Ocean West got a reaction from Clover13 in Unite your community with the Events application
If you only choose a state (no city) perhaps we could swap out an image of the state instead of picking some random point on a map.
Also setting it to an Online event once you set a location it should reset the location to remove the map since its online
Or put a picture of Planet Earth. 🌎

Ocean West got a reaction from OptimusBain in New feature: moderating with personal alerts
What would be cool is if you could define a set of Stock Replies could be restricted to the alerts.
As there are some that would only ever be used in more of a private setting.

Will there be a way to inject these from an iCal Feed or third party who already maintains a calendar of events. I am doing part of this now by subscribing to a calendar into the calendar app.
What about Twitch as streaming platform?

It seems to me to if you create an activity stream for Events a person would want to look forward not backwards at past events.

Bug: - if you have more then one group of calendars and your in any view ( month/ week / day ) and try to filter it a specific calendar it jumps to the overview

Are you truly renaming the app to Events? or is this just a label ( I believe commerce is still called Nexus )

Are there settings regarding what is shown on the event front page? Because what I see so far seems to assume a lot of things. Like that there are local events and events worth searching for by location.
And most importantly, it assumes there are a lot of events. With my design communities, I always have the issue that there might just be a couple of conferences throughout the year, so the only layout that makes sense is a stream view of all upcoming events. Was that removed? Is that still possible? None of the monthly/weekly/daily options make sense for just a few events throughout the year. No one wants to click through empty weeks or months to see if something might appear later.

Great feature.
I kind of implemented my own by using the API request I have a database on another server that every morning at 9am it will make a post to a specific forum posting a Function of The Day. which is a link to the help documents. I even created a user called Function Bot, who takes credits for posting we are on day 224.

Ocean West got a reaction from NZyan in Spark more real time engagement with the Trending Content feature
Interesting article but I think there needs to be a better way to call attention WHO a feature is applicable to or perhaps the blogs should be split between self hosting or Cloud or Business & Corporate/Enterprise plans.
Landed on this page and saw the minimum version 4.7.0 - figured that was me started scrolling and didn't read the first paragraph and get to the part to go to your ACP and nothing...
Perhaps your Version numbers should include a suffix:
4.7.0 Corporate/Enterprise 4.7.0 Business 4.7.0 Creator 4.7.0 Creator Pro 4.7.0 Self-Hosted 4.7.0 Platform ( all clients ) It has to be in the headline so we know the target audience. 🙂
