That's an amazing opportunity - best of luck @Jordan Miller. You brought a zeal to IPS that was sorely needed and hopefully it'll continue after you're gone.

    Happy Hump Day! Sort of…
I have a bit of news to share with you: this will be my last Hump Day as I am stepping down from Invision Community. 😢
I am transitioning to a new role at Amazon. I’ll be creating content and engagement solutions for AWS.
I’d like to take a moment to thank this community for welcoming me with open arms. When I first started my journey as an Invision Community team member, I focused on community advocacy and connecting clients with the team. We quickly realized my, um... exuberance was better suited in marketing and sales.
Creating content around Invision Community opened my eyes even further to how brilliantly crafted this platform is and the team behind it.
I've also genuinely enjoyed communicating with industry professionals every day who showed interest in adding a community component to their business.
So many incredible Achievements (😏) happened along the way; I’m grateful I was a part of Invision Community’s success as we blazed through the 20-year anniversary. 🎉
Now, you won’t be rid of me entirely. My own community, BreatheHeavy, will still remain on the Invision Community platform. I look forward to staying connected with all of you here!
Thank you for engaging and interacting with me these last few years.
Please feel free to PM me here if you have any feedback, questions or well wishes. 😃
I want to give a special thanks to @Charles for being my mentor and seeing potential in me (even when I didn't).
And before I go, here’s a list of updates and changes made to the platform in the last seven days:

    Thank you, 🙏
    -Jordan

I think you mentioned that you'd do this at least 3 years ago...which is, again, why @Adlago and myself have had to start this process ourselves.

Thank you everyone, I'm sad to be leaving but very excited for what comes next. I'm sure you'll still see me around here, just without that Staff badge.

Sometimes, turning the relationship on its head and actually employing the troll can have a beneficial outcome.

    Hey Adlago,
I don't work at IPS (despite that cute cartoon avatar I have), so I'm able to tell you that you're doing it wrong. You should never have been editing the default CSS files, and it's unfortunate that the product allowed it all this time.
I assure you, you can do everything you did before. It'll be even better than before, actually, because it won't break on every upgrade.

Firstly, I should note that what you're doing is not really intended to be possible. You should be aware that if/when the frontend stack of the product is modernized, it's likely none of this will be possible because that just isn't compatible with how modern web apps are built. I know you've enjoyed this flexibility to really make low level changes but it's unlikely to be possible forever.
    That said... Could you not:
Still create your new custom css files names 1fr_global.css etc. Grab the classes using the technique I mentioned in this topic (use web inspector to get the compiled css file contents) Put all that in your custom css files however you wish Modify your includeCSS template to exclude any CSS files that are not 'custom' (so that the core CSS are no longer included in the page at all)

Matt, you have to understand that most of the customers previously edited the theme by modifying the changes directly in the cores's CSS. Hence such a big disappointment.
We both know that this is not a good practice and this change was needed, but nevertheless put yourself in the role of a customer without much technical knowledge who just wants to modify his theme, as he has done so far and knows this type of editing also from others CMS.
This is a big change and it strongly influences the way the theme is edited. I understand both sides.
In the end, I think it will be good for all of us, both for the customers and for the software itself.
