Matt got a reaction from AlexJ in Sign in with Apple
Given that it was only announced last night, we probably need a little more time to find out the details.

If it's something we can bring to Invision Community, we will do.

For me Invision Community is the software I started using way back when the version number was 1.x. It's constantly improved, reliable and easily extendable. You can build what you need without programming knowledge using resources on the Marketplace, advice on on official forums and help from really supportive community. That paired with quick, proffessional and reliable support makes it a solution which is a pleasure to use for both the users and the staff.
(Suffice to say I've tested phpbb and various modifications, smf, vb... stuck with Invision, even when it went commercial I've bit the bullet and bought the license - never regretted it.)

Sales figures mean nothing sadly. There's little point investing a lot of energy into a system that does not work on one of the top two phone platforms.
I think we're on Web 5.0 by now.

I would agree, other than push notifications which require an app for iOS.

For push notifications on iPhone, you need an app downloadable from the App Store. There's no way to push notifications to iPhones in any other way.

Matt got a reaction from sobrenome in rebuild content in order to use lazy load? WHY?
Why does this need to happen?
    -  To replace data attributes in the HTML source stored within posts.
What exactly will happen if I rebuild my content?

    -  A background task chugs through your posts to replace the data attributes.
What happens if I choose no?

    - New posts will lazy load, old ones will not.
can I change my mind later if I choose yes? Can I change my mind if I choose no?

    - Yes, switch it off and then back on again.
I have over 1 million image attachments. Should I be worried?

Nope. Images are not touched or rebuilt in any way. Just the HTML markup in the database.

    Hi all,
I have a request that will only take a few minutes of your time, and will give you something in return.
We're finally getting around to creating books and guides to help new customers get comfortable on the Invision Community platform.
I'm looking for a few positive quotes and 'soundbites' we can use on a few pages around the site, on social media and in these guides.
Hopefully you've got nice things to say. @LaCollision gave us a very nice quote a while back.
    So things like:
That sort of thing. If you have a specific use for Invision Community, then we'd love to hear from you.
If you are happy to leave a comment, please also leave your name and URL to your site.
If the site is safe for work, then we'll link back to it when using any quotes on our site and on social media.
We get a fairly health bit of traffic so I'm sure you'll get a good number of click throughs too.
If we get 20 useable quotes, I'll post an exclusive picture of Charles and Lindy holding a hotdog from 2008. I did not seek their permission before making this promise.
    Thanks for reading!

Matt reacted to Cannabis Connect in Quick request if you have 2 minutes...
Our software team members have spent over 5 years assessing the top Professionals' Networked Community (PNC) platforms which are used to deploy business-related discussion forums. We thought that we had seen and tried all of the best. But then we came across Invision Power Services (IPS). This PNC gave us a whole new appreciation for the state-of-the-tech. The bottom line: we scrapped our prior investment and have moved to IPS. We couldn't be happier and look forward to making a huge business impact with the global Cannabis Connect Value Chain standards bodies that we're about to publish for numerous countries that want to jump on our bandwagon at https://www.chchains.org/.

I'm going to side with @opentype on this.  From a community management perspective, you're ignoring the root of the issue.  You're allowing the member to continue to make bad posts (which honestly anyone can read in an open forum), you're just literally sweeping the issue under the rug by not letting anyone be notified of the issue.  But anyone can still read the posts if they want.
With that said, I'm not opposed to letting you choose how you want to moderate.  More power to you in your community.  That's why we all run our own communities, right?
I think, in general though, a lot of admins try to let technology replace the human elements of moderation.  You know, talking to the member, understanding his concerns, and being brave enough to tell him to stop being a dick.  Technology has allowed us to sidestep these human confrontations when they probably should be addressed human to human (keyboard to keyboard?).  In an office, you can't just put someone on mute.  You would pull him aside and address his behavioral concerns.
