSING_APP_DATA /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxx.co.uk/httpdocs/applications/core/sources/Setup/Upgrade.php::698 Retry and continue did not work. When i login to the admin, the update option has gone. I am not sure now if an update has been applied. I have a backup and the forum is offline.
