  1. I only ask this because I have been guilty myself.... but did you check the Spam folder? 😄
  2. Support for self-hosted clients is provided right here in this forum. It's currently after hours. While someone at Invision might happen to read this tonight, they usually aren't actively monitoring until they open in the morning. At least it's running on the front end. I don't think it's going to be easy to upgrade from 3.3 to the latest release. You're gonna have to jump through some hoops.
  3. This is true on my well-established, long running board. I've spoke to a lot of members who visit and go straight to the Unread Content section of the Activity Feed, bypassing everything else.
  4. BUG: If you have a forum where a Guest is allowed to post, then when the Guest submits his post the Auto-Welcome script will try to send an email to Welcome the Guest. The only problem here is that the Guest's don't provide email addresses, so the Email will returned as Failed: Missing recipient address.
  5. Maybe try this... AdminCP > Settings > Login & Registration >Registration > Standard Registration Choose "Redirect to an external site" and enter the URL of the other registration page? I have no idea what's going on here. The pop-up appears for a second and then the page reloads.
  6. I just looked. It seems that you can only "Copy to Database" the first post in a thread, but not individual replies.
  7. I could load this last night. But I cannot this morning This link works for me. You seem to have a lot of members posting just fine. I was also able to access your AdminCP's login screen.
  8. I think this inordinate fear of Invision abandoning self-hosted clients is way overblown. This is probably due in part to truly evil companies like Quickbooks who literally forced the majority of their desktop users to the cloud. The difference is Intuit/Quickbooks have proven themselves to be greedy bastards. The Invision staff on the other hand have proven themselves to be reasonable and accommodating.
  9. It's activated. But I did cause an issue previously... https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/475372-i-screwed-up-my-community-hive-already-and-cant-undo-it/?do=findComment&comment=2953058 I thought this was resolved, but maybe this issue is connected.
  10. I see there is a new Community Hive Block. I've tried to put it on the Index page, Articles page, Downloads page, Gallery page, etc, and it always tells me "This block cannot be displayed here". So where can it go?
  11. ... and the forum is used for comments instead of the Pages database, the view count should be the combination of views on the forum version and views on the Records version. After all, it's the same material. The forum posts always say at the bottom "View full article here" but that's kind of monotonous because the post contains the full article also. There's no way for the post to just be a snippet.
  12. When Community Hive was announced a couple weeks back, I signed up under my personal email. Today, when I upgraded to 4.7.13 and enabled Community Hive, it created another account with my community admin email. I disabled Community Hive and deleted the (admin email) account, thinking I would just repeat the steps but enter my personal email instead, so that I would only have one account for both following and managing communities. However, when I try to Enable Community Hive again, I am taken straight to settings. I am unable to enter an email address or create an account again at Community Hive. I need to somehow completely erase C-Hive so I can start all over.
  13. Currently they are... Everyone can see this album Only the owner can see this album I want to choose who can see this album It would be better if it were like this... Everyone on the web can see this album Only Registered Members can see this album Only the owner can see this album I want to choose who can see this album The reasoning is that some members don't mind their sharing their photos with fellow community members, but they don't want it exposed to innumerable random guests perusing the site.
  14. Sounds like it went well. I just did 2 migrations. One was small, and it was easy enough to do a full site backup in Cpanel and Restore it in DirectAdmin. The other forum was huge and didn't have enough room for a backup, so we had to copy it over in pieces. This was very slow and we had a lot of downtime but it worked.
  15. You have to use the plugin "Post Numbers" or something like that. It took a long time to wean some of my users off that, but I'm glad I finally did. The one hiccup with it is that the number you see as a Staff member and the number regular members see will differ if there are Hidden posts in that thread. Then it can get very confusing if people are referencing post numbers. It's better to have them use the Quote/MultiQuote feature instead.
  16. @Joel R is taking the lead in creating a central location where all devs can list their apps in an organized, marketplace-like, structure. I'm sure there will be still be a developers forum here where such apps can be announced and discussed as well, just like on every forum software providers site.
  17. I hope you consider it in the future, even as an additional paid add-on.
  18. This is brilliant, and I hope it gets implemented. Currently clicking on an achievement takes you to your profile page. That would be sufficient to mark it read. OR, it could take you to a page that lists the various types of achievements and what is required to obtain them.
  19. This won't be a big deal. I'm assuming there will be a forum here where 3rd party apps will be introduced, discussed, and possibly even supported. You just have to go off-site to purchase and obtain them.
  20. This means no more sexy lonely women using the Contact Us form, lol
  21. This is worth noting, actually. I'm not a developer, but I think I remember seeing something about a non-compete clause with Marketplace submissions. For example, when it was announced Status Updates were going away, there was concern that current Marketplace rules would prevent a developer from creating a Status Updates application. Invision responded that they would alter the terms so such an app could be created. Well, here's the altered terms, lol. With no central Marketplace, developers can create anything they want, even if it does what the core software pretty much already does, but perhaps with a different enhancement or twist.
  22. I would like to ask why the structure of the Invision Marketplace couldn't still exist here, but instead of financial transactions and downloads being handled by Invision, just remove the commerce aspect of it and just let it be a "Downloads" directory with hyperlinks back to the author's site. The author could still update the application or theme's description, changelog, and compatible versions here at Invision, and the client would still be able to shop around here where they feel comfortable, and if they find something in your [former] Marketplace, they click through to the authors personal site. Downloads allows for URL submissions as it is. Why not retain that directory of applications here? What Joel is proposing to do, you could set up in a short amount of time and then it would be almost on autopilot. An existing Invision directory would only increase exposure to the applications that 3rd party devs have created and sell.
