Yeah I feel you. It's a tough spot for us. We want to continue being innovative and expanding the platform; this was one of those routes we delayed taking because we never want to disappoint. In a year, as we continue to build, hopefully you all can see how we were able to further develop and grow thanks to you.

Heyooo! Appreciate you offering one of the first pieces of feedback!
Truth be told, we haven't raised our prices in more than a decade. We held off for a long time because we didn't want to ruffle any feathers. I know that's not the greatest answer in the world, but we want to be as transparent as possible with all of you. We want to remain a powerhouse community platform on the Internet, and this is one route we had to take to do so. I'm here to talk things out further, or, if you'd like to PM me, please feel free to do that as well. Same goes for anyone reading this. 🙏

I like where your head is at! Yes, we will definitely be taking a look at the Help Guides and documentation, but not in tandem with the website revamp. We will need to sit down and focus solely on that project in the near future as it'll be a relatively big (but awesome) undertaking. This feedback is valuable though thank you!

That photo is really throwing me for a loop. It looks like it was taken at id software in 1996.

Haha thanks, I've actually been lurking around here for almost 2 years now as a staff member! 🙂
Yeah, this is just for the Invision site for the moment. Version 4.5 included a pretty significant redesign, so I imagine we'll stick with that for a while before doing another revamp. When that time comes, if this new design is still appealing to our visitors, I'm sure we'll use it as inspiration for a new default theme.

Huh...no surprise you're responsible for this Ehren...
Great work though!  And I didn't know you were now part of the Invision team.  Good choice, Invision - I've been with Ehren's themes for a long time now and they never disappoint!  So is this just for Invision's site or is there a tweaked default theme in the works for future releases?

Oohh, new Invision portal (is this a new default theme?)....nice and shiny! 😃
Although when I clicked on "Our Community" from the Client Area the drop-down menu was blank.
    Looks great though!

Brings me back to 3.x days - dark blue and green but differently of course.
Great job you all guys! Especially @Ehren I guess he was in charge of the redesign.
BTW got a bug here for you - the tooltip z-index 😄

LiquidFractal reacted to Jimi Wikman in Server guru help re: failed uploads?
    Could be a FastCGI issue...
Are you uploading through a form I assume, so then it could be mod_reqtimeout if you are on Apache, or the php.ini need to be adjusted (can be in root or per accoount, or both).

tables are created using the default storage engine, so switching that will indeed have the desired effect

LiquidFractal reacted to Lucas James in Setting up a forced-innoDB database in phpMyAdmin?
You need to edit the /etc/my.cnf file with following parameter under the [mysqld] section:
    default-storage_engine=innodb
Save the file and restart MySQL/MariaDB.

I've been getting these "-200" errors ever since updating to 4.6.x and I'm pretty convinced it's due to the fact that the upload progress bars are not working. This is in turn causing the browser to lose communication with the server if the upload is large enough. If the upload takes too long then it triggers the error.
This never used to be an issue with 4.5.x because the progress bars worked fine there and it didn't matter how big the file got as long as it compiled with the limits set in the ACP on the particular category.

LiquidFractal got a reaction from MediaDiGi in Drip Campaigns Support
As to your first point, unless I'm missing something, unless they've already triggered that campaign you can add any member to a campaign through their profile page on the adminCP in the left-hand column, like so:

I think your second point is a great idea - sort of like a "We miss you!" drip campaign.  I agree,
Also, @rebraf, we have a trigger for when someone purchases a subscription - not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but what about one for when a subscription is renewed?
I see the possible drawbacks, but if one has 100 (or more!) members to manually restart campaigns for, I could see that getting time-consuming and tedious.
It seems like the best strategy for this would be an email in the drip campaign with a link to a page (or, if you don't have Pages, a forum/blog post)?

Agreed, adding campaign-specific options would be great.  I believe the first option may only ever apply to purchases (thus I would make it apply only to them), though I admittedly haven't considered how anyone might use it for any of the other campaign types.

Is there a way I can introduce past memebrs into the campaign.. or maybe let's say to start a campaign when members didn't login for a period of time..let's say 3 months?
    I would like to:
    1) Create a tutorial session for users to learn how to interact with the community
    2) Remind people that haven't loged in for a while to come back.
