  1. @AlexJ what Redis version are using at this moment? I am using 7.0.8 latest stable version.

    1% (38.84M/23.27G)

I am not able to follow how reddis consumption goes from 250MB appx to 40MB appx.

This is usually happened whenever you clear your site system cache, and then once it finished building the new cache it goes down to 40MB. Is this what happen with you or there's something else?

    Well Randy's point is correct.

It's completely incorrect because this is exactly what happens when someone gets involved in another person's personal matter; they start mixing things up and explaining things as they want.

My criticism is not directed at the lack of self-hosting development or at comparing it to cloud plans. My complaint was that you guys were working really hard to add new cloud features even though there were several open bugs for many months that had not yet been fixed.

If you are experiencing a bug in the software that is impacting your community, please contact support. If you have a support request that is unresolved, feel free to directly contact a member of staff and let us know the topic or ticket.

We already did that, and the only information we receive from IPS staff is that the reports are still open. Furthermore, several issues that went unnoticed were reported by great third-party developers along with the fix in order to make it easier for the IPS developers' team.

As of today, I have been with IPS for 18 years. I am really proud of the entire team and all that they have accomplished, and I will always support IPS. It is unfair that anytime someone offers assistance, his efforts and suggested solutions are ignored since there have recently been so many issues that they may sometimes be overwhelming especially whenever we see that you do have a deadline to release cloud new features, and yet several bugs report that been opened. A bug report that has been open for more than three months and is still unresolved, in my opinion, is unreasonable.

  3. I understand what it means. What I said about made up and genuine is completely different sentence to explain the matter.

I just speak my mind.  I call a spade a spade when I see it.

This is a major problem, especially when someone can't help but become involved in other people's personal matters when no one has asked him to.

You have a nice day. 🙂

If you’re going to toss out a snarky message, expect to see some push back.

It's not a snarky message as you are trying to show everyone. Everything I just said is genuine and not something I made up, so please mind your own business and stay out of other people's personal matters. Once more, nobody hires you to represent them.

Live Topics is almost ready for its beta release! In December last year we mentioned this new feature coming to the suite and it is definitely something many communities will benefit from. I promise we will provide more details soon!

How about more information on the bugs that have been reported and unfixed for more than 1.5 years and others that been reported for several months? Or the management main focus now is the cloud and its new features?

  6. Just for the record I have found my comments where I reported this issue on July 25, 2021, and today is almost Feb 1st, 2023. I did before my comment in here on July 25, 2021, opened a support ticket where IPS stuff didn't even investigate this issue and blamed the third-party apps/plugins.

This issue has been reported for 1 years, 6 months, and 7 days as of today, and it is still not addressed even though @Colonel_mortis found what causing it.

How long the problem will remain unfixed is unknown. @Matt

  7. Could contain: Text, Page

The reported content doesn't show any moderated actions that applied to the reported topic or post.

    For example:

If you hide the post/topic, the "Hide" word doesn't change to "Unhide" or even show the hidden eye icon next to the title in order to inform the staff that the post/topic is hidden. Also, that apply to delete action. It doesn't change to "Restore" or show that the post/topic was deleted.

  8. Example:

Since there are many members who's following the IPS release notes page https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/ we do receive notifications whenever they create a new release note, but whenever they edit the title especially during the beta versions releasing, we don't receive anything.

Could contain: Page, Text, Face, Person, Head

It would be nice if we have an option to send a new notification whenever the title is edited/updated.

Example: Stuart Silvester updated a release Release Notes: 4.7.7 Beta 3

This one is IPS support section vs community support is this one:  https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/406-community-support/

Go read each topic posted in here, and you will find that at least more than 35% of the topics are solved by IPS clients not IPS staff team. Also, if it was a bug, someone else could confirm it or even find out what causing the reported issue.

    Examples:

This is why this forum is open to everyone, and if IPS wants to make private, it would just take them few clicks to do so. By the end of the day in here is a community like anywhere else, and we are just trying to help.

I hope you will find your solution.

Can i pls suggest to open your own support request? I don't want your issue to get mixed with mine. Thanks.

My apologies, I am just helping you and IPS by confirming that we have the same issue. Also, this is a public support community not private.

Anyway, I won't interfere with your support topic. 🙂

You have a third party application related to members that requires updating. Please update that then see if that helps correct your issues with background tasks.

If you notice, there are members who didn't validation their email address since 2005 (18 years ago) where we had zero third-party plugins or apps. We started using third-party since 2018. That app you mentioned wasn't even installed and it has nothing to do with background tasks, and it's to follow and track members.
