    Is this a bug?
    The "Add Similar Event" option allows a member to continue creating events on a calendar they no longer have access to.

    To test:
    Set up two calendars, the group the test member belongs to needs full access to both. Create an event on the first calendar using the test member. Remove the option to Add Events to the first calendar from the test members group. Confirm the test member no longer has access to create event on the first calendar but can on the second. Return to the event on the first calendar and note the member can use "Add Similar Event". Press "Add Similar Event", the member can create an event in the first calendar they should not be able to.
    If you remove the second calendar, the "Add Similar Event" option is not available.

    The only real answer here is to change hosting. Recently a few clients I help from time to time decided to change exactly because of that. It's a joke that after a whole year their "slow PHP 8 rolling" is not complete. 🙄
     
    I usually suggest finding a host with cPanel so you can simply have a full backup imported to retain all your configurations. If you want, PM me, and I can give you some more details about what the people I know did.
     
    IPS can only suggest its own Cloud packages here. 😅

    Just checked on my mobile, still the same with different members too.
    Installed it also on my test forum which is 4.7.8 beta 1 and I can see the button.  How strange is that!  Ah well, I can wait for the next release to see if it fixes it on my live site.

    Edit, cleared the cache and I can now see the button 😃

    I have to agree. Every image page refreshed. I almost would have rathered a built in slider like the main page block and if you click on the image, then it takes you to the image page. So you get internal links to image pages.
    I have a banner ad above and its not positioned well for this and doesn't play nice.

    Do you mean Guests?
    You can control some of default groups by editing the file "conf_global.php".

    Hi Adriano
    I'm seeing this error message when uploading a file to messaging all attendees.  This is on my test site which is running v4.7.7 beta 2.  No errors are being logged in the IPS System or Error logs.

    What's that saying "its the best thing since sliced bread!"
    I have used an FTP program to download the files which takes ages but using File Manger in CPanel, right click on the Forums folder then Compress gives you zipped up full file backup of the all the files.  Or even quicker open the Forums folder select the lot then exclude the Uploads folder for an event quicker backup with all the uploaded images/video etc. which is enough for a restore after a failed upgrade.
    As for database, its even easier.  Select Backup from CPanel then click on the database you want to backup, soon you get a file downloading (a compressed SQL file) of the whole database.  Easy to restore too, just use the "Restore a MySQL Database Backup" from the same place.  You can also use the same file with phpMyAdmin and import it to a new database to give you a copy.
    Because I know my way around this tool, a full back up before an update takes minutes.
    I suggest you take another look at CPanel...

    Would it be possible to get a option to set a time/date to send a Bulk Mail?  We use it to send out our newsletter and the lack of schedule options means we have to do it all live. And when I have time to get everything set for email never matches the optimum time to send that email.

    @Marc Stridgen There is another topic on this as well that didn't get a response.
    What are the chances of getting a simple "start sending at" setting for Bulk Mail?  It would make my life a lot easier in setting up our newsletter.
    We can already schedule posts, blogs and other things.

    Hi
    We sent out a couple of updates a month via the bulk mail feature, some mails in response ask the member to email a specific address but they just press reply which means the email ends up in the "Outgoing email address" inbox that can get missed.
    Would it be possible to add a "Reply To" email when creating a bulk mail?  I imagine an extra field here in the Email Details tab and it would not be required.

    Hello,
    It is not really a feature but it would be nice if the "contact us" mails were sent with the contact address as "reply to".
    I very often reply to myself (with the antispam filtering it so i don't actually see the reply...) and believe i replied to the user.
    What do you think ?
