I disabled the CWAF rule which resolved the issue.

A standard feature suggestion I would like to ask for is for Single Sign-on (SSO) integration, with at least SAML. Simple SAML can work with Azure AD, Okta, Auth0, JumpCloud, and many many others. (posting here to continue discussion from another forum but advised to post here by staff.
While I applaud you for offering this add-on service for a fee ($850), I would like to see this as a regular integration feature for Oauth and SAML. At the moment we can integrate with Google and Microsoft but it is Microsoft personal accounts, not Microsoft 365.

    Thank you for your time.
Yes, absolutely too pricey. I would like to see this added as a standard feature. We are paying ~$170 or so every 6 months, I would think that at least warrants the justification for this feature not being a "premium customization" service.

There is no off-the-shelf solution for SAML. In terms of setting it up, I assume you mean the integration on the community side and not the front end SAML instance itself. If that assumption is correct, without using a ready-made solution yes, it is quite a "pain" to add integration for SAML into the software unless you're very familiar with how SAML works and/or enjoy reading about the nitty gritty details of protocols.
There is no guide for setting up SAML; it's not something you are able to do without custom code.

Confirmed. Will release a fix somewhere next week.
In the meantime, you can leave it disabled to always show the link. It is ajaxed now so there's no extra query anymore. Query will happen only when you click in the link.

These are part of the "post before register" feature. That email is sent out when a user has posted, but not subsequently entered valid registration details. The only way in which you would be able to stop those completely, would be to switch of post before register. You can see more about this here

Before the 4.6.x update I had the button "Install Update" enabled in the marketplace for the Dreadnought theme. After I performed the IPS 4.6.x update, now I only see "Buy Now, $40" when I already own this theme. I checked and it says I am signed into the Marketplace.
Nevermind, some dummy (who shall remain nameless, lol) forgot to renew the subscription.

Would be great to have an option for using Amazon SES API like sendgrid or when sparkpost was available. I’m using Amazon SES over SMTP, but I believe using their API would be better.

    Hello,
I feel we should revisit the platform’s compliance with GDPR, in light of the latest developments and clarifications issued by the EU. Had some discussions, read a lot about this and it's clear to me that the classic Cookie strip with one button (I accept) simply doesn't cut it anymore and would make the website owner liable for not fully following the current regulations.

It's been brought to my attention from the ad network we use, that we should provide a full Consent message to every visitor of our site, and give them the option to choose which cookies, if any, they would want to be used during their visit. There are already many services out there like Cookiebot, Quantcast and OneTrust which can scan one’s site and automate the process by creating this banner. Of course even if they have limited free packages, my main concern is that there are limitations to styling, speed, translation, etc. I feel that such features must be provided from the platform itself, which must integrate the IAB Consent Framework.
A valid cookie consent banner has to look like the one Cookiebot provides, offering the ability to choose the type of cookies the visitor wants. If you’d like to see a live example, visit this page.

Two links from the Cookiebot site, which I really feel that they offer a full picture of what is the proper way to have a GDPR Consent banner in your site.
GDPR and cookies | GDPR cookie consent | Is my use of cookies compliant? Active consent and the case of Planet49 | CJEU | GDPR & ePR I’d very much like to read your thoughts on this and particularly whether such options are included in the roadmap.

Will 4.5 include support for hCaptcha?
CloudFlare just switched to it due to growing privacy concerns with Google.

I have tried reproducing the error again and again after any number of combinations, reading the same users back plus more, up to 16 users now, so I am not sure what happened if we just had a momentary fluke or what. I am sorry to trouble you. I will let you know if it happens again more frequently and try to get more information for you in that moment. But at this time, the issue appears to be resolved. I apologize for the late reply. I have been spending my time trying to replicate the issue and the good news is I was not able to, so it looks like it is working as it should on my site as well. Thank you for your time Adriano!

Thank you. Purchased and installed. I will have to figure out more of the customization features that are available as I go along and how to make it work best for us but it is looking great!

    Hi,
I just purchased Linked Accounts. Are we permitted to use it on our -TESTINSTALL license installation instance as well as our live site? The reason I ask is, right now my live site is still at 3.4.6 and will soon be upgraded to IPS 4. We are finishing our testing on the -Test installation which is not accessible to the public, just our forum staff. We have also taken our live site down in offline mode in preparation for the upgrade. We are a roleplaying community so we are very excited for this. I think we used one of your earlier free versions years ago on an older version of IPS. That is why I am very excited, as we have many users that have to maintain multiple accounts for various characters, and a few of us even have to go farther than that and have taken over the inactive players characters and turned them into NPCs as well as all the other NPCs we created ourselves for our plot. So it gets out of hand quick. (Obviously some we don't have accounts for we just post in the text, but some we do in order to keep things apart and organized). Anyway, thanks for making this wonderful script. I was hoping we could test it out on our test installation so I could show the rest of the staff and so we can get used to the new IPS 4. We have been used to 3.4.6 for a long time now. This is a big step for us. Thank you for your time.
