Stu is correct, in 99,9999% we'll reject it, BUT it's also OK to use an existing storage handler likeย core_Theme in few cases like uploading a watermark image, logo or any other use cases where it's not worth to have an own file storage extension and database table and all the other logic, as long as you take care of ALL the logic like removing the file when the plugin is removed, updating the path when the files were moved or the storage handler was changed.
We have also logic in place ( see Application::uploadSettings() ) to register the settings so that the framework takes care of everything.

Anyway, it is not as important as ability to better style the countdown area, with ability to add a background, borders, etc.
Maybe just custom style per countdown?

    Hello,
I'm afraid not. using full editor/image upload in plugin resource type is proved to be complicated compared to developing resource as app or theme.
    ย
Sure. like i said, if it was app or theme, it would be easy but countdown widget is developed as plugin and I'm afraid this type of resources have their own limitation and difficulties for ease of development.
So at least for now still using HTML text area for this.

    Happy Hump Day! Sort ofโ€ฆย
I have a bit of news to share with you: this will be my last Hump Day as I am stepping down from Invision Community. ๐Ÿ˜ขย
I am transitioning to a new role at Amazon. Iโ€™ll be creating content and engagement solutions for AWS.ย
Iโ€™d like to take a moment to thank this community for welcoming me with open arms. When I first started my journey as an Invision Community team member, I focused on community advocacy and connecting clients with the team. We quickly realized my, um... exuberance was better suited in marketing and sales.ย
Creating content around Invision Community opened my eyes even further to how brilliantly crafted this platform is and the team behind it.
I've also genuinely enjoyed communicating with industry professionals every day who showed interest in adding a community component to their business.
So many incredible Achievements (๐Ÿ˜) happened along the way; Iโ€™m grateful I was a part of Invision Communityโ€™s success as we blazed through the 20-year anniversary. ๐ŸŽ‰ย
Now, you wonโ€™t be rid of me entirely. My own community, BreatheHeavy, will still remain on the Invision Community platform. I look forward to staying connected with all of you here!
Thank you for engaging and interacting with me these last few years.ย
Please feel free to PM me here if you have any feedback, questions or well wishes. ๐Ÿ˜ƒย
I want to give a special thanks to @Charlesย for being my mentor and seeing potential in me (even when I didn't).ย
And before I go, hereโ€™s a list of updates and changes made to the platform in the last seven days:

    Thank you, ๐Ÿ™ย

I'm so sorry everyone! I was trying to get through some older content yesterday so didn't mean to alarm anyone. The majority of topics and posts in the moderation queue are from some time ago but I am now on the tail end of it so you shouldn't be receiving many more notifications.
Well thank you very much, I really appreciate it!
Thank you very much and apologies for the slight heart murmur, haha.
The team have been amazing and those that I have spoken to already come across like I've known them for years. It's good to be here!

    Hello Invision,
For easier modding, please consider giving every parent elements in IPS Default Theme unique IDs, or any type of attribute to distinguish them. time and time again in the past, I hadย  problems for modding, and anchoring to CSS selectors in templates. most of the time find a way to get around, but sometimes in one template there are just several exact element with same CSS selectors used asย parent for different sections. these parts without any given ID is virtually impossible to anchor and causes repeats. if all parent elements given it's own IDs or again any type of attribute to make them unique, that just make a big help and can be use in all sorts of ways.

I'm not sure if I understood this new category for additional links means, but if you want to make "menu links" in additional links area, you can use IPS guide to do it. with little tweak it is possible to add menu links in there like your screenshot in second post.
For example, you can add this code as a link in additional links area:
    <a class='mvnMobileNav_mobileNavMoreLinks' href='#mvnMobileNav1_menu' id='mvnMobileNav1' data-ipsMenu><i class="fa fa-question fa-2x"></i>Menu</a> <ul id='mvnMobileNav1_menu' class='ipsMenu ipsMenu_auto ipsHide'> <li class="ipsMenu_item"> <a href="#"><i class="fa fa-question"></i> Link 1</a> </li> <li class="ipsMenu_item"> <a href="#"><i class="fa fa-question"></i> Link 2</a> </li> </ul> It is possible to add more menu links with same code, with one change per link... just change the number of those mvnMobileNav1 ๐Ÿ‘

Adding custom icons is a bit tricky in Invision platform, but I will try to add some more options in future updates.
At the moment, there are pre-set icons and there is no option for add custom icons through theme setting. however all pre-set icons are listed in "_mvn_peacock_fonticons.css" and you can see how they work. for navigation links, for now best way is adding CSS class like this:
.ipsNavBar_primary a[data-navitem-id="xx"]:before {content: "\Fxxxx";} for data-navitem-id, you can find id of a link like this:

Well in this case I'm not sure it is even technically possible, since a Plugin/App will assign resources in all installed themes without exception. so if you want a plugin feature modify in a specific theme, the only way is manually edit plugin resource in that specific theme.

No, as of now there is no option for height of main navigation. not a fan of having 2 line buttons in mobile view, but I think with option for height, it's possible to have multi-line titles as well. it will be add in next updateย ๐Ÿ‘
As of now, you can add this classes in your custom.css
    .mvnMobileNav_mobileContents { height: 60px !important; } .mvnMobileNav_mobileNavBcolor { bottom: calc(60px + 10px) !important; } You can change those 60px to higher numbers if that is needed.

    Hi,
As you mentioned, the new update for this plugin is now available. and with that, you can have any other links to display as default ones in main navigation as well.
here the default links and arrangements for plugin:

    ย
and here the totally customized links in their stead.

    ย
To make customization is simple and not sure how you forced to still use default links. for example, when you deactivate default link 1 (or Home link), you see new options being shown to display alternative link. like in the screenshot that you send. Title, Link and a FontAwesome class. new alternative link will be replace to default one.
Such options exist for every other link so as I posted last screenshot, I have totally different links and icons in main area.

Basically it is swipe when user work with this in mobile/tablet. but yes, it is scrollable and can add unlimited links in it. in next update there will be style option to display these link as swipe/scroll or show all. ๐Ÿ‘

    ย
About demo link, I have updated this in resource page in marketplace, here but unfortunately I can't edit my posts. seems permissions for this are not granted anymore.
    ย
    Thanks for purchase.
As I said in previous posts, current version have limited options regarding links, but all sort of customization will be added in next update. those you asked in previous posts and also in this post are also implemented.
Regardless of this, if you want refund please send me PM. there will be no problem. ๐Ÿ‘

For adding additional links, currently it is only possible to give the plugin a URL and Title for each link. this will change in next update. which make it possible to give every link, it's distinct font Icon, size, color... and it also to some extend for main area links as well. I don't have any ETA for release but yes, it will be soon. ๐Ÿ‘
