You are using MySQL 5.7 server. This version is not available for AlmaLinux 8. You first need to update your MySQL server to 8.0 or later. You can update to version 8.0 using the following command: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/whmapi1 start_background_mysql_upgrade version=8.0 Once the MySQL upgrade is finished, you can then retry to elevate to AlmaLinux 8. System is not up to date So, is this an issue if I proceed with this MySQL update? I am up to date running the latest release of the forum software. Thanks!

This has been plaguing us for a few months now. Nothing has changed on the hosting side, uploads used to be error free. Limits are where they should be. The problem is it pops up with a -200 error when uploading, but only sometimes. I have noticed that if you just try over and over it will eventually upload just fine, but sometimes it takes 5-20 times to go through. I have a video showing it. Hello, What would cause Spam Defense to prevent my registering on my own, brand new forum? When testing OAuth2 login/account creation, I kept getting "You are not permitted to register on this forum." I tried anything and everything, until I discovered that turning off Spam Defense fixed it. Looking at my logs, the Response was "4". What does this mean? Thanks! God bless. James

Greetings. I have been using the IPB forum software since 2008 and have gone through the software updates, upgrades, secured server changes, config changes etc to the point now it has become a mess. Now when I go to open my forum area a page wants me to install Invision Community 4. When I try to do so I get a 500 error. I can't go any further. My license is active. What should be my next step? Also, I am unable to download the most recent software from the client area. Thanks

Hi Is there posible to block editing blockquotes ? Why ? When someone quote our post and can edit that as he want it rly provide to leads to many inaccuracies and putting words into someone else's mouth. When u sayd "X" and someone quote that post and edit them that u sayd "Y" The problem on our forum is that anyone quoting can edit the quote and add their own sentences, etc. etc And the second one is that when u mark text on quote on someone post X that quote post of Y when u quote it its like u quote post on X and not real author.

I'm trying to conduct a Community upgrade but I cannot login to the CP Admin When I enter my login credentials, I receive this error: When I click "Send anyway" I am redirected back to the login screen. It appears that the login might be processing correctly, because I received an alert that I was signing in from a new device via email (I tried logging in from different browsers on different devices to see if that would rectify the issue, which it didn't) and yes the login interface is rendered under an https instance.

My provider just informed me that in three weeks mySQL will be upgraded from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0.33. I'm running Version 4.7.12 (planning to do the last upgrade in the next days). Any problems ahead when mySQL switches to 8.0.33 ? TIA Andreas

Hi, I encountered a problem in v4.7.12. Not sure if this issue have been fixed in v4.7.13 as I just saw there was a new update available. Basically, the client have created an order and paid via paypal which the payment was successfully approved and deducted. However, the final order status was shown as "Payment was refused". In the Transaction History it shows:- - Paid with Paypal with payment reference info - Refused (09/11/23 06:33 AM) with the following message:- Order already authorized.If 'intent=AUTHORIZE' only one authorization per order is allowed. I had a user report and can replicate this easily. I appears at least with the combination of Firefox (mobile and desktop) and Cloudflare with guest caching. Visit site without stored cookies Cookie bar appears Click Accept or Reject Site shows an error (2S119/1) and URL changes to mysite.com/cookies/?do=cookieConsent I guess it has something to do with the CSFR key being cached and used for multiple users, but I have no idea how to fix this without turning off guest caching altogether.

Today, I have noticed that Facebook doesn't pull my site's OG images. Twitter works fine, so I am not sure if it's a Facebook issue, something changed with Facebook or whatever. Yet I did a search to see if anyone else has mentioned this, and I couldn't find anything. I have searched Google and I noticed that SSL certificate issues can be the cause, it worked fine yesterday and no server configuration has occurred. I have put in a support request with my host, however, I am wondering if IPS can suggest anything?

Hi there, I am facing one very wired thing here. I have created staging website of current forum and set up it on 8.0 PHP version and it's started throwing errors. I have tried to find the solutions but I didn't get any success yet. I am getting error like no files or directory found. I suspect this problem might be occurred due to folder path or database but I have changed the path and the error is still remains the same. Hi I'm looking for your help and advise. We had our hosting upgraded to a new server and now we have this issue recommendation. Will missing this GMP PHP extension have any other knock on problems? Hello, Every Saturday night, and sometimes in the middle of the week, my site is "choking" and working very slowly and sometimes crashes. When it happens, my server CPU shows 100 %. What could be the reason for that? How can i debug it the next time it happens?

Hiya Guys Using a self-hosted version here on an InMotion VPS. What is the best way for me to take a manual backup of just my invision install (not wordpress) using cPanel please? I went in to enable rewrite-friendly URLs and got the error that I needed the .htaccess file, which I already had, so it was just a simple updating it to the one provided. So I did that. Since then, whenever I click on a page on the website, it downloads the Index.php file. Cleared my browser cache, but the issue remains whenever I try to access the website, making it so I can not access the admin panel and can only access CP File Manager. I am obviously missing something/forgetting something, but I just can't think what it is. Thanks 🙂

Hello, We have our forum installed and working. Currently, this is not being indexed by Google, because you have to be logged in in order to see the content. Is there a way to allow the tool to show the content to search crawlers, but not to clients? This technique is called "content cloaking" and it's allowed by Google, among others. When I embed a gallery into a pages article, the gallery doesn’t display after saving. It will flash on the screen momentarily and then disappear. If I view the code of the post, the gallery code is still there, but doesn’t display.
