The out-of-the-box articles template is not responsive with media? As an example, YouTube videos do not resize to mobile browsers. Is this just the result of a bare-bones template? A setting or is this the way it is?

I had an interesting question from a member of ours, he was asking why his attachments are not searchable. We understand you can go to "My Attachments" and filter and sort, but if you perform a search query in the search bar, it will not appear. If he names his image "widget_repro" and uploads it to a topic. And if he does a search for "widget" it will not show up. Is this because our images folder on our server is secured? Why can't a member search for an image they uploaded? Thanks for the schooling!

Hello community, I need assistance on getting another server to send emails throught invision community hosted server. I tried my best to follow the instructions on the site to get this to work but for some reason Im getting a "connection refused" with my own provided email hosting "emails send perfectly fine manually" and my friends also. If someone can provide assistance on this issue it would be very much appreciated

I have emails set up through PHP though no one receives emails, as well as the test email does not seem to send an email either. No error logs have been generated. The emails do not show up in spam either

When looking at the list of topics in a forum, there used to be a real time yellow "2 users here" (for example) when 2 users are currently viewing a topic, instead of the view counter. I haven't seen this in a while. Not on my site, not on this site either. Is this feature disabled? Here's an example of a topic that I know currently has multiple users viewing and typing, and yet it just shows the view counter as usual instead of displaying the real time number of users viewing the topic: Ok so I just saw it here on this site. But I'm no longer seeing it on my site?

We are having difficulty with the drop down menu on the pages/databases section of our site, which is the front page. The drop down menus do not work, and neither does the theme selector. They work fine elsewhere. The only changes to the theme are additional ad placements. However, we've tried a completely stock theme, and the same issue happens. The site is https://ballofspray.com/ When logged in the main menu on the home page links to https://ballofspray.com/#elUserLink_menu From mobile, it just goes to https://ballofspray.com/# (nowhere)

Hi, We recently updated to Invision Community v4.7.5 and have just noticed the events widget no longer works. I was checking the LOGS of the site and saw a strange request made by a user...(and his IP address is highly suspicious) I checked it and the service page came up... Any idea why users can't open attachments anymore when they are using Chrome on mobile phone? Firefox is fine. Also all desktops are fine. Maybe some Chrome mobile update causes this? This have been a problem about 3-4 weeks now. Before this case there were not problems with attachments.

I checked the responses to the API request for all fourms (GET forums/forums) either side of the forum update. Before it responded with them all and after it only returned 1 page of 25 responses. Did something change in this release?

Hi, We just noticed that something is wrong with the payment of subscriptions. We have two new subscribers, and everything looks fine in the Transactions log, the status is Approved. However, in the Invoices log, both purchases are still in a pending state. We're running on the latest version of Invision, and have relatively recently upgraded to PHP 8.1. We're using Stripe. Any idea what's causing this? Logs in Stripe look fine. -Fredrik

I followed the topic at: In addition to the main problem, the guide does not properly describe the naming and creation requirements: Layout name must start with "layout_" and cannot just be any old name that you choose - as in the document. You must not just copy all the settings to the "_preview" template as the base template has a single variable ($users) whereas the "_preview" template does not have any variables. The main problem occurs when using admin to create or edit a staff directory to specify the layout. The admin utility is forced to "Theme zero (id=0)" and you cannot follow the instructions in the document to edit …

Wow, I am tremendously disappointed we paid what we did to have our site hosted here on invision's servers. having to post a message in a community forum for support is ridiculous. When I email support, I get an email stating that "as a self hosted client you don't have email support". We aren't a self hosted client. We are a paid $1,000+ to be hosted on invision's servers client. I have pointed our domain strokeboard.net to the 4 invision nameservers I was giving during the initial setup and the domain does not resolve to our site. I would like to be contacted by support immediately. This is inexcusable.

I have one Moderator who can not view the reported posts in their entirety. They can only see three old reports. One from this past year, one from the year before last, one from the year before that. I have had them try different browsers, clear caches and nothing seems to rectify the issue. Noone else is reporting this issue. Is there something I can do on the backend to correct this or does IPS need to have a look? TYIA
