We support Microsoft Edge, the browser that Microsoft currently supports.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Explorer
Internet Explorer stopped receiving material updates in 2016. It no longer works with Microsoft Teams as of Nov 2020, and will not work with Microsoft 365 as of 2021. In other words, Microsoft doesn't even support this browser for their own major web-based products.
Frankly...we can't move forward with technology if we continue to support the past forever and ever. Specifically in this case, we migrated to using CSS variables which is a major major overhaul of our design system allowing for easier theming, more flexibility, better cohesiveness across the entire site and many more features, but is a feature which Internet Explorer doesn't support (because, again, it hasn't received material updates in 4 years).
We don't support any other browsers released 4+ years ago either for the record.

I was just about to come here and say this.  Why would people use extremely outdated software that is no longer supported even by its creator and then complain about other systems not supporting it?
I understand the workplace perspective, but I'm assuming if the site you're trying to view can't be viewed properly on IE, then it's probably not something you're expected to be looking at while working.  😋
Once Edge rebuilt itself on chromium, I never heard another thing about IE.  To be frank, I didn't even know IE still existed or was available for download...  🤨

Just to note, we did list this change in the deprecation section for 4.5. We always recommend reviewing the release notes, especially for major releases.

Aren't people who use IE11 used to most of the Internet not working correctly? I mean it's not like it's just us who have said no more to 2003 😉
Or maybe they don't realize most things either do not work right or are otherwise not 100% on IE11? Either way: we are moving forward not looking back and it's not really our responsibility to "warn" people that they are out of date.

Even Microsoft will not support IE11 (or legacy Edge) in any way from next year, including in its own products like Teams. Other major sites like Twitter are starting to drop any support too. It won't be long until you'll struggle to use the web on IE11. Technically we have not supported it for a long time, but because we held back on modern CSS features, it still mostly worked. For 4.5, we decided now was the time to press ahead with improvements and drop support ourselves.
By dropping support, we've been able to use newer CSS features that benefit designers (and therefore site owners), simplify our theme (with more improvements to come), and we'll also be able to begin the process of modernizing our javascript.
If your community has a significant percentage of IE11 users due to your audience, you may prefer to stay on 4.4 (though that, understandably, has drawbacks too). If you're just an individual IE11 user, I would strongly suggest using a newer browser - literally any of them would be a better choice.

Thanks buddy - think I've got reproduction steps for something refined a bit. Might tag you again later to do the same again.

    Hello @Karina Harumi
    To have a clickable image:
Upload the image of your choice, then insert the photo in your post (you can do that but clicking on your attachment, which will add it into the post). Highlight your image the same way you would highlight text in the editor. While your photo is highlighted, click on the link icon in the editor, and add the URL of your choice.  At the end of your URL, add the following, which will ensure that a new tab window will always be used /"target="_blank

Hello @Matt Finger and welcome to Invision.  @Jordan Invisionis new, too, so you both have that in common.  I hope your career with Invision is a productive and successful one.
While I am sure new features are what most people want, and I hope to see that too, I am hoping you focus on bug patching and optimization. Because actual human progress is both seeking to advance progress while improving upon what is. I look forward to watching your productivity unfold in future releases.
Again, best of luck with your continued endeavors and welcome. 🙂

Hey team, I’d love for you to give a warm welcome to Invision Community’s new developer, @Matt Finger
You want some sweet sweet Achievements addons? Then be extra nice to him 😉
So you can get to know Matt F better, I held a mini-interview with the 20-year-old developing prodigy. I said what I said.
When he’s not coding, he’s cooking, fixing things (like cars, bikes, electronics, etc) and reading up on science, physics and philosophy.
After asking him about his hobbies, I cut to the chase and asked him about his passion for coding and a few of his past experiences with it. He flexed his knowledge of philosophy right away.

    🤯🤯🤯

He continued: “That being said, we're faced with the question of, 'how to improve upon one's ability to reason?' We improve upon our ability to reason the same way we can get better at most things: do it over and over again while challenging yourself more and more each time. And in the case of our ability to reason, problem solving and solution finding is, in my experience, the best way to challenge our ability to reason, therefore making it most conducive to increasing said ability to reason, in turn allowing ourselves to achieve our true potential. And software development persistently presents new problems to solve and solutions to find a great way to flex our brains and get better at reasoning.”
“So to sum up, to me, developing is more than writing code, it's more than solving problems. It's a way to achieve my true potential as a human being.”
    “Plus it's fun.”
Welcome to the fam, Matt F!
