Jim M
What is the link here in question? Have you had your server provider disable all custom redirects and rewrites?
Stan Jensen
when there is a link on facebook, people get that. "Have you had your server provider disable all custom redirects and rewrites?" Should I ask them to do that?
Jim M
Just now, Stan Jensen said: when there is a link on facebook, people get that. We would need an example link. Just now, Stan Jensen said: Should I ask them to do that? Yes. That will help you eliminate anything you’re server is imposing on the software. Nathan Explosion
if you want a realistic reproduction...post a link to the Facebook post that has the link that then results in the issue you are seeing.

Nathan Explosion
Let's take FB out of the equation....here's the link they produce: https://clubadventist.com/forums/?fbclid=IwAR21m6WaHbIaXoDb7bFlXMn6da6W5AnNIGV6I6tW0YmLcZIaXlgRyYTP2tI Click it - same issue. Take the long string out of the equation: https://clubadventist.com/forums/?fbclid=1 Same issue. Add that query string to someone else's (who happens to be self-hosted) site URL https://www.ynwa.tv/?fbclid=1 No issue. Let's take that query string out of the equation: https://clubadventist.com/forums/?sausages Same issue. What are the contents of your .htaccess file that you have at the root of your Invision installation? Edited April 2 by Nathan Explosion
KT Walrus
Maybe you have a bad "Friendly URL" installed (in a third-party add-on?) that tries to match all query strings? This would cause an infinite redirect as the FURL would keep redirecting to itself. If you don't have any third-party add-ons, nevermind... Anyway, just a thought. TDBF
I'm getting this issue on this website when trying to access the client area. https://invisioncommunity.com/clientarea/ I can click on the Client Area button, but if I click on the 'Client Area' again, I get a page 'Problem loading Page, too many redirects'. Have you tried a different browser? I can’t replicate this.
