1 No Option of Entry images... 2 There was option to make editors in Blog - I can see the post by editors which are still in the blog... However now editors cannot post in the blog 3. Blog widgets - Recent comments , recent visitors , recent posts of same blog - A blog used to look like a blog of the member.... Has the blog feature downgraded ?

Hello, I currently have 3.4xx (latest version before 4 so I know it works on my server) that I'm self hosting with my own license. It was installed by IPS team member. It's very raw and I don't care about completely deleting it and I'm ready for 4.2. I've downloaded the files from my client area and they are unzipped. I've tried to get an answer via ticket but have not received an answer in a few days. To make the change, my question is: 1. Do I simply delete the older 3.4xx folder on the server? 2. How do I install the 4.2 files or how will they look like when on the server (file order)? Do I create and name a new folder? Any other tips would be very much appreciated. Th…

Hi all, I have just tried to mention somebody (so they get an alert) in a post over on my newly upgraded forum (very nice work on IPB4 btw) however it didn't seem to work/show up as anything different than plain text - I used @ and their username. Am I doing this wrong, or am I asking about a feature that doesn't exist? Many thanks!

Is it easily possible to apply group styles to users names when they make a post? I think it'd be in the Edit HTML & CSS > Forums > postContainer file but I'm not sure how to apply the group formatting rule.

I use several images in pages articles. What I am used to with wordpress, is that wp builds different dimensions of thumbnail images for previewing / inserting into the article. When clicking on an image, you can view the full image. With IPS the image is resized by the client browser and the full image has to be loaded. (Editing the image url in IPS ckeditor by clicking on the image won't save the url to e.g. another full-sized image (uploaded via ftp)) This increases loading time for the end users and produces bad page speed rankings because of the need to load the full sized image in articles. Hello `o, I am having a problem downloading the IPS software from the client area. Yesterday I extended my licence to include the Pages application and since I wanted to install it now, I tryed to download it. Now always when clicking the "Download" button and being redirected to https://remoteservices.invisionpower.com/download/ips_9b154 the page says "IP address does not match." (with a 403 status code: access denied). I already tried relogging, deleteing my cookies, using other browsers, and resetting my IP by reconnecting. Can anybody help me please? Thank you!

Hi See the image for an example of my frontpage showing articles. I like how the top article has 100% width, but the articles beneath that should only be 50% wide so that two articles fit on one line. Does anyone know how I can get that to work?

I tried searching these forums and google for the past hour for the answer to my question, but can't seem to find it. It would seem almost everything we can do on IPB 4.0 is customizable for permission/group sets, but I cannot seem to find a way to set up permissions for the Status Update feed. So basically - guests to my forums can see the status update feed and I don't want them to be able to see it unless they are a member to the forums on a certain mask. The forums are for gaming (alliances) so things here and there are opsec. or should be hidden from certain guest views. Is this possible?

this is odd. all third party hooks/mods uninstalled. upload the 403 files and try to run upgrader (same thing happens if I hit install.php also) and I get to the database section and it tells me I can't do it due to existing community being installed. if I were to assign different prefix I could but that doesn't help. this is on test board (luckily) so I can try anything to see why its happening. any thoughts while I restore it and d/l a fresh copy of 403 ?

I am trying to put in anchors on pages, however, It seems to be having some issues. I am wanting to clarify this I am doing this properly.
