That's something I've thought about and would like to do, but it's challenging. If a site had some major database issue one day, the log file could easily be 20MB in size....that would be difficult to handle resource-wise from the ACP, not figuring in things like pagination and what not.

It would be nice if these errors could be viewed from the ACP--I had to look up an error yesterday while doing some testing. I was already in the ACP, but had to jump into a shell to take a look at the cgi file .

Well adding something like "If you are the administrator of this forum please check the error logged in the cgi file inside your cache folder" would at least help a bit I think :ermm:

A lot of peoples still post something like "I get IPS Driver Error doing that, how can i solve it?"

And then every time the answer is "Look for the real error saved in a cgi file in the cache folder".

If that error is going to be displayed in that same way also in IPB 3 i suggest you to add a small line below it like "Real error is hidden for security purpose, to see it check the cgi file in the cache folder" or something similar anyway. That should stop a lot of useless topics with "IPS Driver Error" as title

haha :D Few days for IPS = are 1-2 months
Well, i can see the Tracker issues in IpBoard 3 are almost finished.. a few "days" now and we get IP.Board 3 final ! ^^

Why should they release RC2?? Isn't the next Final version!!??
After RC2, we get RC3 and RC4 and so on...thats kinda waist of time??

We never give 'fake' release dates, when we do give dates, they are based on the best information we have available at the time. I would also say that we are not far off from the June estimated release date.

Yeah, I've seen it and was able to use a part of it. Good example if I was going to port something over but I am going to do all new coding for everything and it doesn't tell how the member data is loaded/displayed to the forums.

Great to see a RC, but its still so slow! 7.3866 sec when clicking on a topic to read it just now. I thought the slow speed was originally explained as being down to the content from IPB v2.3.x being converted to IPB3.0, but its still slow to me after all these weeks since this board was upgraded. Apologies if this has been explained elsewhere, I don't find chance to visit often and I'm assuming this forum is running on a very fast server. Also the signature box is still enabled by default but its hidden when using Fast Reply - grr!.

The whole point in paying the renewal for the license is that free upgrades are included in that package.

For the record, if you are insistent upon paying for 3.x separate from your license I can forward you my paypal email. I don't mind, really.

They do, but you shouldn't judge by what you see here on the forums alone. :) He could have a perpetual license and not require support, for instance. Or his client area account could be under a different email address.

Is the first RC always this bad? What I mean by that is, there are just so many errors after upgrading from 2.3.6. I honestly don't know where to start when it comes to reporting bugs to the the tracker... This is my first time to be around during the Beta and RC phase, so I'm just wondering if this would be considered "normal"
