Chris027 reacted to Randy Calvert in Your PHP memory limit is set to 32 MB but should be set to 128M or more.
A couple of notes… are you editing the right php.ini? Check your phpinfo output for what is actually being processed by scripts.
Do you have any other INI file being loaded setting memory limits? (such as inside a conf.d folder)

OK let me see if I can replicate this error. Meanwhile, thanks for the debug.

Chris027 got a reaction from SeNioR- in PHP8 will be the minimum version from November 2022
I just switched my server from PHP 7.4 to 8.1 then upgraded to IPS 7.4.3.
If anyone is wondering, my CRON calls /usr/bin/php ...
That's just a link to the currently selected PHP version. I switch PHP versions using the following command on Ubuntu. It shows me the options (versions of PHP I have installed), and enables selection.
sudo update-alternatives --config php

OK @InvisionHQ I found the issue. When I have the option to Show other adverts from the same category enabled, everything works perfect.
As soon as I disable this option, I get the template error.
This one also causes the template issue, but only when it's disabled.

yes, but you need to check the right template that generate the error.

If revert button is active then the template was modified.

How to manually patch it yourself - at your own risk...
Assumptions made:
You are self-hosted You know how to use FTP You know how to edit a PHP file The only file involved here is /applications/classifieds/sources/Advert/Advert.php Steps:
Download that file to your PC Open it in an editor (Windows -> Notepad will do) Find the line that has public static function getItemsWithPermission( in it Add ,$location = NULL inside the closing bracket - immediately after $showMovedLinks=FALSE Save the file, upload back to server If it doesn't work, then disable the app and wait for the developer to get to it.

Just go to your site and put /admin at the end

Chris027 got a reaction from Markus Jung in Feedback about the new search bar
Nice to see this in the newest release - "Changed the default search option to 'Everywhere' for the default app otherwise it's app specific."
It's a step in the right direction. I still think giving us the ability to use it how we want is the idea step.

Ideally yes, we could choose.

Chris027 reacted to Afrodude in What Elasticsearch version is supported well?
@Andy Millne what about Elasticsearch the available version now is 8.4.2, yet IPS 4.7.2.1 still cannot run anything more than 7.0 version less than 8.0.

I totally agree with this, other clients have the same concern as well...
I developed a little plugin to overcome this by allowing admins to select the default search area, not sure if IPS will approve it or not (Now awaiting MP approval).

One additional follow up comment on this after using it for a couple weeks.
I hate it and it makes no sense to me. When people in my community search for something, they couldn't care less which part of the site it comes from. they want information about the topic of the search. Plus, they have no clue that my platform, IPS, has different sections titled Pages, Topics, etc...
We need the ability to tailor this search bar to our own needs.

I think the real solution to this is to give us the flexibility to set it how it best fits our communities. One size never fits all.
