Yes, I will be updating Social Stream They should already have been supported (it was previously), so I'll have to take a look at that Yes.

Not at this time. Everything shows up before the main content area.
The content area you're looking at is generated by the IPS code, not by this modification. But you can add a label to that by changing the language string with the key "topic_content".

Have you resolved this? If not, I"ll take a look.
I've been offline for the last few days; it's Jewish holiday season, so my schedule is completely out of whack this entire month. Haven't been neglecting things, just haven't been working. 🙂

I'll fix this. Let me know about the previous issue so that I can do both in one shot (if necessary).

    Custom Fields anywhere and everywhere.
This application is an update to the v3 versions of the Topic Template System and the Calendar Template System.
The Template System allows you to customize anything in the suite - forums, calendars, gallery categories, blogs, etc - and to create forms for the user to populate when posting new content.
Create custom fields Group custom fields into Sets for individual containers (e.g. forums) Customize the layout of the field values when viewing content Allow multiple Sets per container to give users a choice of which form to populate Mark individual fields as required - preventing users from creating content without populating the additional fields

Yes, it's still supported and works with the latest version.

Glad you were able to figure it out! This is actually the only way to do it - I never was able to implement anything on the topic row level, as I couldn't do it generically and have it work automatically with all content items. It would have required manual template edits.
As for the label and fieldKey.... you can do that as
{$row->template_fieldKey} So for example, if you have a field with a key "field1", it would be $row->template_field1. You would do the label like
    {$row->template_fieldKey_label} Hope this helps.

Sorry. I would say "maybe in a later version" but I'm so behind schedule these days, I don't want to promise anything that I can't even begin to put on my calendar....

Email templates are basically HTML pages. So inline styling would be something like this
    <p style='color:blue;font-size:11px;'>some text goes here</p>

You want to set up your newsletter with a Manual Content piece first. You wouldn't do this in the template, you would do this when you build your newsletter content.
The download includes full documentation for this modification. Please take a look at the "Newsletter Content" section beginning on page 7. If you have further questions, feel free to PM me or post them here.

What version of IPS are you running?
    1) if you customize the view template. I do have plans to add permissions to each field, but haven't had a chance to do that yet.
    2) no.
    3) yes. I am updating my apps based on the number of purchases. This app is next in line.

A new version has been uploaded to the marketplace. This version includes tracking opens and clicks for each issue.
At the moment, it only displays the total opens and clicks on the "Back Issues" screen. I do intend to add full charts so that you can see when things were opened, which newsletters have the best rate, etc.

Optimizations for sites with a lot of hidden content Topics did not have reactions displayed. Fixed. When installed with other 3rd party apps, a template error was thrown (in some cases). Fixed.

Actually, I see he has an update on his site that may have addressed this because I wasn't on the latest version of his app. So far so good.

this means that your newsletter has some old issue that was never completed properly. Check the "Back Issues" for your newsletter and see if there is anything that is still open; if so, you can just close it from that screen.
I will have an update released soon with a few fixes, I'm just not ready yet. One of those fixes will be to kill distribution automatically after X days, so that this issue can be avoided.
Thanks for finding this. CodingJungle and I are looking into it together.

    I will fix #1.
#2 is not a styling issue. #2 is the actual editor content - it always inserts paragraph breaks around the text. If you don't want paragraph breaks, you'd need to use a TextArea instead of an editor (but of course then you wouldn't get any other formatting options).
