Hi! I've been testing this out and am very happy with it so far. Once my lists go public I'll link to them in this topic.
I have a couple of feature requests:
The option to copy topic-view styling for profile fields. For example, URL field types display as the url even when the output is styled otherwise. Also, I'm not sure if this is more complicated than copying the topic-view or just the same but support for topic-views made by other third-party items would be great. For example: Dropdown Grouped Profile Fields. Sub-lists. In the ACP, move lists to park them inset of other lists. This then outputs as a list that is accessible via a button in the description of the 'master' list, which when selected causes the 'sub-list' to appear, rather than go to a separate page.

Very cool idea. As most of our communities depend on the support of the members it would be nice for different members to offer as much support as they want. I can easily imagine setting the price of a t-shirt at the manufacture price, informing people that this is in fact the price on which the community gets 0 profit and letting them decide how much they want to pay on top. Much like donation against a product.

In some situations, I would like to
rename the bookmarked topic title, to give it more meaning to myself. A lot newbies name there topic names like "help" or "question" or... Maybe the topic inside is great, but from the outside you just don't feel what will be inside... some users are using different languages, so it would be comfortable, to add a "tag" in their own language by using individual tags, I would achieve better categorization options, folders are great (if you can name them individually) but in combination with individual tags, it would be premium Another great feature would be:
import/export bookmarks (as a list) With this feature, you would build enormous trust, as admins & users would be able to backup their bookmarks. We all know, plugins in the marketplace come and go, and if I introduce such a bookmarking feature to my community, it would be a great gain to at least being able to export my bookmark lists (private/public, category name, URL, individual tags), just in case it will stop being supported.

Email marketing / address management / mailing lists is a very big point for monetarizing a community and is totally missing as a full IPS native feature.
There already are several plugin in IPS marketplace for mailchimp, sparkpost, and also for address validation checks for bulk mails via own server. Other plugins are "Newsletters" and there also exist several variants.
But I would wish to get some IPS native features without being required to use 3rd party services.
Maybe also a plugin to connect to the byteplant API to get rid of bad emails. -> https://www.email-validator.net/email-address-online-verification-api.html
And it would be a great gain if one of the designers would develop some email template designs to choose from. We have so many designers for themes and skins, but no one ever touched email templates so far...

Can you provide a list of all the error codes and what they mean. I have a customer give me a code, but I don't show it in the logs and cannot find out what it means. I have a general idea, but would be nice to know for sure.

I've just mentioned this twice in other topics with reference to the activity streams and search functions, but I'm sticking it up separately as I really do think it's important.
The use of the reputation system in content discovery seems to be zero. Here we are, our members telling us 'this is a good post' - and we don't seem to be able to use that info. Right off the top of my head here are some ways we could be using that information:
    1) Show me posts with 10 or more likes - instantly you're getting a 'best of the board' feed
    2) Search for posts in topics with '4.1 upgrade failed', rank by likes - you get solutions or explanations of the problem
    3) Show me posts by users with over 1,000 likes - find out what our most valuable users are saying
    4) Blocks of most popular posts over the last 7/28/365 days - showcase to new members of our  best content; stuff to highlight in the newsletter
    5) Show me my highest rated posts - the ultimate ego-search. What do people love most about you?
    6) People who liked this post also liked...
    7) Loads of others, I bet
I find it remarkable that the time was taken to let us filter by number of replies or views, but not by how GOOD something has been judged to be. Major missed opportunity, IMHO.
Now, it is traditional at this point for someone to point out that actually all of these things are possible, I just haven't noticed how. Do go ahead...

    Guys, C'mon...?!
Why don’t you guys build your own, or integrate with some of the top email marketing solutions?  We have all these “enhanced” features that integrate with other services, but the one that seems to be the most obvious is strangely missing. IPB community owners need a proper email marketing solution!
With all due respect, because I love your platform other than this issue..., I don’t get how you can offer a COMMUNITY platform with, so many brilliant ways to monetize… without a proper email marketing solution available to your community owners to use.
For that matter, why are you guys not sending out regular newsletters to your customers? That would seem to be evidence that you are totally missing the necessity for email marketing for any online community system, be it yours, or your customers. Peculiarly strange?

The bulk mail system is NOT a proper email marketing system. It has limited design capabilities. It has no metrics/stats. It caps your emails out to about 200-400 a day, if you have thousands of subscribers, this is entirely impractical. It offers no ability to make forms to capture sign-ups.

