Yes, that will still work if the resource has the update check URL populated and the author has their side of it implemented.

My goal is to provide a listing directory to make it easy for developers to list their apps.
A directory will provide visibility, scale, and ease for everyone to visit.  
Developers will handle payments and support on their own.  

The fix was to remove the IPS provided key option from the UI in API.  It basically requires you to provide your own key from now on and does not give an option to use the old IPS key.  So anything already broke would have to still get their own key.  🙂

So, it's official: it is my ISP.  I downloaded a VPN to test out, and it let me back in.  Something in my ISP got the site blocked.  Thanks to all, especially @Runar, for the help!

fixed user account settings issue where "Display quotes as" setting would always display as "Fully collapsed" even though a different setting had been chosen prior to saving. fixed issue where a "too many recursions" Javascript error occurs if someone has happened to post a quote within a quote.

Doubt it - it's just a visual issue in the settings. The above information now indicates that it doesn't work for you when you said it did.
When the new version is released, test it and provide me with clear steps to reproduce the issue.

You have to run those queries from SSH (command line). Don try to run them from phpMyAdmin, as they'll most likely timeout.

Oh, okay. If the backup is a "full cPanel backup", your host needs to restore that. If the backups are individual files (SQL for the database and TAR for files) you can restore them yourself. However, based on your post, it doesn't seem you have done this before.
If you ever need to restore the backup it would be best to simply contact your hosting and they should be able to assist.

OK - while I cannot reproduce this, there is an improvement I can make with the "Hide ignored quotes" setting that moves the removal of the quote to the back-end processing instead of front-end Javascript, and that will be in the next version of the application.
I also do not see any issues like this - test it out on the new version when it is available, and get back to me if still a problem (I will need some reproduction steps, in a clear format, to follow)

It would be nice if Invision would stop blocking it. It is something I pay for to help with my messy grammar.
 

It's not stupid at all.  What you would do is install the site in a different location (such as test.yourdomain.com).  Create a different mySQL database, username, password...  and upload all of the files into that location.  When you run the installer, call test.yourdomain.com (or www.yourdomain.com/test).  Enter the new blank database info for it.  For the license key, just enter your existing key plus "-TESTINSTALL" at the end.
Meaning if your key was 123456-789012345, you would enter 123456-789012345-TESTINSTALL as your key.  
See the following guide for details.  
 
Once it's installed, you have a new/vanilla IPB install.  Just install the same 3rd party resources, themes, etc.  You can use it to test things before doing it on your live site.  

It might look scary but as long as you follow the steps mentioned above there shouldn't be too many issues. Hopefully none at all. Good luck with the upgrade. 🙂

I'm going to hazard a guess that you are asking if the approval was done - yes, it was...2 weeks ago.
If you are relying on me posting in here to say it has been approved then please don't as I won't - I'll post once to say a release has been submitted.
If you require a notification when a release is actually available (has been approved) then go to the resource and click the "Send me version updates" link located on there and you'll get a notification.

v2.2.0 was approved recently and is now compatible with IPS 4.7.x
v2.2.1 is currently pending approval, and the only change is to remove the 'Max' on the "Number of lines to show in truncated quotes" setting, as it no longer appears to be an requirement to have it there...a bigger number can now be used.

This is definitely a much needed feature. My Staff would love the ability to schedule posts in advance. Seems like it would be an easy implementation. Swap it out with that scheduled unlock feature which I can't fathom ever having a use for.
