Ok, I just didn't want all those new applications to install next time I run the upgrade

They won’t install unless you actively click to install them in the admin cp

  2. If you had to do that, it seems that you may have had it set in your conf_global.php file to true, when in fact it hadnt been converted. If you have any further issues on this, set it to false and you will see the converter show up in the support area of your admin CP, and it will allow you to do the above automatically

dear marc, php8.1 is not in the official debian repositories. they (our admins) hate it when we install php with using sury. most likely because safety and other standards. when you officially support only 8.1 (and when we have problems like my colleague described above) we can't use the 8.2 debian php package and have to install 8.1 from sury. or the admins have to build an own package. i think ipb/ips is the only software package we use which forces us to do such things.
i hope you are well, best regards.

Sorry to hear that is the case. As mentioned, we are indeed providing support for PHP 8.2 in our next major release of the platform.

just to let you know: for us and especially our admins, it would be helpfull if you could synchronize the supported php version with the one supported by the actual stable debian packages.

Im a little confused by this. Are you saying they dont support php 8.1 and 8.2?

  6. The reality there is, given it works everywhere but your site, and if you have tested with no 3rd party involved at all, and you can upload fine when its not uploading in another format, it can only really be when your server converting the file. While its odd its happening both on GD and on Imagemagick, its  the only conclusion that can really be made here, as It's the only thing different
