Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 15, 200915 yr There have been many times recently when the board won't respond (or if it does it takes a few minutes). I know it's not my connection because I'll try the site from another location (remotely of course) and have the same issue. Then when it's responding, I can check the online users and during the time period the board wasn't responding, there was no activity. This time when I came into this feedback forum, it gave an error message and the CPU usage was enormously high. What's going on? :(
July 15, 200915 yr I thought this topic was implying that IPS, the company, was slow to respond often After viewing the topic, I realize you mean the forums here That's better Wolfie
July 15, 200915 yr I also experience this....I just thought it was maybe bc they host alot of people and they were having high load.
July 15, 200915 yr About every 5 or so clicks, I have to wait up to 30 seconds. Once the page starts to respond, it paints quickly.

July 16, 200915 yr Author [quote name='Gärrett' date='16 July 2009 - 04:02 AM' timestamp='1247731352' post='1826979'] Am I the only one who hasn't been seeing these issues at all? Must be.
July 16, 200915 yr The situation has improved. However I am still seeing the symptom that every tenth click or so takes about 10-15 seconds to load the page.

July 16, 200915 yr Management We often use our company forums to test things or put things under stress to see how they perform :)

Do it when others are using it but I'm not.

July 17, 200915 yr Management Yeah, we tweaked search and somewhere along the multiple SVN commits some code went missing. I fixed that. I still have a few other things to tinker with. FTR, 3.0.1 contains the 'fixed' version of search.
July 18, 200915 yr I still get some slow downs but not near as bad as it has been spoke to soon lol page load time 15.7961 sec
July 18, 200915 yr I too, am finding that it is better but still slowdowns especially re-connecting to the board.
July 18, 200915 yr Yup me to. This forum has been very slow over the weekend. One time I just gave up after waiting about 20 seconds and nothing happened. I would have a mutiny on my hands if my forum ran slow like this one here. 3DKiwi
