@usmf I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with email delivery. As has been mentioned, our team has confirmed email notifications are being sent. We understand you are having isolated issues with specific members. I've personally looked and it doesn't appear you have a DMARC record for your domain. This was mentioned elsewhere in this topic -- not having a DMARC record will most certainly lead to deliverability issues. 
I know you believe this is software related traced back to an update applied from October 22, but a quick cursory glance at your domain record indicates you updated DNS in October as well.
I would guess you made changes and a DMARC was not configured at that time. 
This kind of thing often happens in the self-hosted environment as not everyone has experience to manage servers, DNS, etc.... that is precisely why we offer Invision Community Cloud 🙂 
I think getting someone with some experience to help you resolve these technical issues will resolve your concern. If you still feel there is a software issue, we do offer advanced diagnostics and debugging services. This is $200 per hour with a one hour minimum. If the issue does in fact end up being directly software related, that fee is of course refunded in full.

This seems to have been maybe a temporary error as I unlocked them and was able to run them without error. Please let us know if it does come up again. It may be that there is an issue with your CRON if so. I'd suggest ensuring that PHP 8 is running on your cron task command.

Please review your cron settings, especially the path to the php executable. It seems that it's still using PHP7 to call the script!
 
 

We have two communities that were updated today -- same problem with some locked/stuck tasks that cannot be restarted. Our cron is set as usual, and we do have the updated PHP 8. Is there a fix for this?

For anyone else with this problem, here's the spot to fix this:
ACP - Members - Member Settings - Ban Settings - option in there for non-registerable names

you have a non-registerable name set as the following, that will match on that name:
*ass*

This would not be in the software but a hosting support question. 

At least on my server the uploads are scan by anti-virus software nightly for virus or malware. I'm not hosted on their cloud setup but on a VPS server I manage myself.

Some of that may have been happening, though it wasn't the main problem in the end. We do have a crawl delay but have always had. Actually, lines had been added to block certain robots. I'm not the one who handles that part of the website, but it did have certain names blocked. All that was removed and the file put back to the normal lines (which have been in place for over ten years) and after three days everything is going back to normal. Whew!

This has actually been patched. If you go to support and run the optional patch in there, it will resolve the problem for you

Before opening a ticket on this, I wanted to make sure this isn't just something obvious that I did wrong. Our forum has added a Profile Completion Step in the last month. Over the past couple of weeks, a number of members are having trouble with this -- they are on desktops and laptops, not mobile. When they have to log-in, the required fields come up. They fill them out and hit the "Submit" button. The waiting wheel spins . . . and spins . . . and spins. Several members waited a full five minutes before closing out the screen and contacting the forum staff. On those member accounts, an Admin is having to fill in the fields through AdminCP, then the member can edit them.
Is this likely an issue, or is it something I may have configure incorrectly? Thanks!