    Do an integration with:
( this is a plugin for wordpress that is SUPER light and simple. But it does everything anyone needs. It covers the basics. Something like this would be perfect ).
    ... or build your own.

Any email marketing system DOES NOT have to be fancy!... All we really need are the following features:
    - A decent design interface.
    - Metrics.
    - The ability to send out thousands of emails in one send.
    - Mailing Lists.
    - The ability to make forms that can capture sign-ups in the HTML widgets that will then go straight into a mailing list.

Ones you install advanced footer it is added to all of your themes, however there are no options to show the footer on a specific theme, but you can simply use custom.css to hide the footer on any themes you want
simple, you add this to custom.css of the theme you want to hide
    .af_Container {display: none;}

    Dear @-RAW-
you might be on holiday/in vacation. We respect this and maybe you're anywhere out far away without internet connection.
But please take notice, that a lot of customers invested in using your iAwards project and are urgently waiting for a new functional update! I, for myself, invested a big amount of money and I am totally relying on your iAwards App! I engaged a special designer that created a unique design for my community (more than 100 elements), I founded and supported an "award team" consisting of 8 team member (ready to start directly), we created dozens of pages documentations about processes and rulesets for awarding, discussed with community users about enhancements, we included the awarding mechanism in the overall company master strategy. We didn't only invest heaps of money, but also months of preparation work! I'm not sure if you can imagine the whole dimension what this means in effort and numbers...
You have done such great work before. Please do not leave us alone now!
We have been paying for a long time. And while you officially offer a renewal fee AND support (on IPS and also www.invisionizer.com), I consider this as an ongoing support responsibility and a business maintenance agreement. If anybody offers software, he is somehow responsible for this.
Please help us or - at least - transfer your project to a development successor, who can go on developing, maintaining and supporting this great app! Otherwise the damage will be very high for your customers.
    Thanks!

Raw talked to me today earlier. He got some problems in his personal life and he couldn't support your resources as it should. So I will support them for a couple of months or so, until Raw got everything sorted and be able to support them again. I'm only waiting for IPS (marketplace moderator and Management) to agree to with it then I'll be supporting it.
I will require a few days to learn how this app (and the others) works. In the meantime, please list the issues with it so I can take a look.
    Thank you.

Such is the life of a software consumer. I mean, other than getting total custom work that has some way of being future proof -- which I assume would cost a lot of money -- I don't see any other way around the current reality that is the uncertainty of software development. You can't even rely on IPS to continue supporting their products.
I think one of the reasons developers aren't motivated is the customers -- yes there are plenty of people willing to spend money but do all of those people also contribute in a substantial way to these forums? Not really. What do developers face on here? A lot of fly-by customers who often make ignorant remarks in the midst of petulant complaints, mixed in with a number of enthusiastic but often incomprehensible and impatient customers who fail to understand certain basic facts about software development and how to give feedback... all along side IPS who brought a brand new codebase without a set of top class development tools to go with it, as well as failing to supply clear and user friendly communication to non-developers about some of the realities of developing for IPS that the average person might not be aware of.
Also, on top of all that, when the third-party devs do go ahead and put even more work into supporting their customers with their own sites where they can improve things in a way that is impossible on this site... what happens? They get customers blaming them rather than IPS for the currently broken state of the relationships between IPS, devs, and customers.
There are clearly still good people in the IPS community from all parts but between continued development here and stable income from actual jobs (I recall RAW recently said he has two jobs at the moment), I think I'd honestly go elsewhere.

    Suggestion:
    1) Please allow Reasons to be optional. Sometimes the description is good enough.
    2) Please allow custom sorting for awards (in the awards page), as I'm able to in the ACP (by drag and drop).

No, it's not configurable and the reason why I decided to do it this way is really simple: My admin notifications shouldn't have an opt-out feature.. Every receiver should get them and if you want to send them an email, use the bulk email feature;)

This application is using the default ips4 notifications feature. It looks like every other notification.

Both points aren't possible with IPS4. I'll see what I can do.

