I wish I could use any 3rd-party to send out bulk mails only. The number of bulk mails is fully on my control. All other mails - not and can probably explode my cost.

Sorry, I should mention that I set mine up on a subdomain of my main domain, e.g. mail.mydomain.com - this gives you the flexibility you need.

Another excellent service that I used before MailGun was SparkPost, but then they kicked off all the free accounts and their threshold for entry level accounts was a bit too expensive. They did have the best delivery rates I have yet seen for bulk emails. I just looked at their web page again and it seems that they have been bought by somebody else now and they don't even have pricing on their website. Interesting...

You'll have to add their codes to your DNS for the domain name (after you create an account with them) and then just add their SMTP settings to your Invision mail settings. You may have to try a few different ports, but once you get it working it works well.

I use MailGun with IPS. It integrates fairly easily and their costs are not prohibitive. I culled my member base from about 15,000 down to 1,200 over a period of a few years, because most of the people who had registered were never really engaged with the community. I suspect there were lots of legacy bot registrations from my SMF forum that got imported way back when.
I try to send out a newsletter to the 900 or so subscribed members once a month and I get a bill from MailGun every other month for about $2 or less.

We can create some really useful blocks to place on our websites using the Pages module.
Why can't we put those same blocks into our system emails? Like newsletters, for instance.

I am also relieved to have found the problem. It is curious though that it would only stop me from saving the record template and not most of the other ones I tried.

To be honest, I didn't see the option to select which license you are asking for support for when creating this topic.
Perhaps logic should be to have nothing selected by default for that field and then if it isn't selected provide a message to ask the user to please select which license it applies to, not just have one selected by default.
I look forward to finally getting to the bottom of this strange problem.

It really shouldn't take 24 hours for a response to any support request, especially if login details that were uploaded aren't correct.
If support is taking more than 24 hours to tell you that your login details are still incorrect then I'm afraid the system is broken and needs urgent review. There should be a live chat support if you are going to be charging what you do for support licenses.

Hi Taman, sorry in advance if this has been answered already but I can't find a way to search this topic anymore.
Where will I find options to change the "scroll to top" button? Is it doable from the theme settings? I want to move it to the right side and change the colour.

I just updated those details this morning and that shouldn't be the case that you can't login with the username. I am not using the email login method.
Check again now - I think I may have put the wrong password in, but you definitely don't need an email address. I just logged in with the credentials no problem.

I opened this message in the wrong place.
Everything is up to date on my IPS including the theme. When I try to edit templates in my custom databases I am getting this error:
It doesn't seem to affect every template, just the one I want to use to display the database record.
Help!

If you go ACP > System > Advertisements you should see a place to add advertisements. On this page there is a tab for email adverts.
I have tried to get this to work but it never shows my advert on the email so my stats are ZERO sends, ZERO views and ZERO clicks.
I don't know what is wrong.

Dear IPS support,
I have paid my $135 support license fee. How long should I expect to wait before I get some actual help with this issue (which persists in spite of upgrading everything to the latest version).

Would this have anything to do with the fact that the templates are stored in InnoDB? I am being alerted to this issue on the support page of my ACP. Some of the database tables are using MyISAM and others InnoDB, specifically the table that stores all the CMS templates. I tried changing this to MyISAM manually but it didn't help, so I suspect there may be a configuration problem on the hosts side. Can anybody confirm this might be the correct diagnosis?

It's very weird. I can't save anything, even if I don't make a change. I don't get the cross in the tab to indicate that a change has been made. I just see the big black dot and then when clicking the save button I see that error. It doesn't seem to happen on all the templates, just some.
I'm suspecting it might be because my theme is out of date but this doesn't make sense.

I'm trying to edit a template in one of my custom databases for the record display. I've done this numerous times in the past without issue, but now today I am getting this error when trying to save my changes. Not sure why this is.
I recently migrated to a new server but I don't think this would affect it, would it?

You probably removed permission from guests to view profiles (in System-> Applications -> click in System to expand -> Profiles). Doing this, users won’t show linked to their profiles and this will make the plugin to not work, once it adds the flag before the href of the profile URL.
This never changed. It is like that since version 1.0.0.
Aaahh.... that setting's really buried deep, but it has sorted out the flag display for guests. Thank you!

I updated to the latest version but guests are still not able to see the country flags of members. This is quite important for me.

Not sure what you mean, but it will only bulk mail your entire base if you tell it to. You do have the full segmentation filtering of member groups, date joined, last visit, etc to knock down the amount of emails you send via the bulk mail feature at any time.
Google has nothing to do with this, thankfully.
