NGU Gaming Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Hello @Ryan H. I was just wondering if you can select who is allowed to use these tags? Dust

Dust You can control permissions for prefixes globally or on a per-prefix basis (by member group). You can control permissions for tagging globally, but not on a per-tag basis.
NoGi Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I've still got the old issue of when this plugin is enabled, any setting changes I do to my pages database don't actually save. If I disable just this one, setting changes save fine.

If I disable just this one, setting changes save fine. It's a known issue. I have not been able to isolate the root cause of the problem or find a solution that doesn't break my app in the process. I reached out to someone at IPS (a long while ago) but that never got anywhere. At this point, it's not moving anywhere. All I can suggest is temporarily disabling the app while you need to change DB settings.

Ohio Riders Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Mass-Add Tags or Prefixes doesn't appear to be working. It goes through the motions, but doesn't actually add any tags. I've tried with multiple different search words and tags (both existing and not) with no luck. Any ideas?

Someone reported the same a couple weeks ago, but I never got any further info. https://invisionpower.com/forums/topic/416840-advanced-tags-prefixes-ips-4x/?do=findComment&comment=2673701 What versions of IPB and AT&P? What filters or actions are you applying? Does anything show up if you go all the way into viewing one of the affected topics?
rgf100 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have a largish site which currently doesn't use tags. I was looking for options to mass-add tags to topics, and this looks useful. Can I assume if I use it for that everything will work fine if I later uninstall the AT&P.
Steve Herschbach Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 When I look at the Manage tags page I have 5 pages of tags and 90 more empty pages...

It's a bug with IPS relating to how the data is loaded. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it. The only thing wrong is the page count. Tags and prefixes are core IPS functionality (minus the added permissions, styling, etc. provided by the app). Tags will still be there even if the app is disabled or removed.
EmpireKicking Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Question, Can only selected boards can use this option?
Ryan H. Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 2 hours ago, EmpireKickass said: Question, Can only selected boards can use this option? I'm not sure what you mean. You can enable or disable tags/prefixes per-board, and you can also explicitly define the specific tags/prefixes allowed to be used in a given board. (For prefixes, it's required.)

Unlucky Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Is there a setting to stop the prefix showing in the page title Can this have an adverse effect on SEO? We have been told it does. For example https://www.walkingfootball.com/chat/topic/119-klb-walking-football/ Google will see this page title as [fitness session] KLB Walking Football Where as we want google to see it just as KLB Walking Football We use http://www.spyfu.com/ to do all our keyword / keyphrase analysis and name pages for seo purposes when we want to target a particular keyphrase. We are worried that the prefix in brackets is bad for this from what we have been told. We of course still want to use the prefix for topics - we just don't want it in the page title itself. So is there a way around this without manually editing every single page ourselves using the invision Live Meta Tag Editor thanks

sofos Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Hi @Ryan H. using the Mass Add Tool I can prefix all the threads of an entire forum category in a single shot. Later I can merge many categories and find the threads by prefix cloud. It is correct?

Metor Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Does this show a tags list for users on the front end?