    Hi stoo2000,
I have some questions regarding mail bouncer.
As far as I know it currently and still only works with the bulk email API integrations by IPS, mailchimp and spark post. Right? Or can it also track bounces that originate from sending bulk mail via direct pop/smtp integrations? If it isn't possible to use the modification with other email providers than sparkpost or mailchimp, would it be possible to do a special job with new integrations for me if I would pay you for the special integration work? The EU market is very restricted and i need some professional solutions that are conform with national and EU laws. We have the problem, that we may not use email services that use servers outside the EU for privacy data. So the market for this is a concern for most EU IPS customers! I also had the quick and dirty solution idea to use mail bouncer only once or twice, for one or two bulk mailings, to cleanup my database by blocking the bouncing candidates first and then change the mailing process. Fees if things get complicated for a one-time-fault might be acceptable. And there might be new laws one time again if I wait a while.
By doing so, my question is: is mail bouncer still working (=blocking bounces), if I change to a different mailing provider after only an initial mail bouncer cleanup?
Would the recognized bounces from this onetime cleanup still be handled as "in validation", even when using a different mailing provider to send new bulk mails afterwards?

    You get the point?
1- First cleanup with mailchimp and mailbouncer once,
2- then the database went through the cleanup process, bounces are blocked
3- then I could proceed with law-conform EU mailing solutions without tracking mail bounces via mail bouncer anymore, but the blocked emails will still be handled until users change there addresses and confirm... Thx for pointing me into the right direction.

    Hi Kevin,
I think I may be beyond help here, I gave GC a second er third attempt, at configuring it again in hopes to launch it by next year. But here are the issues that I keep coming into. I fear am just trying to force this to do something it was not designed to do.
Currently i have the app disabled so I am going from memory...
    Goals
Give the ability for end users ( by permission or group ) to create personal / customized versions of apps - sub-tenants. A faux ACP for these to create and manage these groups These groups can operate independently or collective with the site the determination of the visibility is determined by end users of the site they can decide how high to build the walls, to exclude themself from content they do not share interests with. By making it an Opt-out there is more initial discovery of site wide content. Prevent anything destructive Amin has final say - if someone created a group and they tried to nuke it it would flag it and require admin approval.  Observations
The hierarchy structure of the site containers with in containers the nature of creating things needs to auto create the base level category or "parent" there are too many settings that novices could never understand. You could potentially get things messed up by not having things forced in to a parent container. - For example i moved several forms over to the GC and they were just there as forums but they were not apart of any "Category" when i moved them back to the forums they just got added back in at the root level of the site not apart of any category (or their original category, were they departed from) Thus making them invisible to the site because forums at the top level are excluded by nature -  the sort order was a jumble. Either they should be restored to their original location and position or when moving things back a new CATEGORY should automatically be created "Restored from Collab" and these items should appear grouped within) when you have a few dozen forums dropped on your forum list it's tedious to clean back up.
The discovery process is just a bit of a show stopper for me - I feel as soon as i move several categories of forums over to GC they would live in obscurity and it would take several direct clicks to even get to them. The main landing page for the GC when you have more then one categories is just two big black boxes and some text with more buttons you have to navigate to.. and then there is the the issue of having to go resource some abstract imagery to dress up the content with in.
I had noticed that you added the creation of links back in the forums but it only created links the the collab parent not to the individual groups. Leaving me to make make more redirect forums to the GC so that people looking at the forum index has a some idea they exist. - something i am trying to avoid managing the scaffolding.
    -
Here is the narrative version of what I am trying to do:  I wish have a service that i sell (or offer for free)  in my storefront (commerce) when someone purchase this service it may include adding banner advertisements. Then they get elevated to a specific group. Once there they will have their Faux ACP where they can create forums, blogs, galleries, downloads, calendars, etc. This 'affiliate' is using my site as their front end tech support that their tech staff augment the community at large to assist in solving the posters issues. moderates of this group would receive notifications of postings so that they don't forget they exist and content languishes.
Currently i have to manually setup a forum for each product the affiliate needs in their category - and the category list gets very long - but it is at least discoverable. I'd like to allow someone to manage these forums ( the text / the imagery / order / who is assigned to moderate etc. ) but don't want them to have access to the real ACP.
    - humbly Stephen

I can't promise a quick inclusion but this is something on the drawing board. The form will be placed on a custom template bit but you will have to know a bit of html to arrange the position of the fields and blocks how you want.

PM sent. The "{member_ip}" quick tag can be used for members ip. Also saved in the form logs as well. Not currently, custom fields support is just in a single column format. Open to suggestions however. I'm using the default theme standards which are mobile responsive already. Check over the demo board in your mobile, let me know if there's anything not quite right and can adjust. I'll consider it if there is demand for it. But this is the first time it's been suggested to me I believe.
