What would be awesome during password selection to reach out and use https://haveibeenpwned.com/API/v3 as information apart of the password strength-o-meter.

That's fantastic. Only wish there  was a way to do edits to settings and have some live preview with out having to go all the way out all the way back in each time.
Perhaps some button that will take you back into  to the last used block setting.

I hope the grid view is more like Our Picks or Blog Grid vs the old forum grid that did a terrible job of truncating most forum names.

Ocean West got a reaction from The Old Man in 4.4: Recurring PayPal Payments and more with Braintree and Commerce
I submitted application to Braintree a week ago they finally approved it yesterday still waiting for the account links to the api.
They wanted a lot of info including copies of article of incorporation, i don't remember Stripe/PayPal or Square  requesting much info and have been using PayPal all along which is already established yet required additional scrutiny even though they are a the same company.
Am little leery about some things I read on their site regarding getting setup with a PCI company - seems like once you do your in for like the mafia, or at least mafia tactics. (based on watching customers jump thru hoops with their gateways)

It would be nice to see all the "NEW" 4.4 config settings - is there an ACP search to find them all?

Ocean West reacted to Joel R in Welcome to Invision Community 4.4!
I'm genuinely kind of confused as to why IPS is posting such an early announcement of 4.4.  While we're all excited for the newest version (insert more gifs here), this really is premature:
    1. You can't actually download unless you specifically request beta.
    2. You probably don't want to download since it's beta.
    3.  Did I mention it's still in beta yet?
    5. And not even late stage beta.  This is literally beta 1 with potential breaks to global template.
    4.  But whatever.  Party on.  This is like the pre-party before the preview party before the launch party, and by the time we actually get to download 4.4 we will all be so drunk and hungover from the partying that we really won't care what version we're actually using on our live sites.

what about users who are already registered but not logged in - they've already navigated to a forum and wrote a novel on a new topic or a reply will that content be preserved and added once they 'log in'

it would be clever if there was a way to instantly search for all the new ACP settings for each build. So that you can ensure that you had configured them all properly.

I started with I think was some forum that was a cgi script every post was a file on the server - blew past all quotas very quickly. Then went to UBBThreads that had a database back end - was good their till development team fractured and started a new company InteractivePHP and their product FuisonBB then development tapered off (they all had day jobs) and like many came to IPB, been happy here ever since.

When you update your Terms, or policies and require users to acknowledge this change there should also be a prompt for users who have disabled news and notification, to request if they wish to change this setting.

Ocean West reacted to sbr in 4.3: Commerce Subscription Manager
    Hi @Matt!
A big issue now is that users signed up with Paypal and Stripe (and probably other methods) have different ways of canceling their subscription.
Paypal users have to go to (by default) Store -> My Details -> Billing Agreements -> View Details -> Cancel
While Stripe users go to Store -> Manage Purchases -> Manage -> Cancel Renewals
This inconsistency is causing a lot of confusion when you have thousands of users. I know they are technically different, but for the users there should be a uniform way of managing this.
Customizing the menus is an option, but it will never give you the end-user experience you'd like. There should be a very obvious option for the users where they either cancel or suspend (if possible) their subscription regardless of payment method.

So if you had a subscription premiere level once they subscribe it could allow them to be put into a group where they could create an advertisement, as that group would be allowed to place ads. Would the ad be canceled if they cancel subscription and or downgraded?

Grid view is a nice step but I think the option to make it more dynamic to  resemble "Our Picks" would make content flow better and feel much more current.
Also the design of spotlighting only two top entries and then all other entries are static squares, seems a bit old style grid.
With Pinterest and other sites that have card styles perhaps 3 columns where the right most column (most current) gets the larger real-estate like http://mashable.com
