Hello guys. I'm trying to edit the recent posts sidebar to include in the hover over "title" tag the forum in which the topic is posted. Hello, Is it possible to remove all reputation points made by members in a specific area ? Maybe with a sql query ? I'm asking because some members are getting tons of reputation points by posting funny stuff in off-topic areas. This is good for the forum activity, but not so good for users that make great content in other areas and deserve to be as top contributors. Any help would be appreciated, maybe someone already did something like this before and could help. Thank you!

I'm trying to drag a new block from the block manager onto a page and its only highlighting the text and not dragging the block. I tried searching and didn't see where someone else has had this problem.

Auto Move Thread Hello On our forums we have recently added a series of predefined prefix's. Is it possible, that when a specific prefix is assigned to a thread it auto moves to a new forum area for example archive? Thanks British Borders

Hey everyone! Every time I upload something on my board, I get a instant notification when it has been uploaded. The sound is a little annoying and I wish to turn that sound off. There is any way of changing this? I can't seem to find a off switch or something like that... Thank you!

When I post into a secondary database, it copies the DB entry into the forums section. The problem I have is that it only posts a link "full report" in the forums instead of any content. I had done this with another DB in the past and the content was included. I have compared DB settings and they all seem the same. What am I missing? I am still using 4.1.19.3 nevermind, found it, just need to TYPE over the field vice trying to delete template guidance

Am I just overlooking a setting somewhere? Back in 3.x I could designate certain topics to show on my homepage portal. I usually had this set to show the last 5 topics from a "Site News" forum category. Since only I (or other staff) could create topics in that section, we controlled the formatting of what displayed on the homepage. Now with 4.x, you can still do "Topics" but they are in condensed view. This means no matter if they are on the sidebar, or the main body column.....they only show the name of the topic, date, etc. Ok, so then I try to do "the Posts Widget, and that works better, but it shows all the replies to said posts as well. So, how do I restore this…

Hello! I'm hoping someone could assist me with this issue I'm having. So I installed IPB on an IP Address from Digital Ocean (I couldn't wait ) and now my domain is redirecting, so I went into conf_global.php and changed the URL accordingly. The only issue is that FontAwesome isn't working. I checked the upload paths in the Admin CP, and they look right (/var/www/html/uploads/) so, I'm not sure what the problem is. Could someone please tell me what I need to do to fix this? Also, on top of that, is there anything you need to do when changing forum URLs? Thank you very much!

Hi, sometime in the last week or so on my website the option in a person's profile to position their cover photo seemed to randomly disappear and now all cover photos are just top-aligned. This may have happened around the time I upgraded to 4.1.19 but I can't be sure. As far as I can tell the stuff related to cover photo positioning is entirely Javascript and between that and the fact that the javascript is all minified, it's going to be a real pain to try and debug. I would like to know if anyone has happened to experience the same issue and if there is some incredibly simple reason that I have just overlooked.

I'd like to remove the follow button from sections in my forum. When I look in the themes I see a tab for it (Attaching screenshot) but am not sure what I need to delete. Do I just need to remove the HTML in the followbutton tab ?

Can someone point me to a guide on how to create tables in a database template for 4.1 in Pages? I upgraded from 3.4 to 4.1 and when looking at all my databases now, the formatting is all screwed up and not in table format anymore like I had originally. I know html fairly well but I'm new to how to creating templates to pull information from the database for IPB.

Any recommendations for how to best implement the ability to restrict the number of records a member can submit to a custom CMS database? I'm looking at possibly a code hook, but I'm not sure the best method to override. The use case is certain member groups being able to submit records to a database, but each member in the group can only submit 1 record. I want to make sure they can't submit multiple records or edit any records but their own.

Upgraded to 4.1 a few months ago and things have gone well. however I just added a new forum for "help" tickets and I want it accessible to guests. However when I go to permissions the box to "see forum" is not active for guests... I cant click it in permissions. The category the forum is in IS viewable to guests but not this new forum. The old converted forums under the same category ARE viewable to guests. Why cant I set a new forum to be seen to guests??

I want to add some notes on how search works to the search page. Rather than hardcode it into the template, I thought I'd create a new word key. However I cannot figure out how to do that. I can see how to edit or translate existing items, but not create a new one - not on the default language, nor on a new one I created. So how do I create a word key, say search_notes, that I can then include in a template as {lang="search_notes"} Or do I need to create a plugin or go into Developer Mode or something?

Can anything be done with page jumping in Safari on pages with embedded content? My site sees a lot of embedded tweets, sometimes 5 or 6 on one page, can be a nightmare watching the page bounce up and down like crazy. I understand this isn't so much an IPS but a Safari issue, hopefully Apple will put a fix out when the new iOS and OSX are released later this year with Google Chrome addressing the issue with built in scroll anchoring. Was just wondering if there was anything at all as in a temporary bodge it add this to your css fix other than disabling embeds or sending everyone over to Chrome?

Hello, For now, I am not allowing Sign In users with Twitter and Facebook accounts. I want to put this feature, but I have several questions: 1.- When someone Sign In via Twitter or Facebook, is an user account automatically created with their data? 2.- If someone is already registered with IPS system, and now Sign In with Twitter or Facebook, a new account is created and then the user will have two: one created through IPS and now another because he accessed with Twitter or Facebook ?

My forum is located on dedicated server, everything works just fine there, the server is not loaded at all, but... When I simply try to reply in some thread, or start a new topic, or even send a message in PM - it takes from 20 to 50 seconds to do that. There are just a hundred or so topics on that forum, so I don't understand why does it work so slow??
