That's because Beta 1 wasn't designed to use the new CKEditor, it will in the next release. Although I won't guarantee it will work 100% on third party skins like that.

oh, that makes sense, thank you.

Have you applied the IE9 compatibility patch?

I haven't got a computer here at home I can test this on, but I'll check it when I get to work. I can't see any reason why IE9 wouldn't work, it's just a standard ajax call to do that reloading.

Yeah I have. However, I just noticed the same thing i IE8. Also, another IPB forum that has your shoutbox as well works perfectly.
The only difference is that I have it in the sidebar and the other site as a forum portal block.

I'm trying to figue out if I installed some weird hooks or anything that can affect this, but I can't see how the Shoutbox would be affected.

This is a bug with the sidebar version of the global shoutbox, it doesn't automatically refresh in any browser. I'll have this fixed for the next release.

Michael, a member on my site pointed out an issue with the Shoutbox and was wondering why the "edit" box or "post" box still uses the old style editor. Are there any plans to upgrade the Shoutbox so that it uses the IPB 3.2 "post" box?

Thanks, Michael. It wasn't a glitch, it was just something that one of my members noticed and I told him that I would pass along that suggestion. Thanks for continuing to improve the Shoutbox. It really should be an official IPS App.%7Boption%7D

What version of IP.Board are you using? That was a bug that IPS said they fixed in 3.2.0 Beta 3:

Same error, running 3.2 release.

I didn't get that error. The errors usually happen if you installed Shoutbox before and it became corrupted. I had the same problem ...

Could you post a link to this Shoutbox in your other shoutbox mod? Something like a "Shoutbox for IP.Board can be found here: .... " it was actually quite hard to find the app just barely.

working great slight problem, ajax refresh after awhile just sits there, and won't go aways.... keep the green blinker at the top.... etc

same problem here, i also had problems upgrading it and ended up having to do a fresh install.

Same error, running 3.2 release.

I've posted another bug report to IPS about that: http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-31897-another-fatal-error-during-application-upgrades/

I have so many resources that I'd really need to do this for all of them if I did it for one. A search for Shoutbox in the Marketplace should find both, then just look for the version it's compatible with.

Yeah, I've seen this before too, but I don't know that it's a Shoutbox thing, I've seen that on other, non-Shoutbox pages too.

Hey Michael, sorry if this has been asked already but it seems the shoutbox now and then randomly spazzes out and repeats like the last 2 or 3 shouts a load of times. It flashes for like 10 seconds whilst doing this then stops. If you refresh the page it goes away. Is there a way to fix this?
